Katie far exceeded any expectations my wife and I could have imagined for a wedding planner. From the first meeting with her, it was clear that Katie was organized, experienced, an...
d passionate about making sure our wedding went exactly how we envisioned it.
Over the course of our roughly 18-month engagement, Katie could not have been more attentive to our needs. She laid out the schedule (managed through basecamp) for both our tasks and hers, and was always quick to respond to our questions. I would say one of her biggest strengths was in helping us fill in the gaps in our vision for the big day and knowing which questions to ask vendors and ourselves when it came to design preferences. She even made sure to reach out when it looked like we were starting to fall behind on our tasks, which we certainly needed. She always had stellar recommendations for vendors but never pressured us to actually take her recommendation. We learned quickly that when Katie recommends someone, they're probably the right fit for the job :)
While I can't sing Katie's praises enough for her guidance in planning the wedding, she was unbelievable on the day-of. When we needed to resort to the rain plan- every bride's worst fear- Katie coordinated all the necessary changes with our vendors and made sure that set-up flowed smoothly. We have since had a few guests that thought the rain plan was our original plan all along!
We are so thankful that we chose to hire Katie to help plan and coordinate our big day! She was already very familiar with our venue (which was a huge plus) and was beyond organiz...
ed, which was something that was important to us when we were looking for a wedding planner. She was very responsive to all of our calls and emails and knew all of the answers to any questions that we had. She put together the most incredible timeline for the weekend to help keep everyone on schedule, which was a must as this was a destination wedding for most of our guests. She recommended several amazing vendors and had lots of suggestions on how to add in little touches to make our wedding special (her idea to have a food truck for late night bites was her best idea for sure!) A few weeks before our wedding, she took over handling our entire vendor team so that we could relax and be as stress free as possible. She managed everything the day of, and if anything went wrong, we still don't know about it! Katie is amazing and we would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a great planner! Thank you Katie!
Katie is simply fantastic. She not only knows the ins and outs of event coordination and planning, but she really knows how to make sure the bride and groom (and their parents!) ar...
e able to enjoy their special day. We completely trusted that no detail was overlooked and that all of our guests were taken care of. Katie's expertise mixed with our personal touches worked well together to create a truly unforgettable day ...plus, my husband and I actually got to eat dinner at our own wedding! Perhaps most memorably, Katie worked with our wedding party to pull of an incredible surprise at the end of our ceremony where some wonderful, talented, musical friends led our guests in a surprise serenade of "Can't Take My Eyes Off of You" - the perfect personal touch to our perfect day!
What a terrific wedding planner! Katie is with you from the moment the planning starts and well after the event is over. Her outstanding organization skills and network of vendors ...
are impressive. She is so patient with her clients and on top of everything!
Katie created the wedding of our daughters dreams. We feel so blessed to have had Katie to take care of this once in a lifetime event. Everyone who attended said it was the best planned wedding event they had ever attended.
Thank you Katie and we will certainly be using Pure Whimsy Events for our next celebration.

I can't say enough good things about Katie from Pure Whimsy Events. My family and I to this day still say that Katie was the best money spent on the wedding. From start to finish...
, and even after the wedding, Katie assisted us with all things wedding; from selecting reputable vendors, to looking over contracts and vendor quotes, to providing great design feedback. The weeks leading up to the wedding, Katie was invaluable as she ensured all vendors were ready for our big day. Most importantly, the day of, Katie took the reins and allowed my husband and I to enjoy a stress free wedding day. For those of you considering a wedding planner, you’ve found the one! And for those of you with a tight wedding budget, budget Katie in, it will be worth it, I promise!
Katie is awesome! When we first met with Katie we knew she was the one instantly. We utilized a slew of vendors and a site that Katie had never worked with before and she took it a...
ll in stride. I know that a wedding coordinators job can not be easy but to do their job on top of having never worked with the vendors and still hitting a home run is just absolutely amazing. Katie provides excellent feed back regarding wedding matters and goes above and beyond the package that you pay for. She is very responsive and goes out of her way to ensure that she talks with you on a regular basis. She makes you feel like you are her only client even though she is working with dozens of people at once. Katie goes out of her way to ensure that her clients get the best possible wedding day and that they enjoy every minuet of the day. Katie even picked up a lunch we ordered the day of the wedding and delivered it to the hotel for us so she could ensure that we ate before things got underway that day. It was that level of dedication that made our wedding day very very wonderful and for that we will be eternally grateful. If you want a wonderful coordinator then Katie should be at the top of your list.
Katie was the absolute best! The whole time we were planning people kept telling me to be prepared for something to go wrong the day of the wedding. I have no recollection of anyth...
ing going wrong. If it did, Katie made sure I didn't know about it. We hired her for her day of services. This gave us unlimited emails, phone calls, and text messages and 3 in person meetings. She made phone calls and sent emails to all of our vendors to make sure they knew where they needed to be and when they needed to be there. She was there for our rehearsal and she was at our hotel bright and early the morning of the wedding. She also has an amazing assistant that took care of all the prep at the reception venue. She made my wedding planning experience exactly what it should be, fun and exciting! My husband and I are so lucky to have had her as a part of our big day!
I was the type of Bride who has envisioned her wedding day since I was a little girl so naturally I wanted to plan every aspect of my wedding, but I didn't want to worry about all ...
the little details I planned on my actual wedding day so I hired Katie to be our day-of-coordinator. This was absolutely the BEST decision I made. Since we booked her 9 months before our wedding we were able to take advantage of the online management system she provides all her Brides. It literally had an entire list of everything that needed to be done and a place where I can keep all my notes and send little notes to Katie. Because of this program the transition to handing everything over to her was so seamless and very easy! She went above and beyond her call of duty. At the end of the day she did anything and everything for my husband and I to enjoy our wedding day and not have to worry at all. I cannot recommend her enough! My friend has already hired her for her wedding next year. Thanks again Katie!!!
