Hi, I'm Billy Quesenberry, owner and DJ of Q It Up Sounds & Entertainment. With over 15 years of experience and close to 300 weddings performed, I've helped hundreds of couples create wedding days that are fun, seamless, and memorable. Every wedding is different, and I take the time to learn what matters most to you so your celebration feels authentic and personal.
On your wedding day, I'll do much more than play music. I'll coordinate with your vendors, wedding party, and family members to keep everything running smoothly. Before every announcement, toast, special dance, or key moment, I check with you and your photographer to ensure everyone is ready and nothing is missed. This allows you to relax, be present, and enjoy every moment with the people you love most.
When it's time to celebrate, I'll create a soundtrack tailored to your guests and your vision. The music at your wedding is tailored to your preferences, creating an experience that reflects your personality and keeps the energy flowing throughout the night.

He runs a one-man operation so you know which are getting for any event, and he is very transparent regarding availability. His pricing was very reasonable compared with other vendors. We were wedding planning novices, and he helped us to come up with a whole timeline for our event and helped us to craft a wedding reception was truly unique and special. He helped us handle everything from entry music to special songs for honored family members to couples' dances, and picture dances. During the reception he really took charge and pretty much ran the whole event on schedule. He helped keep us on track. He really took notice of the requested songs that we sent him and he played all of the music that we asked for and more. Day of he arrived super early to get everything set up and started playing background music before our guests started arriving. We also decided to use his uplighting and photo booth package which I highly recommend! The uplighting made a huge difference in our venue and really set the tone for the dance floor. Even though we didn’t get a videographer we felt like we got one with Billy and his Photo Booth! He sent us a highlight video of our reception and beautifully captured our private last dance. Also, if you want a DJ that will keep everyone on the dance floor all night long he is the man for the job. He played all of our favorite songs and made sure everyone was having a great time! ’ve hired a great DJ when the people around you compliment them and it’s not just you and your significant other who likes them.
Billy’s process to gather information was also super helpful!! It was seamless for us to gather him information due to how his Spotify Link upload worked for song recommendations, as well as questionnaires for different details he needed to know for our wedding.
My favorite thing about Billy above all though, would be he actually took time to get to know us. He wasn’t just a DJ looking to get money or to “book a gig”. He is a DJ that wants to make sure he knows his clients and ensures they will have a great time with zero worries due to his services. There was even this one moment where we could not meet for our final follow up with the time slots he provided (and if you’re reading this - that was not because of his time slots, it was because we were just so busy with finalizing our wedding in so many different areas). Billy went out of his way to allow us to schedule a time late at night that was past his time slots.
Billy also rolled with some punches on the day of the wedding which speaks to his ability to adapt to your needs! We had planned things that were taken out and we had some things that needed to be added in due to our wedding guests not answering correct questions for the fun trivia game he provided. He was willing to go with the flow and work with your needs to ensure he wasn’t just DJing, but being there for you on your big day.
To sum this all up, Billy isn’t just phenomenal DJ, he’s a great a person to work with. And if you’re anything like me, that just leaves a mark. I don’t do reviews, nevertheless in depth like this. I’m not doing this because he asked me to or because it’s the “right thing to do” after a wedding for your vendors. I’m doing this because I believe if you read this and are deciding on somebody for your event, please stop looking. Book Billy. You won’t regret it.

ing, working with Billy provided a level of comfort & peace of mind; putting us at ease that not matter what happened the day of, Billy would be able to handle and roll with it. When the day-of came, Billy set up at the Omni Severin without any issues and his station was very clean, nice, and professional. He had everything finalized well before the day-of and knew exactly what to do. Billy balanced going above and beyond without being intrusive or distracting in any way. During the reception, we threw him a curveball and he was able to easily improv, as we needed more time than planned to visit guest's tables. The dancing later on was fantastic, Billy was able to keep the dance floor full and going the entire evening. Keeping a good balance of high energy/dancing songs with slower mood songs. A very nice, unexpected touch was a short highlights clip of the dancing that Billy took and provided after. My wife and I can't thank Billy enough and would highly recommend him to anyone for their wedding.

He created a perfect schedule for us, communicated with every single one of our vendors, and always went out of his way to make sure we had everything we wanted/needed. Many of our guests even said that he was one of the best wedding DJ's they'd ever heard. His photo booth was a huge hit! From the very beginning, Billy was the consummate professional. We had three Skype meetings prior to our wedding to discuss all the details regarding pricing, timetable, our expectations of him and music preferences. The day of the wedding, Billy arrived four and half hours prior to the ceremony to ensure evrything was set up perfectly. The ceremony music was flawless, but nothing compares to our recption. Billy had the dance floor packed from start to finish. He correctly read the vibe of the room, and played music that appealed to all of our guests, young to old. Through out the reception, Billy checked in with my husband and I to ensure everything was going well. Billy even brought my husband his first drink! We truly cannot recommend him more. our wedding ceremony and reception. Billy even came to our rehearsal to help us prepare and practice for the ceremony! His skill as a DJ made the night go so well. An important aspect for us in choosing a wedding DJ was smooth transitions between songs. Billy kept the party going all night long! His website was easy to use to select our favorite music for preceremony, ceremony, the cocktail party, dinner, and the reception. He even helped me orchestrate a special surprise first dance song for me and my dad! We also chose the photo booth option and it was so great that we didn't need an additional vendor at our wedding because he was able to provide that service. 10/10 recommend Billy!

Working with Billy was absolutely amazing. He is so friendly and made the process very easy on our end. He knew exactly what to do to make our reception flow while keeping it fun....
He also offered great suggestions that we took him up on, like the photo dash (which was a huge hit and so fun!) and his photo booth. And of course, he threw a GREAT party that we and our guests absolutely LOVED. Definitely work with Billy for your wedding - you will be so, so glad that you did!

He also got to know our personal music tastes and let us help pick the dinner music, which was a great way to incorporate our styles of music that aren't wedding dance floor friendly. d all questions we had no matter how stupid those questions may have been. We had two meetings with him before the wedding which he went above and beyond in helping us understand everything that went into scheduling the day and even helped me decide things that really were above his pay grade lol. I had such a peace of mind going into my wedding reception because he was truly so organized, so well planned, and so informative during all of the planning sessions I just knew everything would go smoothly.. which is exactly how a bride wants to feel going into her big day! Not to mention how quick to respond and how friendly he was every time I needed to communicate with him before hand. During our reception he ran around like crazy making sure the photographer, videographer, bar tender, etc were all perfectly timed for each thing that was to come next.. he even did things that he totally did not need to do like went and found us a knife to cut our desert lol. I could go on and on about how amazing of an experience we had with Billy as our wedding DJ, but my point is that he is 100% is the best DJ and you will not regret booking with him!!!

le times before the wedding, answered any question we had, worked with our vendors day of, kept the entire evening moving smoothly, checked in with us about any decision, and played awesome music. We couldn't have asked for a better DJ and would recommend him to anyone. He offers many additional things to add onto your package and we personally chose to add glow sticks and his photo booth. The guests loved the glow sticks and thought it made the dancing super fun. The photo booth was worth every penny. Our guests had so much fun creating pictures, videos, boomerangs, and even adding filters to the pictures. The pictures were incredibly clear and sent directly to your phone with a link. The photo booth was a huge hit and we highly recommend adding it to your package. You will not regret booking with Billy.

and on the wedding day. Billy met with us several times and I loved his system that he uses and that we used Zoom so we can talk face to face. It felt like we knew each other before meeting on the wedding day. He had a whole template for all the different songs we needed to fill in and a great system where I could upload spotify playlists for pre-ceremony, cocktail, dinner, dancing. It was easy-peasy for us as a couple. Also, in one of our initial touch base meetings, Billy sensed that Run and I hadn't really thought out what we were going to do for our ceremony and provided a lot of suggestions that got our brains churning. Billy was flexible and made us feel at ease and made sure we had everything we needed during dinner. Billy didn't just play music for us during the dancing, he was able to read the crowd, field song requests appropriately, and hyped the dance floor up! Almost everyone who I touched base with the days following the wedding said our DJ was SO AWESOME and helped create a fun atmosphere! My dad even gave Billy a hug at the end of the night! I 100% recommend Billy if you are looking for not just a DJ who is knowledgeable about music but also a great host to your wedding that can definitely keep the night going!
