ly members had their CARS BROKEN INTO!! PLEASE MAKE SURE EVERYONE LOCKS CARS when they get to your wedding and HIDES ALL VALUABLES! The people who had their cars broken into had broken windows for them to get in because they had left purses/valuables out in the open. We had to call the police two different times for this during the wedding which stressed us out on our big day. The park rangers didn't seem to care when we told them again at the end of the night and said it happens often. When I called in to the site manager after she didn't really have a solution to this either and just said they cannot have an officer sit there all day... A few good things about this place: The price can't be beat for such a beautiful space. However you definitely should consider hiring a day of coordinator as no one works there during the day so you must do every little thing yourself and also clean up after before 11pm. We made it work and still had a great day. The park rangers were not very friendly when we were checking out after the wedding, but were great every other encounter we had with them.

of. This venue consists of the space, tables, and chairs. Everything else must be brought in on the day-of AND removed before 11pm the same day. Early set-up is not allowed and leaving items behind is not allowed, unless you pay for a full additional day. A few hiccups I encountered: on my wedding day I noticed a missed call from the ranger’s station. No voicemail. I called back to see if everything was ok. They told me I was supposed to be at the venue to get the keys at 930 am that day. No one told me this before. I said ok, my family is en route with decor and such, but I was then told they would not give the keys to them because it was my name on the rental agreement. Once again, this was brand-new information. I rushed over to the venue IN MY PAJAMAS on the morning of my wedding to get the damn key. You have to work with the Park Rangers who do a walk-through of the space before and after. If you are a bride and anticipate leaving the venue before the reception is over, no you can’t. If your name is on the rental agreement, you must be present at the end of the night while the ranger does the walk-through. If you don’t mind hauling trash bags out to the dumpster in your wedding dress, then this place is for you👌🏼

al event was amazing. The parks department--both desk staff and park rangers were great! They were SO helpful! I was worried about fitting 11 72" tables in for guests with enough room, but we actually had a TON of extra room. They provide 72" round tables and 8 ft rectangular tables, along with folding chairs. I highly recommend the Lodge! Also, we had SO many compliments about our venue as well. Everyone loved all the windows and the charm of the wood paneling.

80 guests- I could have fit more people, but the room also never felt too big. We were essentially given the keys and pre-requested (but free of charge!) tables and chairs and left to ourselves. I personally appreciated the freedom that allowed, though when we did need something the rangers could be difficult to get hold of, but that didn't have any major impact on my event

night. The park ranger was beyond rude! It was shocking. We had everything cleaned up by 10:50 pm, so many of our friends stayed to help us. The park ranger immediately came up to everyone in a rude way. He cursed at our families and our guests (in front of children). He seemed like he was on a mission to find a reason not to sign off on our refund of the deposit. Of course he couldn't find a reason not to issue the refund, but not for the lack of trying. He even claimed there was broken glass, it was a leaf... If you're on a budget this is a beautiful venue, just be prepared to deal with an ignorant and rude park ranger at the end of the night.

orth the extra for the second day. Despite the fact that decor can be limited, the wood backdrop makes for stunning pictures, and outside is just as beautiful! We rented for a half day on Thursday for the rehearsal dinner and set-up and had a Friday Wedding and it couldn't have been any more perfect! I would recommend to any bride-on a budget or not! The fact that you can pick all other vendors is a no-brainer also.

've seen there. The entire city lost power the day of my wedding but they came down as soon as possible and helped to calm our nerves as we waited for power. The place looked gorgeous and everyone was impressed by our venue.

rude about getting you out early. The park ranger actually yelled at me to get people out of the bathroom, even though we had the venue until 11. With that being said, if you are willing to deal with the park rangers it is a good venue

is PERFECT for the DIY brides out there hoping for a blank canvas. They also allow you to bring in outside catering! We had Pi Pizza. Great service working with the park rangers and they very much enjoy a little "wedding planning" themselves, haha. Would ABSOLUTELY recommend this location for someone wanting a rustic wedding with a DIY feel.

deck was great to have for guests who wanted to be outside to enjoy the weather. The cost was amazing for this location and the park rangers were so nice to work with.

y husband had to go outside and pick all of the cig butts off of the ground in the pooring rain. I understand why they wanted that done though. They were pretty quick in getting my deposit back and everything. Great place!

ugly green metal so it looks much nicer to rent nice white ones for a wedding I spent $1 extra per chair.

or out are a hit or miss. They can be really sweet or real jerks so don't be put off by one give them another chance.
