She was a perfect match for us and she seamlessly blended my and my husband's different cultures, traditions, practices, and particular flavors of spirituality into a one-of-a-kind ceremony. Our guests raved about how much they enjoyed the ceremony, specifically complementing its warmth and the fusion of several cultures. Hello! Here is a little info about me. I am the founder and Rabbi of MAKOMnj: A New Kind of Jewish Community. We are the perfect place for people who aren’t *that* religious or are looking for connection that is Jewish or Jew-ish. MAKOMnj helps me to fulfill my vision of making Judaism accessible to all while helping individuals to find meaning in their own way. In my free time, I sing, play guitar, and love karaoke (my go to song is Unwritten by Natasha Bedingfield). I am a graduate of Pitt and received Ordination from the Hebrew Union College. he lead-up to our wedding because she made every conversation feel so fun, relaxed, and deeply meaningful. She also guided us through the planning process for our ceremony in a way that made space for our Jewish and Christian backgrounds while fore-fronting the things that were meaningful to us. The result was that our work with Rabbi Miller was our favorite part of the wedding planning process, and our ceremony felt beautiful for us and our families in the moment, and afterwards, almost every single one of our many guests came up to us to express how beautiful and moving the ceremony was for them. Almost none of the guests at our wedding had experienced a Jewish ceremony before, and every person felt included in the ceremony and able to understand each part of it thanks to Rabbi Miller. We are so grateful that we were able to be married by Rabbi Miller. She made the start of our marriage beautiful, inclusive, moving, and "haimish" -- the rare combination of cozy, fun, and meaningful that we had hoped that our wedding ceremony would be.

She also provided counseling and some great practical advice about the ceremony based on her experience (on our young flower girl, breaking of the glass, etc.). On our actual wedding day, Rabbi Miller made everyone in the family feel special and included, and was flexible with timing when rain posed a threat to our lakeside wedding.
