Rabbi Janice performed our wedding and she did such an incredible job. Our crowd was very mixed, with some never having attended a Jewish wedding and some having primarily only att...
ended Jewish weddings. Rabbi Janice infused our ceremony with the perfect level of explanation to enrich the Jewish traditions we chose to include and provide meaning to us and our guests without being pedantic. Many of our guests, both Jewish and non-Jewish, commented that the ceremony was extremely meaningful, and we felt so too. Rabbi Janice also put our nerves at ease and worked with us prior to the big day to ensure the balance we were looking for, and she executed it perfectly. We cannot recommend her enough!
Rabbi Janice was so amazing to work with. She was unbelievably great in helping us determine what we wanted to include and exclude in our ceremony, and she explained everything so ...
thoroughly. Our families were so impressed with Rabbi Janice's ceremony. She really understood us as a couple and made us feel so special!
Rabbi Janice was incredible! From our first meeting we felt comfortable and at ease with her even though we had never met before. She was easy to work with and helped steer us the ...
right way when we had trouble coming to a conclusion. All of guests raved about her after our wedding ceremony! When it looked like it was going to rain right before our ceremony she quickly pivoted and provided a more succinct version of our ceremony so we didn't get rained out! Our ceremony was a huge success and we're so happy with our decision to use Rabbi Janice. As an added plus she has an incredible singing voice!
We cannot recommend Rabbi Janice highly enough!! Initially we were nervous that planning a long distance wedding during Covid would mean that we ended up with a random "rent-a-rabb...
i" who didn't know or connect with us as a couple. Our experience was the complete opposite. Rabbi Janice went above and beyond to get to know us by way of several Zooms and calls, and really made sure that we felt supported every step of the way. She took the time to learn about our traditions and our families, and helped us to brainstorm ways to customize the ceremony so that we felt most comfortable. She handled complicated family dynamics with grace and compassion.
When we were notified last minute that we were responsible for providing the chuppah canopy, Rabbi Janice had us ship it to her home offering to hand sew the ties for us. She even sent it to the dry cleaners first to make sure there weren't any wrinkles! This may seem like a small task, but amongst the chaos of wedding planning, it was SO greatly appreciated. We received compliments from our wedding guests about how wonderful Rabbi Janice is, as well. She brings a warmth to any room she steps into. We are so grateful for Rabbi Janice and look forward to keeping in touch with her for many years to come!
Rabbi Janice was outstanding in every respect. We have an interfaith marriage, and we wanted a ceremony that honored Jewish traditions without alienating non-Jewish family. She wor...
ked through each component of the ceremony with us, making us feel comfortable and adapting it in all the ways we wanted. Rabbi Janice made the ceremony about our relationship, while sharing the concise history of the traditions - including producing modern adaptations of some blessings - without being preachy. Family members on both sides raved about it for days afterwards, some saying it was among the best wedding ceremonies they've attended. Maybe they're just telling us that to make us feel good, but in many weddings the ceremony is the boring part people suffer through to get to the party, and ours felt like it was actually a highlight (in a day of highlights).
Rabbi Janice also performed our Ketubah signing. She arrived early, and chatted with our family until we were ready. She explained what we were doing and made the process smooth. We had a small wedding, with only 18 guests, and the whole experience felt very personal. Before the wedding, she offered to be available as much or as little as we wanted in advance.
Rabbi Janice was absolutely wonderful! She performed a lovely ceremony, tailored exactly to our needs, filled with warmth and tradition. She was attentive during our pre-wedding zo...
om sessions and incorporated our specific requests perfectly. We would 100% recommend her to any couple without hesitation. Thank you so much for being a part of our special day!
We can't say enough about how wonderful Rabbi Janice was as our officiant. She created a warm, intimate feeling during our ceremony and did a beautiful job of including and explai...
ning tradition and ritual. Our ceremony was exactly what we wanted, and our guests loved her! Rabbi Janice was one of the highlights of our wedding, both for us and our guests. We recommend her to anyone seeking a personal, thoughtful officiant.
Rabbi Janice was the perfect officiant for our April 2022 wedding! My fiancé and I are in an interfaith relationship and Rabbi Janice helped us to craft a ceremony that felt authen...
tic and genuine for our unique needs. We met a few times before the wedding so that she could get to know us better and provided us with thoughtful marriage counseling. The ceremony itself was better than we could have imagined. She kept us both calm and focused on the most important parts of the day - our marriage and love for each other and our families. We received so many compliments from our guests on our ceremony. We can’t recommend Rabbi Janice enough - she was a dream come true!
My wife and I form both an interfaith and interracial union. Given our desire to have a traditional Jewish ceremony, we were worried about whether we would find a Rabbi who could w...
eave our histories and traditions together into a meaningful service. We were very lucky, then, to find Rabbi Mehring, who worked with us to create the wedding for which we had always hoped. Rabbi Mehring was willing to meet with us every step of the way and offered her keen spiritual insight to our planning process. She was in every way helpful and accommodating on the day itself--from providing a large enough tallit for us to use to working with us on last minute changes to the ceremony. In sum, we could not have hoped for a better Rabbi to officiate our wedding.
We had a very safe and beautiful covid wedding that was officiated by Rabbi Janice. It was really important to her to make a wedding reflective of us and it was accomplished. We w...
ould hire her again in a heartbeat!
Rabbi Janice Mehring was our officiant for our wedding ceremony in Paso Robles. We first spoke with her over the phone to go over what kind of ceremony we were looking for and dec...
ided she would be perfect for our vision. In the 6 months leading up to the ceremony, she was always available when we had to update her on time changes and she got back to us within a couple of hours. She made our ceremony very special and I am so glad we met her. We highly recommend her!
Rabbi Janice was an integral part of our most special day. We could not have possibly chosen a better Officiant. She is compassionate, and accommodating yet professional and succi...
nct (no unnecessary rambling like some Officiants) She also has a beautiful singing voice. My husband and I came from different faith backgrounds and she was more than helpful with incorporating important individual aspects into our wedding ceremony. I would tell other couples to not think twice about using Rabbi Janice as their Officiant for any special occasion.
Janice was our officiant for our wedding. She was amazing from start to finish, we spoke with her on the phone and she was so nice and warm, she allowed my partner and I to feel so...
comfortable throughout the whole process. We looked and talked to several officiants but Janice was by far the best. She walked us through the whole process and it wasn't easy since it was during the Covid-19 pandemic. On the day of the wedding, there wasn't a dry eye in the house. Janice personalized our ceremony to be non-denominational, since my wife and I aren't religious. She was absolutely amazing!!! My wife and I are so greatful she was part of our wedding, it was a day we will never forget.
