Rabbi Steve Nathan

We cannot praise Rabbi Stephen Nathan enough. We first discovered the Rabbi through an interfaith website when searching for someone to perform our daughter's baby naming ceremony. We knew upon our first meeting that he was the right fit for us for our future wedding. He has a calm, collected demeanor that puts you right at ease. He is a wealth of information, and you can see the passion that he has for Judaism, and the interest in others' faiths as well. For the wedding, he offered multiple counseling sessions. When our first wedding date had to be canceled due to covid, he found a way to perform a beautiful zoom ceremony for our closest friends and family. When we had the big in person ceremony two years later, he helped us with crafting a wonderful blend of Jewish tradition and contemporary insights in a way that felt just right. Traditional elements we incorporated included circling and the signing of the ketubah. We were able to choose a holistic version of the seven blessings that everyone at our wedding could appreciate in spite of their own varied customs. Rabbi Steve added many anecdotes along the way, both personal and historical. When necessary, he provided background information so that everyone could understand the meaning behind the traditions. Rabbi Steve has great humor as well, which helped to relieve anxiety during points that didn't quite go as planned. Ultimately, everything turned out beautifully. Rabbi Steve's preparedness for the event was terrific. His leadership over the day was truly professional. Our service was deeply spiritual, heartfelt, and unifying. Family and wedding guests for months after could not stop talking about what a lovely, authentic, and one-of-a-kind service it was. He also makes a great tasting challah, which he will bake for the ceremonies upon request.

He met with us multiple times prior to the wedding so that we can get to know each other and understand the role that Judaism plays in our lives.
