Rabbi/Cantor Marcey Wagner

Hello, I am Rabbi/Cantor Marcey Wagner and I truly enjoy officiating at weddings in my hometown of Long Island as well as in destinations far and wide. I pride myself in being an experienced and welcoming professional who creates ceremonies that are meaningful and are inspired by the stories of those saying “I do”. I specialize in Jewish ceremonies that incorporate diverse spiritual traditions from around the world, from the past, and new modern innovative ones as well. I have has been officiating weddings for many years and I welcome couples from all walks of life. My spiritual training includes a Masters Degree from the Jewish Theological Seminary, but my true education comes from spending time upon the pulpit. and my years of experience working with couples and families. Whether celebrating a traditional event or a modern affair, I always do my very best to listens to couples' needs and their creative vision. I meet with couples several times in person or virtually to discuss their upcoming ceremony and what they would like it to express. I encourage to-be-weds to make their ceremony personal and celebrate it in their own way. As a trained cantor as well as a rabbi, my singing of the traditional prayers adds to the beauty of the ritual elements of the ceremony. I will always make myself available for pre-marriage counseling sessions, if couples request them. My contact information is always provided to each couple so that I can be reached at any time with questions large and small. My goal is to make the wedding experience one of joy and to diminish any anxiety.
