Rachael Hall Photography

Rachael did a great job at our daughter's wedding in April. Rachael is fun and easy going and she and her crew were thorough, yet unobtrusive. I have been to many weddings where the photographer was always in the way. Not so with Rachael and her assistants, they blended in so well, many guests couldn't even tell who the photographers were! Rachael's photos are beautiful and it was really hard to pick which ones to print. Our keepsake books turned out beautifully. Definitely money well spent!

I don't think words can really describe how amazing Rachael Hall is. My husband is so uncomfortable in front of the camera, but during our engagement photo session Rachael was able to be just as goofy as him and made him forget the camera was there. And at the wedding she brought that same personality back and the picture turned out amazing. Even when our schedules didn't match she would make time for a phone call so we could go over proofs. There is not a photo I wish we had taken before I could even think of something she was on top of it. Oh the best part is the amazing engagement and wedding photo books. For any special occasion that calls for a photographer she will always be my first choice.

We couldn't have been luckier to have found Rachael. My husband was stationed in San Antonio, Texas at the time and I was coming to visit from California. We needed a photographer for our engagement photos ASAP. We found Rachael at the last minute and she came all the way from Austin for our shoot at Brackenridge Park. She was AMAZING and made us feel like we had known her forever. She went along with our quirky ideas. We were blown away when we got the actual photos. Her framing and editing eye our impeccable. Rachael was such a love and an exceptional photographer, that we decided to fly her out to our California New Year's Eve Wedding. A year later and our guests are still talking about our wedding photos.

My husband and I could not be more pleased with our experience with Rachael Hall. From the moment we met Rachael, we knew she would be the one to capture the moments shared at our wedding. We live in Dallas, and were getting married in San Antonio which added a layer of complexity to the wedding planning process. Rachael worked around our busy schedules and made time for us when we were going to be in the San Antonio area for planning meetings. Working with Rachael was more than a business transaction. She places great emphasis on making sure that you are comfortable and enjoy the day. It rained on our wedding day and many things changed the day of. Rachael had been working with our wedding planner days before to understand changes in venue, layout, lighting, etc. so she could familiarize herself and be prepared. When we look back at the photos, we feel like we are right back at our wedding! The photos of the day turned out great and captured the wedding details perfectly along with the love and passion from all our guest!

Rachael was the absolute best. She was very accommodating while we were trying to book our engagement shoot. Since my husband lived in Seattle, she agreed to meet with us on Easter Sunday so we could get pictures done for our website. She worked hard at getting to know my husband and me during our engagement shoot, which made us feel super comfortable on our wedding day. Rachael is warm, funny, and an overall wonderful person. Our pictures are absolutely beautiful and we could not be more thankful. Thank you Rachael!

Rachael was OUTSTANDING for our wedding and rehearsal dinner! She was so easy to get along with, pleasant, calm and engaged. Rachael was completely aware of all groups of people and activities going on in order to catch every person and activity... even one of our friends performing a backflip on the dance floor! We feel like Rachael became a part of the family as she blended in and understood our wants and desires. We are grateful for Rachael Hall!

I got married last October and had to go through the general torture of trying to find vendors and get them all lined up. I will be honest photography wasn't something that was particularly important to me. I spoke with a few photographers but was really just looking for a good price. Luckily, I wound up going with Rachel, because not only did I get good value, I got quality I loved (without even knowing how important it would be later). I wound up going with her package that did day of photography and an engagement session. Rachel travelled in to San Antonio from Austin for both and worked with us on the engagement session so I wouldn't have to miss too much work. We got some great pictures (with no help from me who is terrible at taking photos). My husband and I both felt comfortable with her which was a great bonus. Then came the wedding and all I can say is that she was everywhere--in the best way possible of course. My father at one point actually said "You're going to get some good pictures because your photographer's was everywhere." And he was right, we got some great photos. I can tell that she really tried to get some of everyone but also made sure to focus on where the main action is. We were very happy with using Rachel and I would do it again in a heartbeat. In fact, I recommend her to anyone I heard getting married in San Antonio. As an added bonus, my friend who was getting married at the same time also used her and loved her as well. Long story short, Rachel is awesome and I'm glad I went with her.

I am crazy about Rachael. She was a doll throughout the wedding planning and on our wedding day. Can't rave enough about her!

My review is long because I wanted people to really know in detail how INCREDIBLE Rachael is and how BREATHTAKING her photography is. However, if you want the abbreviated version here it is: Gorgeous Photos, Best Decision We Made, Professional, Fun, and Vibrant. You will be so happy to have her on your side on your big day! Now for the long version (I found detailed reviews helpful when planning): I found Rachael through my wedding planner. She sent me a list of probably 20 photographers in the San Antonio/Austin area. The second I saw Rachael's Website I knew she was who I wanted to document our special day. Lucky for me she was available and we locked her in. Within the first week of booking, Rachael called me so that we could get to know one another better. She is warm, funny, and dedicated to making sure you get everything you want out of your wedding day photography. She made it known that she wants to document WHAT WE WANTED! With a large wedding, it is easy to get lost in the crowd, she made it clear that she was in it to give us the pictures we wanted. She was thorough in documenting names of family members, important guests and friends, and any special photos we wanted. She also made sure to get to know everyone by name (parents, grandparents,bridesmaids, etc.) I live out of the state so for me most of our communication was over phone or email. However on the day of my bridal shoot I felt like Rachael and I had known one another forever. She has a zen like quality about her that makes every obstacle or challenge (we had a some trouble with the venue and it was like 100 degrees) seem like nothing. Plus she is INCREDIBLY talented. A person can be the sweetest person ever (which Rachael is), but at the end of the day you want someone who takes fantastic pictures. THAT IS RACHAEL. I loved every single one of my bridal pictures, and ended up picking not one but two to display at the wedding (if I could have showcased all of them I would have). I am not exaggerating when I say that at least 25 people told me they should be in a magazine. They were not just telling me that because they loved me. The photos really were that incredible and they take my breath away! On our wedding day, I couldn't wait for Josh to meet Rachael. My fiance is the best judge of character I know, and I am mean this earnestly when I say he was blown away with Rachael too. He loved her just as much as I do. He does not really like to have his picture taken, and she made him feel at ease. She listened to us when we said we were too hot (again 100 degrees) or when we needed anything. She was also diligent in getting the photos we needed including all of the special people in our lives. I honestly could write a novel on how fantastic Rachael is as a person, but not only that on her talent. If you haven't checked out her website, you need to. Her Photography speaks for itself. It is timeless but fun, gorgeous, with great attention to every detail. She was one (if not the) best decision we could have made. Your wedding photos will be the way you relive your wedding day for the rest of your life, and I knew they were a top priority for us. We could not be happier with how everything turned out! My husband and I couldn't be happier with our engagement and wedding photos. Rachael was a pleasure to work with and always made us feel comfortable and at ease (neither of us are fans of getting our photo taken). She's prompt in her correspondence and has a great personality filled with southern charm.

Absolutely loved loved LOVED working with Rachael. My sister recommended her after having worked with her for senior portraits a few years back and it was an awesome decision. From our first phone meeting, Rachael was so personable and I knew she would capture our day exactly as I wanted. She had high energy and knew how to work quickly to get us into the reception while still capturing sweet moments. She was constantly moving around the reception to get snapshots of people and it was great. The pictures are wonderful and I can't wait to display them in our home!

Rachael went above and beyond my expectations for my wedding day pictures. They came out great and everybody has enjoyed looking through all of them! I would recommend her to ANYBODY wanting good quality wedding photos! Because in the end, that all you have to show for your wedding day. Totally worth the money!

Rachael Hall is such an amazing photographer! My husband and I would highly recommend her to shoot your photos for any occasion. Rachael took our engagement pictures, my bridal pictures, and covered all of our wedding day festivities. We could not have asked for a better experience! Rachel has a way of making you feel comfortable in front of the camera. She captures beautiful candid pictures of you in your natural element. Rachel is so fun and her positive attitude encourages you to let loose and have a good time. The weather was very overcast and windy on the day of our engagement pictures so we were a little worried about how the photos would turn out but Rachael encouraged us to have fun with it and the pictures turned out great; we had such a hard time choosing a few for the save the dates! Rachel does a great job using lighting and doing a mix of creative and formal pictures. She also works very quickly and is very organized. Our wedding was in October so the weather was still pretty warm; Rachel moved quickly to allow us to be in the AC as much as possible and the photos turned out so perfect. The pictures were returned to us very quickly and were also uploaded to a secure online viewing gallery so we could share with all of our friends and family. My husband and I are so happy we found Rachel Hall Photography... she definitely exceeded all of our expectations!!

We just got married a week ago. We could not have had a better photographer than Rachael. We already got a link to our wedding gallery and the pictures are amazing . She took the best photos and captured the wedding day events wonderfully. The quality of the pictures are great. All our family and friends said that she did a great job. Working with Rachael was a pleasure and we are so happy we choose her to be our photographer. We highly recommend her to anybody looking for wedding photographer. Rachael was referred to us by our wedding planner after my wife's bridal pictures turned out awful. Rachael offered to do our wedding 1 week prior to and we met her just 5 days before. From the beginning she was a life saver and showed us her portfolio and her pictures looked awesome. Rachael did such an amazing job in short amount of time that she had. I can't believe it's taken me this long to write a review. I found Rachael Hall Photography after seeing photos from the same venue where my (now) husband and I were to be married in May of 2013. I immediately fell in love with the style and quality. Rachael was so quick to respond to my inquiry and pleasant to speak with. We met at 2tarts bakery in New Braunfels to talk about the wedding and vision and details. Not only is this woman amazing at what she does, she's so fun to talk to and we left the meeting confident that she would be our photographer for the best day of our lives. The day of the wedding she arrived to the venue before anyone else did and was ready to go. Rachael and her team were hard at work and I didn't even know it as I sipped my champagne and got ready. She stayed so calm and patient even though my hair was taking longer than expected! From getting ready, to the ceremony, to the exit... everything was perfect. After the wedding, we promptly received the photos in a gorgeous case and USB. They are incredible! Everyone always says your wedding day goes by so fast that you hardly even remember it. That's true, I blinked and it was over but I know we never have to worry about remembering because we have the most irreplaceable photos from Rachael that will remind us of our wedding day for the rest of our lives. Thank you, Rachael. For capturing every special moment of our big day...and for introducing me to the best eclairs I've ever had!

I found Rachael by looking at her portfolio on this site & reading her wonderful blog posts. I instantly loved how she told the story of the day with her pictures! It doesn't hurt that every single picture on her blog is beautiful - I still have yet to see a bad picture from her!! We met with Rachael to see if she was a fit for us & we were both so impressed how organized & on top of everything she was. Plus, she is super friendly! Rachael answered all of our questions & was always very responsive in the days leading up to the wedding. Going into the wedding, I had no worries that were were in good hands with Rachael & her team! Working with Rachael & her team on the wedding was wonderful - They made us feel at ease during the formal pictures & worked quickly so that we could enjoy our day. They also took tons of candid shots to capture all those little moments. We received our "sneak peak" pictures while we were still on our honeymoon & a link to our online gallery a couple of weeks later. Rachael also sent us a zip drive (with a cute cover - bonus!) with all of the pictures less than 3 weeks after the wedding. There were over 800 & I love them all!! THEN, she posted a lovely blog with that is perfect for sharing with our friends & family who might not want to see every single picture :) I would definitely recommend Rachael to anyone getting married! My daughter was ADAMANT that she wanted Rachael as her photographer, because her work on the website told a story of the complete wedding. Rachael was not inexpensive, but I went with my daughter's wishes. WOW! What awesome pictures!! I have never seen the wedding couple look more perfect. Some of the pictures are just fabulous! Rachael has a good eye for setting up a shot, and has a lot of attention to detail. AND, she and her two assistants were all extremely nice people! A joy to work with her. Highly recommended.

I was in love with everything Rachael and her crew did for photography. They caught so many special moments without being intrusive at all! I was so happy with the results! Rachael was a pleasure to work with and so down to earth. She was capable of directing a large number of people and capturing everything I could have wanted from my wedding and more. Rachael took photos for both our engagement session and wedding. Our engagement photos turned out wonderfully - we had a very difficult time narrowing down our favorite 50 photos. Our wedding photos also looked great - there were a lot of candid shots, and everything turned out very natural.

After just a week and a half after the wedding, we were sent a link to view our photos in an online gallery. I shared them with friends and family who were surprised by how quickly our photographer turned our photos around to us. And not only was it quick, but the photos turned out BEAUTIFULLY. However, I couldn't expect anything less from the dynamic duo that were our photographers: Rachael and Krissy. Going through the photos with my husband, we had no idea some of the moments that were captured actually happened because the day went by so quickly. And for a bride like myself who planned her entire wedding and often found herself focusing more on the timeline than the love and support that was all around her, it was a priceless gift to be able to relive that beautiful day in photos that will last a lifetime. We received a GORGEOUS case in the mail that contained all of our digital photos on a USB drive just two weeks after the wedding (only days after being able to view them online!). We had over 700 photos on that USB! And you can bet each one of them was perfectly shot and beautifully edited to bring out the very best of the photo. My friends who've gotten married before me have seen the photos and admitted that they wished they had gone with Rachael for their own wedding photos! Needless to say, I am an exceptionally happy bride! Since the very first email exchanged between me and Rachael, I knew that she was the photographer for me. She answered every question I had with patience and every request with a smile. After I met her for the first time with my husband, we hit it off right away. She reassured me that she would compliment my Type-A personality perfectly. My husband even told me as we drove away from the meeting that he was relieved that we had a photographer who could meet my high expectations! Out of every vendor we chose for our wedding day (and let me say, all of them were amazing), I was the most impressed with Rachael as our photographer. Rachael was, hands-down, my favorite part of our Big Day. I would recommend her to any bride that is ready to make the best investment for her wedding that will actually matter. At the end of the day, after we've walked down the aisle as husband and wife, tossed my bouquet, ate our delicious cupcakes, and toasted with the finest champagne, nothing is more lasting and memorable about that day than a picture that speaks a thousand words. Well, 700+ pictures, to be exact.

Rachael and her assistant were amazing! They captured all the little details of our special day in a very organic way. My husband and I were separated for a year due to military service prior to our wedding. Rachael brilliantly captured all the emotions we were feeling at our engagement and wedding sessions. She was very easygoing and just let us be "us"! Looking at the photos brings us right back to that time of excitement and anticipation. Rachael is an awesome photographer to work with for your big day! She is always in contact and very fast at getting your photos back to you. She treats you more like a friend than a client. We knew she was the one for us the day we met her because she actually took the time to get to know us. I used her for our engagements, my bridals and our wedding and was pleased with all of the pics! She sent me the sneak peeks the day after the wedding and had our wedding CD to us within 3 weeks! When we were looking for a photographer for our wedding, we chose Rachael because her pictures were amazing and she was affordable compared to other photographers of her quality. We took engagements, my bridals, and had her photograph our wedding/reception and were pleased with how all of them turned out. She is so nice and easy to work with. Overall our experience with Rachael was great, the only thing that could have made it better was her providing us with a little more direction.

The second I saw her gallery I knew she was good. She also was willing to work last minute with me for a very reasonable price. My entire family was so impressed with the quality of the photos. I love them! Wouldn't have chosen anyone else!

Rachael has been just amazing from the start! She was quick and responsive and cares about her clients. We had a great engagement session where she went more than above and beyond! We can't wait for our wedding, Rachael feels more like a friend then just a photographer! Update! So the wedding was amazing and Rachael's sneak peaks are up the day after and I can't believe I'm the one in the pictures!! I was amazed by Rachael's pictures when I saw them online. I thought, "Wow I could never have pictures that amazing, I bet this girl is so expensive". However, when I met with Rachael I found out she is an amazing person, photographer and is not expensive. Rachael made my husband and I feel at ease during our entire wedding. She worked well with my wedding planner and all of my vendors. She took some truly amazing pictures that we will treasure forever. She took all the pictures that I asked her to and some creative and gorgeous pictures I would have never thought of! I would recommended Rachael to anyone! She was wonderful and nice and a creative and talented photographer

i had such an excitement when i first met rachael: she has such a great heart, a smokin' accent, amazing talent and is just sooo genuine!!! she was great at communicating at all the right times throughout the wedding planning process, it was never overwhelming. on the day of the wedding, she was ready to go and on top of things. she made me, my husband, and everybody in the wedding party feel comfortable and relaxed. we had a lot of fun having her and her assistant photograph our wedding. i walked away just wishing we had more time with her (because we did run out of time - but she did a great job of making every shot count!) we were so pleased with the photos that came back - i would love to use her for any special event in life. i highly recommend using rachael for your wedding!!!

I couldn't have asked or gotten a better photographer! Perfect eye! Every picture captured our wedding perfectly! The pictures captured the emotion, the beauty, the love, and the creativity of the wedding! The photos are priceless and look like they should be in a magazine! I'm so blessed to have had an amazing photographer!

Rachael and an additional photographer took all of our pictures the day of our wedding. We chose not to do engagement photos and I chose not to do bridal portraits - not because of cost (her prices are very reasonable, actually much cheaper than other area photographers that I'd researched), but because we/I didn't feel that they were a necessity. She met with us several months prior to our wedding to kind of get a feel for what we'd like the day of, particularly if there were any special/specific photos that we'd like, as well as to kind of get to know us a little bit. She and the other photographer arrived promptly at the church an hour before the ceremony started; she was ready to go before we were! :) And then she stuck it out with us until the end of the reception... We were behind schedule from the get go and she was very good at moving things/people along without being pushy or rude. She was very professional yet totally fun. Neither my husband or I are very photogenic, but for once we both look awesome in our wedding photos - I'd say 90% of them. Of course there are a few where we have goofy looks of our faces, but that's our fault for not paying attention to the fact that our picture was being taken. Overall, Rachael did a fantastic job and I highly recommend her. I look forward to having her photograph us again if/when we do any other special pictures.

I enjoyed Rachael's creativity, on the actual day your so busy and thinking of so many other things it was nice to have her coming up with ideas but still listening to what you had in mind as well. Her assistant was wonderful as well! She took the groom and groomsmen to a historic bar around the corner from the church and took their photos there! It was so my husbands style without even telling them!!
