About this vendor
I like to bring a unique view to each wedding I photograph. Those special moments on your wedding day only happen once, I would love the opportunity to be the one to capture them. Helping you to create a visual memory of all of the little things you may have forgotten about 50 years down the road... the sweet face of the flower girl as she walked down the isle throwing flowers... the tears running down your parent's faces during the ceremony... the look on your faces the first time you were announced as Mr and Mrs... all of the details at the ceremony... and all of the fun and memorable dance shots! During this very special time of your life it is important to find a photographer you trust can capture your whole wedding vision.

We hired Rachel as our photographer for our wedding at Newport Harbor Island Resort in October 2025 and it was one of the best decisions we made! Ever since the first time we spoke...
to her on FaceTime, she really just got us as a couple and wanted to understand what was important to us on the big day. She is a joy to be around and she also has so much experience in the wedding industry and was able to help us with referrals for vendors, timelines, and any other questions that came up through out the process. When the wedding day finally came, we were able to truly soak in every moment as we knew we were in great hands! Rachel made sure to capture all the candid moments and make us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. We love all of our photos so much and she captured every detail of day from getting ready, first look, ceremony and reception so perfectly! We are forever grateful for the beautiful memories and can’t wait to have Rachel capture all the big moments in our lives as we look the future!
We had such an amazing experience working with Rachel! She was thorough in explaining details, answering questions, and communicating throughout the entire process. During our enga...
gement shoot, she made us feel so comfortable. Her bright and easy-going personality made it feel like we had known each other for so long even though it was our first time meeting in person. On our wedding day, she had the perfect balance of making sure every moment was captured while also staying behind the scenes. Our photo galleries came out more beautiful than we could have hoped l. We are so grateful for the part she played in making our wedding day so flawless and celebratory. Rachel captures and creates beautiful work AND she is so fun to work with. We are so thankful to have found her!
Trusting Rachel with our wedding photography was one of, if not the best decision we made for our wedding. Considering we had the perfect day, that’s says a lot. We truly could not...
have had our day go as smooth as it did without Rachel. She is extremely easy to work with, incredibly organized, very professional, friendly, and accommodating, among many other great qualities. Rachel helped establish a wedding timeline so we could capture all of the photographs we wanted. The engagement shoot was a perfect practice run for the wedding so we knew what worked best the day of, we highly highly recommend doing this. This allowed Rachel to be extremely efficient on the wedding day. She didn’t waste anytime and knew how to direct our wedding party of 18 plus us. That’s right, Rachel directed 20 of us flawlessly. You’d think she’s been doing this for 30 years, I’m not kidding. She captured our perfect day so well this review won’t do it justice. Her website truly reflects the quality she delivers.
She knew exactly what to do to create the most amazing photographs and truly capture us. Coming from someone who doesn’t have a sliver of artistic knowledge, I didn’t know you could capture a couple’s love for one another in a picture. I don’t remember every second of our day, but looking at our photographs, I could see exactly what I was feeling in the moment she captured and I could feel it again. It was surreal to see that and experience that the first time. There will be so many spur of the moment organic moments that won’t be directed, Rachel is so quick, she will capture those for unforgettable moments that will be documented for a lifetime.
Most photographers will take pictures you will use to look back on your special day, like Facebook memories. Rachel will capture your special day and make you relive it with all the emotion. Put your trust in Rachel so you can relive it instead of just looking back on it. Lastly, I promise you even with how nice and professional she is in calls and emails, it’s nothing compared to her positive and friendly personality that you’ll see when you meet her. She made it incredibly fun to be professionally photographed - written by two introverted engineers, one not so photogenic husband that can’t stop looking at wedding pictures, and his beautiful newly wed wife.
My husband and I cannot speak highly enough about Rachel as a photographer! From our first meeting to the last pictures she took, the whole process was seamless and meticulously pl...
anned. Rachel took the time to get to know us as a couple through multiple calls, a survey, and discussion about our vision. She made sure to familiarize herself with our venue and integrated all of that into our vision for the day and the photographs.
We had an amazing engagement shoot with her which allowed us to get to know her and her style. Rachel has a way of making you feel relaxed and like yourself even if you are more nervous in front of the camera. She was organized and professional but had fun along with us during the shoot. Our friends and family were so excited to see the photos and it made us even more excited for our big day!
The day of the wedding Rachel and her assistant Nicole were timely and prepared with everything that they could need. They were a calming presence when the timeline fell a bit behind schedule and never made us feel rushed or stressed. Rachel’s attention to detail was evident in the way that she set up shots, read our cues, and communicated with us in the moment. Everything from the smallest details to the group photos were well planned and organized. She was kind to all of our friends and family as well as all of the event staff. She made sure to get all of the group and family photographs that we discussed within our outlined timeline. She went the extra mile to get beautiful shots throughout the entire day from start to finish. When we could not do sunset photographs due to rain, she suggested that my husband and I take photos in the rain. Those pictures turned out to be some of our favorites!
Our wedding album is everything that we could have wanted and more. Rachel’s style is soft and natural, and perfectly tied in with the beautiful scenery of the venue. We love the mixture of formal couples portraits with more natural moments and looks. Looking through the album is like reliving the day, she truly captured the emotions and memories perfectly.
We would recommend Rachel Girouard Photography to anyone who needs a wedding photographer. You will be blown away by the quality of her work, her professionalism, and her uncanny ability to capture your day and all of its special moments!

Her photos are stunning! They are light, airy and beautiful. She captures the candid moments, tiny details and everything in between. I was especially impressed that I was able to share a vision with her and she brought it to life, while also recommending photos she thought would capture the moment.
She is timely in returning photos and always shares a preview, which gets you so excited to see the final products. She captured SO many photos for each shoot and I felt like there wasn’t a moment missed. Also - Rachel is incredibly kind and takes the time to get to know you so your special day is nothing but comfortable!

ow I made the right choice going with Rachel! Our wedding photos came out absolutely beautiful! Her turnaround time was fast, her photo skills are excellent, and I truly love her photography style being ‘light’ and ‘airy.’ We got married in Newport so this was the exact style I was looking for. She makes you feel so comfortable in front of the camera, which my husband and I both were nervous about before our engagement photos (but even those came out stunning) so we had no fear for the wedding. Also, she gets shit done! For family portraits (we have a big family and people were missing) she made sure people were there. It also rained on our day and she had cute clear umbrellas for us to use. I 10/10 recommend Rachel not only for your wedding, but for any photography needs you may have!

ding , it poured. We had to move everything inside where I’m sure the lighting was not optimal by any means. Rachel’s team was organized, efficient and moved quickly to ensure we got to spend the most time with our guests , which was the most important part to us. During the ceremony and reception, I barley even knew they were there and they captured the most beautiful pictures . They exceeded my expectations and the pictures are FLAWLESS. I am so grateful I had them and I would recommend them to anyone in the area.

ade the day so stress-free. She was incredibly patient with me and my bridal party (wrangling 9 girls is not an easy task). She did it with such grace and calmness. Our second photographer, Nicole, was such a delight. She made my husband and groomsmen feel so comfortable, and trust me, they are not the picture taking type. They helped make our reception an absolute dream. They caught all the photos on our list, and then some. Rachel caught so many special moments. She is a true magician behind the camera. We received a preview of our photos and they are absolutely incredible! We can't wait for the rest! You will not regret hiring Rachel for your big day!!
I can’t even put into words how amazing Rachel and her team were. We got married June 2023 and it was simply the best day in every single way. Rachel’s team showed up early, ready ...
to go. They got all of our people into position and where they needed to be. They made last minute decisions based on the weather and where pictures would be best. Though it rained a bit here and there, they made the most of it. Rachel helped to calm me down (a stressed out bride) and made time slow so I could truly be in the moment and enjoy the photos. She had a list of pictures I requested beforehand and when time was running out as it usually does, she consulted me about the remaining pictures combinations we hadn’t gotten to and we made a plan to make sure all of the photos were captured in one way or another. Rachel’s team was phenomenal during the ceremony and reception. Her associate, Nicole, stayed late to capture a lot of the reception dancing and we are so happy to have had her there. Not only is Rachel an incredible and talented photographer, she is also such a genuine, sweet, and caring person. We are so lucky to have been able to have Rachel and her team at our wedding! I can’t recommend them enough!

ad the opportunity to meet her, and it was like I was meeting a celebrity for the first time. I had followed her for so long, and never in a million years did I think I would meet her, never mind have her shoot my wedding.
Rachel’s photos are absolutely stunning. Of course, that is what you hire a wedding photographer for, but Rachel is so much more than that. She brings a sense of comfort, calm, and organization to what can be such a hectic day.
Being someone who has never loved being in front of the camera, pictures on my wedding day scared me. I had only spoken to Rachel a few times before my wedding, but on the day, I felt like we had been friends for years. I was so comfortable around her with her camera. I truly mean this in a positive light when I say it was almost as though her camera wasn’t there. Once we got the formalities out of the way, I felt like I never saw her again, yet she captured every moment I could hope for. She has an amazing ability to be everywhere at once but never take you out of the present moment.
Only the photos she delivered can describe Rachel and her team’s ability to capture our wedding. I love every single one. To say thank you is not enough for what Rachel has done. She has far exceeded my expectations, and I can’t wait to continue to have Rachel capture all the important moments ahead.

Where do we begin? Rachel, and her second photographer Nicole, were some of the nicest people we have met. When we were researching photographers, Rachels work instantly stood out ...
to us. It was light, airy, and showed the happiness and love that we know would be at each wedding. We booked Rachel back in 2020, and she made the planning process as easy as possible for us, always willing to answer any random question we had!
Day of, Rachel and Nicole were a ray of sunshine. We all had some pre-wedding jitters, and they were both so easy and comfortable to work with. They worked with the wedding party on the poses, worked with the venue on everything so we did not have to worry, and made sure to capture those extra little moments. With the photos we have seen so far (we got married 6/4/22), we know that every single moment captured is going to be amazing!
Rachel was, by far, the best decision we made for our wedding day. We learned of her through our venue and instantly fell in love with her style of photography – fresh, clean, nat...
ural, ethereal, timeless. From our first call, Rachel explained her process, answered all of our questions, and provided a proposed timeline for the day of, which was a huge help when coordinating with our venue and other vendors for planning and scheduling. We truly could not recommend Rachel enough. She is so supportive, kind, and personable. On top of that, she is incredibly prompt, which is so important when dealing with timely wedding planning decisions and general wedding planning stresses. After every interaction with Rachel, a wave of calm came over us; she just gets it and has that effect on people. She uses simple cues to guide poses, which come out fantastic – from the not-so-posed posed shots, to the candids, and everything in between. While all the wedding day details are super important, the day does go by in a flash, and the images that are captured will last a lifetime. It was so important to us to not only have beautiful wedding images, but to connect with our photographer as well. We feel that we’ve been able to do that tenfold with Rachel. We raved about her throughout our entire wedding planning process and everyone could see why – from our engagement shoot photos to meeting her on the wedding day and seeing the gorgeous preview photos she’s shared. We are so lucky to have crossed paths and now have a photographer (and friend) for life!
Rachel Girouard Photography was the best decision we ever made with our vendors. From the moment we met her she felt like an old friend we knew forever. She is so kind and friendly...
, we just felt so comfortable with her which was important to us because we didn’t want to be awkward in front of the camera and our wedding photos meant so much to us. We would also be spending most of our wedding day with her and wanted someone we felt comfortable with. We had other meetings with other photographers lined up but after our meeting with Rachel we canceled those other meetings and knew we wanted her to be our photographer. Rachel communicated very well via email and she was even there for me when I was freaking out and didn’t know what to do throughout my wedding planning process. She hopped on the phone with me and gave great advice and always made me feel better. She really did become our friend leading up to the wedding and after. Rachel also did our engagement session and guided us through all the poses. She made us feel so comfortable and we had so much fun with her. Even though it was foggy and a little rainy that day she still took beautiful photos and literally had our album ready the next day! Leading up to the wedding she helped me with the day of wedding timeline which was very helpful to keep everything moving smoothly. Rachel has such a calming presence to her and took such beautiful photos on our wedding day. We received them in a timely manner as promised. She also helped us make a wedding album which was also delivered in a timely manner and was beautiful. We will forever treasure these photos and hope to work with Rachel again in the future! We highly recommend Rachel Girouard Photography! You will not regret it!

the wedding planning. We had such a fun time meeting in person for our engagement session and then at our TWO weddings (thanks to the pandemic). She was so helpful in figuring out even the timeline of our wedding day and helping us to figure out which pictures would be important to capture. She was so patient and kind, but also made sure we received truly amazing photos. She was also flexible in helping us to figure out how much time we needed for our mini-wedding in 2020 and our big wedding in 2021. We love all of our photos, its hard to pick a favorite! Thank you Rachel for all you have done to capture our wedding in such a beautiful way!

ful images. She was such a joy to work with through all the chaos that Covid caused. She really made things easy for us and our day with her felt calm and seamless. Throughout our wedding planning process she was also super thoughtful and would check in unexpectedly from time to time with sweet notes, gifts or cards. Rachel is truly such a kind person and we look forward to working with her for our future photography needs! I promise you will LOVE her and the magic she creates. If bright and airy is your vibe - book her!
I was originally drawn to Rachel because of her beautiful portfolio, but the deal was sealed when we met for coffee and my husband and I had the chance to get to know her. When we ...
were looking for a wedding photographer there was one thing that was especially important to us (other than taking beautiful photos!) - we wanted a photographer who we felt comfortable with. Someone who we would enjoy having around on the most important day of our lives, during getting ready photos with our wedding party, first looks, exchanging vows, first dances. Rachel captured all of these intimate moments and more with the most stunning photos and her sweet, calming presence made our day go so smoothly.
Rachel is a true professional. Not only is she a talented photographer and a pleasure to work with, but she kept us on track all day and night with the detailed timeline she put together in advance of our wedding day. Her and her second shooter Nicole put all of our friends and family at ease in front of the camera, and beautifully captured the love and happiness we were all feeling that day.
We would recommend Rachel to anyone & everyone!
Cannot recommend Rachel enough! From engagement photos and fall mini shoot to our wedding day, she was such a joy! She captured every emotion throughout our wedding day.

e photographer for our wedding. We had already postponed 3 times due to the pandemic, but bringing Rachel on board changed everything for us. Talking to her was enjoyable and she made us begin to enjoy wedding planning again. She was flexible, kind, and was exactly the person we needed at such a difficult time. On the big day, she was organized and prompt and made our entire day flow smoothly. I didn't realize how important a photographer is when it comes to your wedding. They essentially control the entire day, so you want to make sure you're working with a true professional. Rachel was able to get every single photo we wanted taken, had everyone together, and was done before we were scheduled to be. This meant that we could go and enjoy our wedding! Rachel's second shooter, Nicole was phenomenal as well. Both were so kind and flexible and really made it a fun experience. Fast forward to our photos, let me just say they are beyond stunning. I look through our album multiple times a week since March. They were exactly what we wanted. We had all of our formal photos, family group photos, and candids from the day. There were black and whites too (which are my favorite!). So so many of our guests, kept asking about Rachel. Many had said that they wished they had her when their son/daughter/sister/brothers were married. They could not believe how organized, timely, professional, and fun she was. Her photos were so amazing, I didn't regret not booking a videographer. Our photos are something we will cherish for the rest of our lives, and all of that is because of Rachel. We cannot thank her enough. She turned the start of really stressful wedding planning, into something enjoyable and fun. If you are looking for a photographer, look no further. Rachel is what many young up and coming photographers should aspire to be like, a true professional.

ultiple times due to Covid. She handled the challenges of her job during covid with absolute strength and grace. She treated us with so much respect and pure kindness during that time. Her patience, understanding, and thoughtfulness every step of the way truly demonstrated that she deeply cares about her clients and whole heartedly loves her job. Her work ethic is incredible- we had two engagement sessions done with her prior to our wedding and received our photos well before we would have ever expected to receive them. Not to mention, the photos were PERFECT. Her work is stunning- if you love light, airy and natural photos, Rachel is your gal. The warmth you feel looking at her photos is exactly the warmth you will feel when working with her. On our wedding day, she was calm, organized, and timely. She was met with the task of getting all of our photos completed before it down poured for the rest of the evening- and she did just that. She managed to keep our photos moving right along, and we finished RIGHT before it stormed for the rest of the evening. She even brought umbrellas for us just in case we needed them. Rachel truly impressed us every step of the way, and we whole heartedly mean it when we say we recommend her to anyone and everyone. We have a lifelong beautiful friend and photographer, and we can’t wait to work with her again in the future. Thank you, Rachel! We love you!

We had the best experience with Rachel and I feel so fortunate that I came across her in my search for a photographer! She photographed heirloom items, our ceremony and reception....
After we chose her, she left a lovely card and custom cookies in our mailbox. I explained that we weren’t the typical bride/groom and really just wanted to have a party, where we happen to get married. She was communicative and clear without being pushy or overbearing. On the actual day, she was on time, professional, kind, and everyone commented how nice it was to not have a photographer who rushed us. She captured so many perfect moments, and she’s amazing at getting those candid photos-which is what I really wanted. I can't imagine anyone else doing a better job! In the event we ever need formal photos again, she is the only one I would trust.

d due to COVID restrictions. We ended up changing our venue and rescheduled for September. Rachel was very flexible with these changes and responsive to all of our calls and emails (even with a new baby!). She is great at giving direction and posing, which not only makes for great pictures but is so important for making sure the process moves along smoothly and we stick to our timeline of events! We received our wedding pictures in less than 6 weeks and she even walked us through the process of ordering prints. We are so happy with how our pictures came out! I would highly recommend Rachel to anyone!

d answered all of the questions we had, starting from what to wear to our engagement shoot. She made taking photos the day of our wedding so much fun, and frankly it was one of my favorite parts of the day. She was able to deliver our pictures to us in less than 8 weeks (even during the craziness of holiday season) and we have been THRILLED with the pictures. They are absolutely beautiful. We couldn't have asked for a better photographer for our day, and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a wedding photographer.
What an amazing experiencing it was working with Rachel on our wedding day!!! Rachel made the whole wedding experiencing so enjoyable, stress free, and fun! From first getting to m...
eet her with a cup of coffee, she felt like an instant friend! She is in close contact with you up until the wedding day, making sure all the details are in order for a stress free day! On our wedding day, she knows how to keep things moving, make everyone feel comfortable, and is very creative! Rachel is one of the main reasons our wedding day went so flawlessly! Rachel provides little sneak peaks up until her preview album is released, which provided us with 150+ amazing pictures only 2 weeks after the wedding! 6 weeks later, we got spoiled with over 1500 pictures in total from our wedding, every single picture just absolutely perfect! I feel so thankful we found Rachel to capture the BEST day of our lives, we cannot thank her enough for her incredible work and new friendship!

ove photography so we were really picky with our pictures and probably sent Rachel a million emails with questions. She was so good with responding and answering all our questions and putting our minds at ease. She took both our stunning engagement and wedding photos. We were both so nervous and had no idea what to expect being in front of the camera, but Rachel guided us through the process and told us exactly what to do and made the entire process so much fun!
For our wedding day, she created a timeline for us ensuring that we had enough time to capture each of our photos, which ended up being spot on, on the big day! In addition, she had a list with her of all the pictures we wanted to capture that she used as her guide to verify no photos were missed. We were really impressed by her professionalism. She even made sure we stayed hydrated during our photo session. We received several compliments from our guests on how both Rachel and her second shooter, Lilly, handled our pictures as we asked her to take several large group photos. She’s really good in capturing individual shots as well as large groups, including all of our wedding guests in one photo!! She’s also really great in capturing candid shots for those special treasured moments. After reviewing all our photos, I was so surprised that she was able to capture the 2 second moment of me showing off my wedding ring to my husband, or the moment of me laughing and my mother in tears.
Working with Rachel was a great pleasure, she constantly kept us updated on the process of our photos and is full of surprises along the way. I would tell you what they were, but I don’t want to spoil the surprise 😉 Guess you will have to find out yourself. I suggest you start off by viewing her beautiful work on her Instagram account and shoot her email. In a few days, you might find yourself having coffee with her, discussing your photo contract, and then months later after your wedding still keeping in touch talking about your honeymoon 😊 Thank you Rachel, we are so happy that we chose you to be part of our special day!
Rachel and her second shooter, Maddie, were both outstanding. They both played such an integral role in ensuring that our day ran smoothly. From the beginning, I knew we were lucky...
to have found Rachel. She was so organized and easy to contact and it felt more as if working with a friend than a vendor. She made us feel like she was photographing her own friends and family rather than a client and we are so grateful to have had her as a part of our day!
Rachel helped to make our day run flawlessly! We loved our engagement photos and can’t wait to see our wedding photos!

. I have used Rachel for my family photos and business needs time and time again and she has never disappointed.
Her personality is warm, bubbly and super sweet. She’s fast with sending galleries and has been nothing but amazing. The only regret I have is that I didn’t find her sooner when I was getting married.
I chose Rachel for my wedding photos and was blown away. She was very friendly and professional the whole day! Couldn’t have asked for anyone better!
