l Lahlum.  Hiring Rachel to be our engagement and wedding photographer was probably the single best decision we made in all of our wedding planning. We originally reached out to her because we fell in love with the examples of her work that we saw online. We really liked her clean, timeless style that blended creativity with classic. When we got our own engagement and wedding photos back, they were all that and more—we were truly blown away by how beautiful they were! Rachel’s camera brought out the best in us in every shot, whether she was capturing sweetly candid moments, posed bridal portraits, or chaotic family pictures. She is fantastic at helping you look your best in every photo and knows all the best photo locations around the Twin Cities (and frankly in the entire state of Minnesota).  It’s important to note that Rachel is uniquely spectacular not only for her incredible artistic talents, but also for how smoothly she handles literally every step of the wedding photography process. From the first time we reached out to her to the delivery of the final photo gallery, everything was seamless. She was communicative, thorough, thoughtful, and kind. She helped us think through the logistics of our wedding from our very first call and kept everything on time on the wedding day without making anyone feel stressed or hurried. She successfully bribed the two year old flower girl into taking her (purely decorative) band aids off for the ceremony without a single meltdown, complimented shy family members to make them feel comfortable and confident, and found the perfect location and pose for every photo. On top of all of that, she’s just a lovely person to be around! I truly cannot say enough good things about Rachel. Rachel is an absolute pro - I knew she always had my back to make me look my best in our photos between helping with hair and wardrobe adjustments. sionalism. She is not your “friend that takes photos.” She is methodical, knowledgeable, and organized, from the day we hired her through the day of the wedding. Rachel knows exactly the right angles, and was able to make us feel comfortable, even though we don’t take photos often. She was prompt in responding to our inquiries, and flexible with scheduling. In one of our first meetings, she provided us with a schedule of the weekend, and I ended up using her timeline to build out our entire wedding weekend. My family and friends were shocked how organized I was, but I kept telling them “It’s all Rachel.” Rachel is also great at corralling large groups of people – we met and discussed everything about our family and friends, so on the day of, she was able to get everyone together in an organized and efficient way. She was also very helpful with wedding traditions/photo locations/photo ideas. My friends and family loved the “table dash” which allowed us to take a photo with every table at the beginning of the reception and make sure everyone was in a photo. Finally, Rachel really went above and beyond. Much to my mom’s chagrin, it was Rachel and my personal attendant that bustled my dress after the ceremony, and Rachel that made sure we cut the cake, and Rachel that made sure that we were on or ahead of schedule the whole day. I would highly, highly recommend Rachel as both your photographer and a top-notch person to work with on your wedding day.

rking weddings made her an asset to not just the photos, but also the planning process. My husband was absolutely dreading taking photos, but knew we needed photos to remember our day. Rachel's kind and relaxed energy helped put both of us at ease. Additionally - knowing it was important to us to be a part of our celebration, and not spend too much time on posed photos, Rachel focused on efficiency in helping us get all the shots on our list while leaving plenty of time for fun and natural candids. I came for the gorgeous, natural photographer style - but I booked for everything else Rachel brings. So far we have a huge collection of incredible engagement and wedding "sneak peak" photos. I cannot wait to see what else Rachel was able to capture from our perfect day :)

Between her work and her warm personality along with her professionalism, Rachel made every step of the photography process a breeze. My partner and I were able to schedule an engagement photo session with Rachel which allowed us to get to know each other better before the wedding day and firm up the kinds of photos we wanted for the wedding day as well. Rachel’s experience and knowledge of our venue at Como Conservatory allowed for the perfect shots to be taken easily and left little for us to worry about. She’s well versed at making everyone smile from giggly little kids to shy grandparents and her ability to organize group photos is unparalleled. From posed photos to candid shots, she captured it all with ease. Rachel’s photos translate the happiness of our day into something tangible and permanent and we couldn’t be happier having her as part of the process. She’s professional, affordable, and a lovely person to share our special day with.

She assists in making a shot list to ensure you get all the photos you want. This was so nice as we were able to prioritize our photos. Day of was amazing! We had Rachel and Amanda capture every moment. Rachel arrived with a smile and got straight to work. I lost my mom a few years ago and had my matron of honor help with my dress. I wanted her to also be a part of the first look, so Rachel helped me with the final touches (putting my necklace on and helping with my shoes). THIS speaks to how amazing she is. She made sure I was taken care of every step of the way. Our entire wedding party had a blast due to how chill and approachable Rachel and Amanda were. They made jokes and gave great advice on poses. You can tell Rachel is a pro at this as she kept us on track throughout the day. Family photos were seamless, and she knew how and where to place everyone in a matter of seconds. She sets up her shot list to minimize the in and out of people. We also were able to capture everything we wanted. She snuck us out for incredible sunset photos, and she captured the moments of our guests that my husband and I were not a part of. Our day was amazing because of her. Her timeline assisted in so many aspects of our day and she was willing to work with our other vendors as well! Our sneak peeks had a minor hiccup as the email never came through, however Rachel was quick to reply and made sure we were satisfied as soon as I reached out. Our final photos were delivered within the timeline and are organized by event type, and we were even provided with other color options (black and white and modern tones). I had tears as she even snuck a photo of my memorial candle for my mom (which was just lit in the corner of our get ready room). This to me speaks to how much she pays attention to her clients and to the detail of their special day. THANK YOU RACHEL for everything!
