There are truly not enough words for Rachel. When we started looking for photographers for our engagement shoot and wedding, it felt near impossible to find a photographer during the pandemic that was both available, easy to communicate with and that fit our style. After several emails unreturned from other local photographers (and a handful of recommendations later), we came across Rachel, and I’m so grateful. As soon as I saw her work I knew she was the right photographer for us. We loved her style but most of all loved how she seemed to uniquely capture each of her couples so differently. Not only is Rachel incredibly talented and amazing to work with, she (and her husband Aaron) are so down to earth and kind. So much so that they offered to capture our wedding day on their own wedding anniversary (I mean, come on!) We were blown away when we saw our engagement photos and when I opened up our wedding photos I nearly cried. The memories she was able to capture are so beyond special to us. We could not have asked for a better photographer to work with and know I will cherish these photos forever. Thank you again so much Rachel, you truly are one of a kind!

I knew instantly when I saw Rachel’s work that she was the photographer for us. Her work is STUNNING and Rachel is so easy to work with. For me, Photography was one of my most important decisions and I can’t say enough about how much I loved working with Rachel. She helped us choose the perfect location for our engagement photos downtown Chicago and her sweet personality made us feel so comfortable during our session guiding us on how to pose. On top of her work being just so authentic and beautiful, she was so quick to send us our photo gallery. Rachel is AMAZING and so great to work with! She made the experience so comfortable, easy and fun. Rachel and Aaron were amazing! We cannot say enough good things about them! They were very professional and made us feel so special the whole day. Rachel was great to work with from start to finish! She was super friendly, easy to work with, and got our photos back to us quickly. Where do I even been! One word to describe Rachel is AMAZING! Her photographs are just stunning and on top of all of it she is so down to earth and really just makes you feel so comfortable! She shot our engagement and wedding photos and I couldn’t of been happier with every single picture she took! I was so excited to get our wedding photos back because she did so great on our engagement photos. When looking through them all she was able to capture everything from every angle and even the small details it was like reliving the day all over and we are grateful for her talent and will cherish these memories she created for us forever!

After doing our engagement shoot with Rachel, I knew I wanted to use her for our wedding day right away. Her style of photography was enough to win me over, so when we met her and started planning with her, I was blown away that her amazing photography matches her amazing personality. When we received the link to our wedding gallery, I literally cried. I (like most people) am the harshest critic of myself -- especially in photos. So to look at 1000+ photos of myself and fall in love with each and every one was truly a blessing -- ESPECIALLY after being tagged in 50 dreadful social media posts from Aunt Sarah. Needless to say Rachel (and her husband Aaron) didn't feel like vendors at our wedding, they felt like guests. They made us both so comfortable and were able to capture the most beautiful day in the most beautiful way. EVERY single picture Rachel shared with us was stunning, but her real talent (in my opinion) is capturing you in the moment, which is exactly what I wanted. Of course we will treasure the posed pictures with our family and friends for years to come, it's the reactions of the audience as you're walking down the aisle and the teary look in your eye when you're about to step in to your dress for the first time and the nervous smile of your groom tying his tie for the 12th time to make sure it really is perfect. THOSE are the moments Rachel captured, which has me obsessing over each and every picture. Do not hesitate for a second; send this girl a message and get her booked. Rachel is INCREDIBLY talented. We were completely blown away by our wedding photos. Rachel and Aaron captured so many amazing moments for us and the pictures turned out beyond beautiful. Rachel also did our engagement photos and we were also SO happy with those! We can't say enough good things about Rachel's photography or how fun it was to work with her. Rachel was a great choice for wedding day and engagement photography. It was only about 5 degrees for our December wedding and it didn't slow her down at all! She was great at blending in with the crowd and not being disruptive during the ceremony nor reception.She was also very quick with her turn around time. We were able to view the 2000+ pictures within weeks! We were still extremely happy with our choice and would recommend Rachel Mae Photography to anyone!

Rachel and her husband did a fabulous job of capturing every moment of our wedding, both big and small. We had hoped for an outdoor ceremony, but rain chased us inside. When there was a small break in the downpour, Rachel photographed our first look -- the photos are absolutely amazing and so beautiful. She was punctual, professional and easily accessible via email, phone and text. We can't go back to our wedding day, but the photos that Rachel took make me feel like I'm there again.

Rachel did such an amazing job at capturing such beautiful moments on our wedding day that my husband and I can now cherish forever! Her eye for capturing the warm fall background really brought each picture together. We had a blast working with her and couldn’t have imagined using anyone else for pictures.

Rachel did a wonderful job with our pictures. She was very flexible and asked for our ideas but also took initiative when need be. Leading up to the wedding she answered all of my questions and even had a list of things to keep in mind for our wedding day. Our friends and family LOVE the pictures and they were very easy to download when Rachel sent them to us.

After meeting with Rachel for five minutes, we knew that our search for our wedding photographer was over. Tonight we received our engagement pictures (that were included in our package!) and we could not be happier. In less than two hours, Rachel captured our relationship in pictures I will treasure for the rest of my life! Our wedding is in April of 2018 and we are so thankful that we came across Rachel on The Knot!

Rachel photographed our wedding and she was absolutely fantastic. Before the journey even began, Rachel helped provide different packages to meet needs / wants. She also communicated with us during the planning process to give us pointers and ask for pictures we wanted done in advance. So, by the time the wedding came, she was very organized and thorough with all of our "wish list". During the portraits, Rachel helped us to feel comfortable and made us try poses that we wouldn't have come up with on our own (that made for some great pictures!!). She was also helpful keeping family and the wedding party organized for pictures before and after the ceremony. But, some of her most amazing shots, were the candid images she captured. She really helped to capture the essence of our rustic , intimate wedding as well as our loving, fun relationship. It was also so great that her husband Aaron helped photograph as well because we were able to get multiple angles on the same shots which look great! Thank you so much, Rachel and Aaron! We loved working with you. We are so thankful to have pictures that capture such a special day for us. We will cherish them forever!

Rachel was wonderful! She was so easy to work with prior to the wedding. She has a variety of ways to make payments which was so convenient. The day of the wedding she was very time conscious when taking photos. She was very encouraging and comforting while taking the photos. And, finally she got our pictures back to us so quickly. I would recommend her to any bride and groom looking for a sweet and caring photographer who happens to take amazing photos as well.

Rachel did a fantastic job photographing our wedding! She is so friendly and was wonderful to work with. Not only did we receive our photos back quickly after the wedding (about three weeks), they were absolutely beautiful!!
