After more than 250 weddings together, we’ve learned that the best wedding photographs aren’t just beautiful—they feel like the day itself. Candid, natural, joyful and full of the people you love. We bring plenty of energy, experience and direction to a wedding day while leaving room for the real moments to happen. We’ll help you feel comfortable in front of the camera, keep things moving when they need to move, laugh with you along the way and capture all the little moments you didn’t even realize were happening. We genuinely love doing this together. Rachel is the lead photographer, while Mark is the second photographer and videographer, so photography and video work seamlessly as one team from the start. You can choose wedding photography or have your entire day captured through photography + video. Our faith, family and love for what we do are at the heart of our business. When we’re not at a wedding, you’ll usually find us hanging out with our kids and pets, hiking, or making music—Mark plays drums and Rachel sings. nitial zoom call we felt comfortable and that we could be ourselves with Rachel and Mark. During our engagement photo session Rachel took the time to listen to us and understand our vision and guide us along the way while putting her own spin on it and we are so glad she did. She is truly an EXPERT and without her direction I know our photos and session would not have been the same. Once we got the photos back we knew without a doubt we had made the right decision. The photos were INCREDIBLE and really captured who we are as a couple. When it came to the wedding, Rachel and Mark (along with 2 others) showed up on time, came prepared and kept us on schedule throughout the day. They captured every detail of the day even down to my ugly cry face during our first look that I swore I was not going to be crying at. We have only seen a sneak peak from the wedding photos and we are already OVER THE MOON with the work they have done. We can not wait to see the rest of the photos from the wedding but more importantly we can not wait for more important times in our lives when we will need a photographer or videographer because we already know who we will call. There is so much to say about the quality of work from both Rachel & Mark. Starting with the engagement photo shoot, Rachel was so easy to work with and really helped us with poses...

and ideas, as my fiancé and I are a bit camera shy. She ventured with us through El Dorado National Forest for our dream snowy photoshoot and even captured some amazing golden hour shots. We were in awe with how much we loved doing a photoshoot! Our final details meeting before the wedding was easy and quick. Her questionnaire asks all necessary questions and made the process as easy and transparent as possible. Then comes the wedding day… we warned her & her husband Mark about some family issues and they worked with us to make sure the photo process was as seamless as could be. They were so positive and kind, kept a smile on their face despite some sideways comments from a few family members annoyed with having to take pictures. They were both on time, ready, and offered suggestions on additional poses and additional pictures. The drone shot with everyone was a huge hit with our guests AND worked to get everyone down to the dance floor!! Kudos for the creativity!! Overall, we had the best experience with Rachel & Mark and couldn’t have been more satisfied. Rachel provided sneak peek pictures SO QUICKLY after our wedding and we already fell in love with them. Thank you for everything!!

nscious person and was expecting to look back at my wedding photos and nit-pick at how I looked during the day, but I didn't! The pictures turned out so wonderfully that somehow Rachel and Mark have managed to make me feel beautiful!!! I absolutely love all the photos, and the video is just so touching and perfect. Rachel was so supportive and by my side the entire day, while Mark was taking all the photos of guests mingling, decor and other details. Rachel was great to communicate with and just so easy to work with. I really feel like we got to know each other even through our email exchanges before meeting in person on the day of the wedding. I simply cannot recommend Rachel and Mark enough. I am constantly browsing through our wedding photos and love being able to look back fondly on the day. ional, fun and upbeat! I had a small meltdown regarding my dress ( zipper) and Rachael kept me calm and was able to caputure the moment in such a beautiful way! So much that if a stranger were to see the pictures they would assume it was just the bride getting ready. They captured moments during the reception that I didnt even think anyone was around to see! They were able to truly see us, and have all the emotion come through the photos, the laughs, the tears, the nerves.. you name it! So if you're looking for your dream team, call them! Book them! I do not even know where to begin with this review. Rachel (of Rachel & Mark Photography) is THE BEST photographer I could have ever asked for, and is an incredible person, as well...

! I booked Rachel in 2019 for my wedding in Fall 2020. We were able to do an engagement photoshoot in the Oakland redwoods and the photos turned out absolutely gorgeous! Rachel is a true pro and really captures the heart of the moment - nothing artificial or forced here! She spent time getting to know me and my fiance so that we would be comfortable in the photos, and was able to do two locations for us. The photos are all amazing and just feel really genuine. I knew I wanted someone who was going to capture us authentically and with minimal adjustments, more of a photo story than a stylized shoot, and that is completely Rachel’s style. Due to COVID-19, we had to reschedule the wedding, and she was incredibly flexible and helpful with suggestions as we went through the re-planning process. In advance of the wedding, she sent over sample photo lists and gave good timing suggestions which really made the day run smoothly. The day of the wedding, Rachel captured everything we asked and more! We received a gorgeous set of sneak peek photos and her photo-journalistic style and beautiful, authentic aesthetic were so present in the first set of photos. Finally, Rachel is a kind and generous person, who is easy to be around and knowledgeable about all things wedding! I honestly could not recommend her enough, and we were so lucky to have her capture our wedding.

he ad looked so magical; so we set up an appointment to meet to see if we'd be a good fit and it was great! From our first meeting up until the wedding Rachel is very communacative and both my husband and I had a wonderful time working with her! Our (very affordable) package came with an engagement shoot so we got the chance to learn Rachel's style of shooting before the wedding. She's very photo journalistic and will perfectly capture your story! She shoots a lot of photos so you'll have a lot to choose from too. She did an amazing job capturing our special day! She got us sneak peek photos within a few days and the rest of our photos came in about 6 weeks (we were barely back from our honeymoon, so quick)! I'm very happy we found a photographer who worked so great with us! Can't recommend her enough!

was really able to look at the different styles of photography that we liked and conceptualize ways in which she could capture our multi day wedding in photography that will stand the test of time. Rachel was happy to be taken a little bit out of her comfort zone and experiment with me so that my fiance and I could get exactly what we wanted. I won't say that I was a bridezilla but I will say that I had a very specific vision in mind for what I wanted and Rachel was able to roll with low light scenarios, smoke bombs, champagne being poured from the sky and through all of that take amazing pictures with a wonderful attitude. In addition to delivering amazing photography Rachel really went above and beyond for us including staying in the East Bay for a long holiday weekend so that she could be at multiple events and even trading in some equipment to take better pictures in our low light ceremony after taking test shots during our rehearsal. Our pictures were delivered extremely fast (sneak peak from first wedding on Friday came while we were getting ready for the second wedding on Sunday) and the portfolio with all of our pictures was delivered within 2-3 weeks (we were still on our honeymoon in fact). In the end I can't say enough good things about Rachel and can't recommend her enough.
