She just pulled up like two minutes ago!” She works hard and from the start. She is very well-organized and doesn’t need anything from the bridal party. In fact, if you need anything from her she’s got you- bobby pins, belt adjustments, flower arrangement- you name it, she can master it. The woman has been around the wedding block a time or two and along the way she’s picked up a wide array of useful skills that she is happy to use to make every little detail go smoothly. As the day progresses it seems like she’s just another girlfriend in the bride’s room, laughing, talking, and excitedly anticipating the main event. She’s neither in the way, nor a silent spectator. She just blends right in to the party in the most seamless way, all while snapping away and capturing all kinds of beautiful moments. The photos of those weddings (as well as others that I’ve attended and one that my daughter was a flower girl in) are always gorgeous. You can see those for yourself to see her skill and talent. But the Rachel who joins you on one of the most special days of your life is the added bonus I wanted to tell you about. Reliable, capable, fun, and can often be found on the dance floor getting down with all your guests, errrr, uhhh, I mean, getting great shots of your guests dancing.

One example, my dress was in the bag from the bridal store with a regular “ugly” hanger, my venue was a country club and she searched the locker room for a “pretty” hanger to take pictures of my gown with. It was also raining on my wedding day and she did some amazing umbrella work to help keep things dry and get the shots all while getting rained on herself. I just don’t have enough good words to describe these two. I am more than pleased and so very happy that we chose Rachel as our photographer. en I talked to her on the phone for the first time. She talked to me like I was a friend and wasn't stiff or trying too hard to sell herself. You can tell she's truly passionate about what she does and she takes her work seriously, but not tooooo seriously (honestly, this girl is a blast). Rachel beautifully documented our wedding and gave us more pictures than I know what to do with (I can't even decide which ones to frame!). She has an incredible talent and our photos are absolutely stunning. It was also really important to me to find someone who didn't go overboard with photoshop and she does a great job with that. We got a great mix of candid shots and portraits, too. She went above and beyond to make sure we'd remember every detail of our day and I can't thank her enough for that. Also, my husband and I live in Chicago and she was awesome about working with us to schedule our engagement session when we were in town (on a Sunday, no less!) and then mailed me our final product after the wedding when I couldn't make it back to town. She also helped me find an awesome photobooth and planner. When the time comes, I already know my husband and I will drive the 300 miles back to Cincy so Rachel can shoot our maternity photos. That's how awesome she is.

orks hard to make you comfortable when she is taking your photos. She is easy to talk to, either phone or email, which ever you prefer. When she is at your wedding she goes out of her way to make sure you get the photos that you want. The photos, wow the photos, not only did our photos turn out GREAT, we had so many. All told we received over 1000 photos. I wanted to wait to write my review so I could compare them to other friends wedding photos. I have yet to have "Photo Envy" in fact looking at some other photos I feel bad for the couple knowing what they paid for those photos that I feel didn't turn out half as good as ours. I may be biased though, my wife looks so gorgeous ours. After we booked Rachel and had our engagement photo session the photography was the last thing we worried about. We were confident that Rachel had everything in hand and would be ready. I cannot say the same for the flowers or catering. Do yourself a favor and book Rachel Spears Photography for your wedding. e beautiful. She and Tara were a blast to work, and they helped to make sure the entire day flowed smoothly. One of my favorite parts of the whole day was our first look. I actually wasn't sure if we wanted to do a first look or not. I asked Rachel her opinion, and the pros and cons, etc. She is a huge believer in doing a first look. She told me that there is going to be emotion in your groom's face when you walk down the aisle whether he has already seen you or not. A first look saves time, gets a lot out of the way. And most importantly to ME...I learned that it was our only time alone together all day!! I absolutely loved our first look; it was like a little break away from everyone else in the middle of all the chaos. And the pictures were some of the best ones taken all day!!! My feet didn't hurt yet, my makeup and hair was fresh, and I still had energy to look happy and beautiful in my portraits. No matter what you choose though, Rachel is 100% for it. She won't force you into doing a first look. She won't try to talk you into anything. This is your day, and she totally respects that. All I'm saying is...I am so glad I talked to her about it, and I decided to do it. Our wedding day was perfect, and Rachel made it THAT much better. She acted not only as an AMAZING photographer, but a friend, a source of entertainment at times, and a built in wedding consultant all in one. One of the best decisions I ever made, you should too.

She will calm your nerves, make your day go smoothly, and ensure that the flower girl is smiling all at the same time. Long before my wedding day, Rachel was answering my questions and giving me advice on anything wedding related. I really can't say enough good things about Rachel and her team...and if all this didn't make you pick up the phone and book her, you should know that when my wedding day shoes become unbearable she gave me her flats and went barefoot during my pre-reception photos. My husband and I have the most beautiful photos to remember our wedding day and we can't thank Rachel enough.

fee... I loved this because it allowed myself and my husband to get to know Rachel before the big day. She returned every email and answered every question I had up until my wedding. She was always quick to respond and always helpful. She even helped me with things such as timeline, bridesmaid dress choices, etc that she really didn't have to do. On my wedding day Rachel showed up and it was like hanging out with one of my girlfriends, not my photographer. She made the day fun and it shows in her pictures. They are all gorgeous!! from the time she posted them online until about 6 hours later I sat on the couch looking at them over and over again. Rachel really knows how to capture not just the picture but the emotion and essence of the day. I felt like I was reliving my wedding when looking back at the pictures. She also made sure to keep the bridal party on time and was aware of the schedule for the day. All the while asking me how I was doing, if I needed anything, and taking the stress off of me. She really is more than just a photographer, by the end of the day shes a good friend. I am so happy with her work and have absolutely no regrets. So you have to know when to cut, when to DIY and when to splurge. Photography isn't cheap and good photographers generally cost more. But let me save you the stress of this decision - book Rachel Spears Photography now! I had never selected a photographer before, so I searched around a lot to see who was out there. I was hooked after reading her website and I'm so glad we picked Rachel Spears. Rachel was wonderful from start to finish. She is personable and easy to talk to, responds to questions quickly, never let on if she was annoyed if I was being neurotic (quite the opposite - she was very reassuring and calm) and, beyond a doubt, produces a gorgeous product. I'm not one who enjoys being in the spotlight, but Rachel and Tara put us at ease. I'm also not a model, but I just wanted wedding pictures that would make me look like, for one day, I was one! (But still looked like 'me'.) And Rachel delivered. Afterall, wedding pictures are what you'll pass on to your kids and grandkids. (I displayed our parents' and grandparents' wedding pics at our reception.) You want something that will stand the test of time. Rachel's style is natural and classic. She doesn't use trendy lenses or lighting that will look dated in a few years. I really love that the images are yours to keep and share. We are able to share the files with our guests, so we encouraged them to put down the cameras and enjoy the moment! (And it worked! They had a blast and Rachel's pictures don't include everyone with a camera up to their face.) We've gotten so many compliments on both the quality of the pictures (those of us and of the guests) and what a riot the photobooth was! In fact, now that the wedding is all done, I miss her!

vendor! Our engagement session was a great way for us to get to know Rachel and for her to get to know us as a couple. She was even willing to travel to Columbus, OH to shoot this session! We were so pleased with our engagement photos and this reassured us that she was going to rock our wedding day photos! AND SHE DID! We are SOOOO happy with our wedding day photos. She and her assistant did an excellent job at blending in while looking professional. They also were a lot of fun at the reception and many of our guests talked about how awesome they were! We used the photo booth and this went over so well! Our guests loved the props! Rachel provides excellent service, quality, and professionalism. We received our wedding photos only 4 weeks later! She is very creative and talented. I wouldn't have used another photographer! We will treasure these photos for the rest of our lives!
