Hey there! I’m Rachel, founder and principal planner at RVE, and I’m not your average wedding planner, because you're not looking for an average day. I launched my planning company in 2022 from the mountains of Vermont, after years in the wedding industry learning, growing, and honing my craft. Around here, we do things a little differently. I believe wedding planning should feel like a celebration, not a stress test—and that’s where my signature style of laid-back luxury comes in!

We first heard of Rachel Vitagliano Events through our wedding venue in Vermont (Riverside Farm), who recommended Rachel as being very friendly, even-keeled, and on top of things. ...
We had spoken with a number of planners but were struggling to find someone who we felt like the right fit for our personalities and who was local and could connect us with other local vendors - important for us, as we do not live in the area. After our first call with Rachel, we were thrilled to have finally found someone who checked all our boxes and immediately put us at ease. We booked her to help with our wedding about 10 months away for partial planning services. We had already selected some of the big vendors and had a general vision, so wanted assistance finding additional vendors, thinking through the guest experience for our 100-150 guests who would be coming from out of town, and making sure all our design ideas coalesced.
Over the next many months, we had roughly monthly calls with Rachel, which she kindly made work around our restrictive work schedules. She was generous with her time, very organized through AislePlanner and in her emails, and always efficient and responsible. We loved the checklists and clear goals she made us after each meeting that helped us feel like our tasks were manageable and like we were making progress. Even though we had many questions and sought her input on many things, she was always patient, coolheaded, and friendly. She did several site visits for us with vendors, we met her and other vendors for venue walkthroughs, and she was super helpful receiving shipped items for the wedding ahead of our arrival. She also helpfully had some items in her inventory that we used, rather than purchasing a bunch of items we would’ve only used one time. With the vendors we asked her to handle all communications with, it was easy and straightforward for us and without hiccups.
On the wedding weekend, Rachel and her assistant, Taylor, were both very professional and on top of all the logistics, vendor communications, setting up and breaking down two different locations, and made every single event run without any major hitches. Multiple vendors we hired who had worked with Rachel before were very complimentary of her organizational skills and we found that to be the case throughout the weekend. We received many compliments from our wedding party and family who asked Rachel many questions and relied on her for logistics and information over the course of the weekend. Perhaps most importantly, we did not feel like we needed to think at all about logistics during the weekend because we knew it was all in competent hands.
We would strongly recommend Rachel and her team for your wedding planning needs!

wedding planning stressful?” And my reply, every single time, was “no, because I have the most amazing wedding planner.”
I cannot recommend Rachel Vitagliano Events enough. She planned our wedding, which was a double feature including a picnic ceremony at the lake in the morning followed by an 80s Prom reception in the evening. Two very different vibes, a lot to coordinate, plan, and decorate, and Rachel and her team went above and beyond every step of the way.
We had meetings every couple months throughout the year, and Rachel always had an answer to every question, never missing a beat. She has an online portal that made organization easy and pleasant. She has amazing ideas and vision. Any time I got overwhelmed, she was immediately able to ease my concerns and I felt so much better after every time we spoke.
For the Prom reception, that took place at the City Hall, the only thing we gave her was a color scheme and a Pinterest board. From that she created a mesmerizing portal through time that made every single guests’ jaws drop. People could not stop talking about how amazing it looked. For reference, see the pictures below – the sparkling, dreamlike Prom compared to how it looked the NEXT DAY, set up for a local vote. These photos are also a testament to how fast and thorough her team’s clean up was!
The fire alarm even went off in the middle of the reception, and I had no idea that Rachel spent almost an hour trouble shooting and dealing with the fire department (there was no fire). I didn’t even know this was going on—she goes above and beyond to deal with the stress so that her clients have the perfect time.
Rachel brought all of our dreams to life and somehow made them even better than we imagined. She is so incredibly good at every aspect of her job. My wedding was perfect and an absolute dream, in large part because of Rachel. Hiring her will be the best decision you could make for your event planning!!

She helped create a seamless experience from the moment guests arrived through the final dance of the wedding weekend. Knowing she was managing every detail allowed us to truly relax and enjoy the celebration with our family and friends.
Throughout the planning process, Rachel was an incredible resource, always responsive, thoughtful, proactive, and solutions-oriented. No question was too small, and no challenge ever seemed to rattle her. She anticipated needs before they arose and consistently went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect.
What impressed us most was her dedication and genuine investment in our experience. We always felt like we were in the best hands. The entire weekend exceeded our expectations, and so much of that is thanks to Rachel's hard work, expertise, and care. We are endlessly grateful for everything she did and would recommend her without hesitation to any couple looking for a planner who is organized, talented, calm, and truly exceptional at what she does!

It was the perfect day with everything in its right place because Rachel was so organized and communicated so well.

I could relax and focus on getting ready with my friends and family. I didn't have to lift a finger for any of the setup, which was really key for me in getting to enjoy the day. There were lots of little hiccups that Rachel took care of flawlessly, from getting our outdoor ceremony setup dried off and ready to go after some morning showers to working seamlessly to keep the night on track timing wise both with us and all of our other vendors. I know she did countless other things that I wasn't even aware of because I was able to enjoy the night with very few interruptions, which would have been impossible without her there. On top of all of this, Rachel is sweet, genuine, kind, responsive, and hard working and was just such a calming presence during a very hectic and fast paced day. If you are on the fence, trust me when I say you and your family/wedding party cannot do it all, and since you NEED help on your wedding day, why not have it be someone as sweet and kind as Rachel?!
