Authentic Bier Garten
Radegast Hall and Biergarten is absolutely beautiful and full of character. One of the things we loved most was that it didn't require much decorating at all. We added a few floral arrangements, and that was really all it needed to feel warm, romantic, and personalized for our wedding day. The atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for, and so many of our guests commented on how unique and stunning the venue was.
The food was wonderful, and the entire team was friendly, professional, and attentive throughout the event. Everything felt seamless from start to finish, which allowed us to truly enjoy our day.
A special thank you to Sean, who was incredibly helpful throughout the planning process. He was always responsive to our questions, accommodating to our requests, and made the entire experience feel easy and stress-free. Allowing us early access for setup was especially appreciated and helped make the day run smoothly.
We would absolutely recommend Radegast Hall to any couple.

We booked the Bier Haus at Radegast for our wedding of ~65 guests, and after the experience, we are completely satisfied. Each aspect of the event was taken care of smoothly and cleanly, with professionalism, flexibility, and care. The aesthetic of the room was excellent by itself, and when spruced up with wedding decor, fit exactly what we were looking for. The manager, Sean, clearly felt it was important to make the event as close to our vision as possible, and he succeeded. The food prepared by Chef Brian was beyond our expectations even after doing our tastings, and he went out of his way to ensure that the menu reflected our preferences. The bar program was both skilled in making the drinks, including a custom cocktail, and attentive at taking the orders. We felt taken care of in exactly the way that was important to us: the only thing we had to focus on was our community and each other. We highly recommend Radegast for special events.

ut the entire wedding planning process - he had a “can do” attitude with literally any challenge, and calmed our (many) pre-wedding anxieties. He said yes to any vision we had and worked with the team to make sure that every single thing - down to the smallest detail - was executed perfectly. The aesthetic was beautiful - we didn’t have to spend very much at all on decor or florals because the venue itself was beautiful and rustic without being cliche.
We rented out the Main Hall (eg, big bar room and long garden hall) and had about 150ish guests. We had our ceremony in the garden, cocktail hour in the Dining Room, and reception/dancing all over. After the ceremony, the staff had set up a little table in the back room (Bier Haus) for me and my husband to take a moment, eat a pretzel, and have a drink while guests roamed in the Dining Room for cocktail hour. It was technically in a room open to the public lol but that made it extra sweet, with the live band cheersing us and strangers congratulating us. Such a fun touch.
We were initially worried about benched seats for our elder guests, and Sean made sure to squeeze in extra tables with backed seats as much as possible. We were also initially worried about having enough space for a horrah - it was a little tight but ended up being iconic, as we all danced throughout the venue in a giant circle, and definitely had space for chair lifting. The dancing, of course, was SO amazing - our guests absolutely loved getting up on the benches and tables. The levels made it even more *iconic*. And the staff sweeped off the tables so swiftly, it was like magic. They thought of everything.
For food, we did the buffet option, and the staff set up two buffets on each side of bar in the Dining Room/bar room area. It was super smooth and faster than expected for everyone to get their meals. The food was also SO GOOD. We also had kosher and vegan options laid out in the middle, which staff facilitated seamlessly. We also had pretzels for guests during the cocktail hour, which was a great addition.

From day one, Sean (the venue manager) was welcoming, easy-going, and never pushy. He made everything feel simple and genuinely cared about our day. During our tour, we instantly felt the vibe and could finally picture our celebration.
Sean supported us throughout the entire planning process, and on the wedding day he worked side-by-side with our coordinator to make everything run effortlessly. The staff was incredible, attentive, kind, and always ten steps ahead. We never went without food or a drink in hand.
The food was a huge hit with our guests, including those with dietary restrictions. Everything was delicious. Thank you Chef Brian!

Some admitted they weren’t sure how we’d pull it off in a space like Radegast, but afterward they couldn’t stop raving about how intimate, unique, and perfectly “us” it felt. That’s a testament to the venue, the staff, and their seamless coordination with our other vendors.
From our first tour with Sean, we knew we were in great hands. He and his team have built one of the most thoughtful wedding packages in NYC. We knew we didn’t want a traditional wedding, but we did want it to feel like one, and Radegast delivered. Even in the middle of a storm, Sean coordinated with our musical vendors, handled all AV needs, and kept everything running effortlessly.
The food was incredible - Chef Brian helped us create custom appetizers like mini chicken pot pies with pierogi dough and tomato soup shooters with grilled cheese. Guests are still talking about the pretzels, pierogis, and latkes. The drinks were just as impressive, with quick service and perfect espresso martinis (cocktail and mocktail versions).
We wanted a sophisticated yet funky, high-energy celebration that felt authentic to us, and Radegast nailed it. The night ran flawlessly, and we can’t wait to come back and relive the magic.

First of all, the venue is beautiful and incredibly well-maintained by a team that clearly cares about the space very dearly. It helped us create the perfect environment for our wedding - a celebration of love in a space that felt inviting and personal.
Secondly, the food at Radegast is incredible! This won't surprise you if you've ever eaten the restaurant, but the Radegast team put on a delicious and bountiful German spread. Our families are still talking about the food - there was not a single miss/unpopular dish from the passed appetizers, dinner, or late-night grill.
But most importantly, Sean and his team provided incredible service above and beyond what we could have even imagined possible. This was one of the selling points that Sean emphasized in our first meeting, and he more than came through. Sean was available to chat throughout the entire planning process, helped us with vendor recommendations, and was amenable to all of our requests. On the night of the wedding, the venue was fully staffed with so many servers and bartenders that nobody ever needed to wait for a drink or try to hunt down a passed appetizer. Sean anticipated our every need and the needs of our guests, which made the incredible vibe feel even more personal and warm. Sean and his team are unreasonably hospitable.
I would give Radegast and its team ten stars, if I could. If you're getting married and want to have an amazingly fun and warm celebration, I highly recommend you check out Radegast!

Sean managed the booking for us, and we felt his attention and thoroughness immediately. This was in stark contrast to the apathy that we felt at other places; almost like we needed to work for any enthusiasm from the venue about booking with them. We felt “wined and dined” by Sean and super confident that he would take the event as seriously as we were. We ended up booking The Bier House space with the buffet food option.
Our intuition was right, Radegast was incredible! Not only were they the most affordable option that we could find in the city for our number of guests, but the space was so beautiful that we didn’t have to spend money on any additional decor. The food was delicious, the staff was attentive and friendly, and all of our guests were really impressed.
Sean and the staff at Radegast “bent over backwards” (a quote from our wedding planner) to make sure that our vision for the day matched reality. They helped solve any problem that came along, and did so with a smile. They were as accommodating on the day of the event as they were in the months leading up to it. The price was exactly what we were quoted, there were not any unexpected add-ons or fees. The event was an absolute blast and the venue had a lot to do with it.
Also the location is incredible. Williamsburg is perfect for everyone; your NYC friends are a subway ride away, your weird conservative relatives from Long Island can park in the parking garage literally across the street and run home right after the event, and anyone unfamiliar with the city will leave the event loving how pretty Brooklyn is.
This is absolutely the best value for a wedding venue in New York City and the positive vibes are through the roof!

pecial. Food and bar team was friendly and attentive. The event coordinator Sean, walked us through the whole experience. From helping us through the planning process, coordinating with vendors, going the extra mile to direct our ceremony and holding down the fort during the actual party so we could really enjoy ourselves. As the brides, we were never left with an empty glass. We left feeling like family.
The food is always fantastic when we dine here. There was no exception when it came to scaling their meals up for hundreds of people. Sean and the team made sure to include our favorite items. We were able to provide some fan favorites, but they also made it so easy to simultaneously have options for those with dietary restrictions in our life.
Truly can't say enough kind words about this team and would recommend them to anyone/everyone. The place is beautiful, the food and drinks are never ending. The perfect mix of refined but not too formal.

knew what Radegast was about: big party atmosphere with excellent drinks. What we came to find out was that it was so much more.
We’ll start with Sean, Radegast’s manager and possibly one of the nicest, most down-to-earth persons we could have hoped to work with; any request we had he was able to accommodate, no stress. It was made apparent to us very early that it would be so simple working with Sean and his team, it really helped alleviate the stress of the preparation period.
The menu planning was easy, most of the appetizers were can’t miss and the main dinner options put a really fun spin on traditional wedding dishes. Everything we landed on was delicious and well received by our guests. The other big consideration was working with a bar and staff the caliber of Radegast - they aren’t limited to certain mixed drinks or a pre-set list of beer because being a top-class bar handling a large crowd is what they do every night.
The night of, all anyone could talk about was the service and the space. All the staff were brilliant: friendly and accommodating keeping our guest well fed and looked after, making everyone feel like regulars that they had known for years. Sean took us under his personal watch and was never far when we needed anything or to even offer a bit of touchup on a suit. A true partner. The space was beautiful, we got lucky enough with the weather to open the garden’s ceiling windows and it just created the most perfect setting to celebrate with everyone we loved.
It was truly a night to remember, one that wouldn’t have been nearly as special without Radegast and their very special staff.

I was hesitant at first, but Radegast was the perfect venue for us because it was:
1) a great value for the cost (maybe the best in NYC)
2) non-traditional but with all of the aspects you’d want in a traditional venue, like food onsite, excellent staff, bar options, A/V
3) every person we ever met who worked there treated us so well before we even told them we were getting married there
Do yourself a favor and pick Radegast for your next event.

uple throughout the process. He was so easy to work with, taking much of the stress that comes with planning a wedding right off our plate. Sean was incredibly accommodating to all our requests to ensure the comfort of our guests as well as any dietary restrictions for the food; everything from “Grandma needs a chair with a cushion and a back” and “Aunt Linda can’t have gluten” was mentioned once and delivered perfectly by Sean. It was an absolute pleasure working with someone like this - while we were in the process people would say to us ugh planning a wedding is so time consuming and stressful right? We never felt this one, Sean was absolutely on top of everything.
All of our guests still can’t stop talking about how much they loved the atmosphere, the building, the staff, and the food, especially the food - every dish was amazing and Sean made sure everyone got plenty of it. Another thing our guests are still mentioning to us is how the bartenders and servers were extremely attentive, kind and fun- dancing behind the bar and sharing in our celebration, the complete opposite of most weddings you attend. But Sean was the real hero of the night delivering a tray of shots to the dance floor, we’ll never forget the cheers the crowd gave him for that move!
We were told by everyone that perfect weddings are a myth, that something always comes up. I guess we busted the myth because we really did have the perfect wedding, and we have Sean and the entire staff at Radegast to thank for it.

as so kind and helpful. They really helped make our dream day come true. When you choose Radegast, you are not only getting great food, reasonable prices, and a cool setting. You are ensuring your day will be fun and enjoyable for everyone. You're also giving yourself the gift of a venue coordinator (Sean) and venue team who cares and will make planning easier for you.
I can't imagine a better venue to work with. Planning was so easy and the team worked with us and our other vendors so well. The food is absolutely incredible! Our guests will not stop talking about it! We've heard from so many people that this was the most fun wedding they've been to. The place as so much character on its own that we did very little planning for decor. It was a huge savings, but also really created the homey, fun vibe we wanted for our day.
The wait staff and bartenders are so nice and fun - they absolutely added to our day. They took care of our guests by making sure they always had a drink that was well made and exactly what they wanted. One of the waitresses even found me and brought me a plate of hors d'oeurves since I couldn't mingle during cocktail hour. It was so sweet that I didn't even have to ask. One of our guests got a video of the staff dancing during our Hora and it was so nice to know our wedding was a good time for EVERYONE.

as very responsive, flexible, and always available to answer all of my questions. Radegast also provided so many things, from dinnerware to candles. It was very affordable, but did not lack the tiniest bit in quality! Our guests RAVED about the food and drinks and the service was unbelievable. Several people mentioned to us that their drinks were constantly being filled without them having to lift a finger.

with picking a balanced menu and quick to respond to all emails and set up meetings whenever we asked. The party space is separate from the public, more then comfortably sat our guests, band and room to dance. There was no tasting, so much of the menu was a leap of faith, but we did have a beer tasting! Since it is a real beer garden, the tables have communal benches which made mingling really easy. We did rent chairs so a few tables could accommodate guests who could not climb into a bench or needed a seat with a back. We were able to arrange chairs and cake to be delivered without a hitch. The most impressive part of the experience was how warm and professional all the servers, bartenders and Radegast staff treated our guests, it was an extraordinary level of service.
