I ordered a boutineer and corsage from Rae's flower shop on a Thursday, I explained how important it was to have the flowers done by Friday for my Pastors Anniversary. Christy ass...
ured me they would be done, she then asked for my number and told me she would contact me when the flowers were done, In which she assured me it would be early afternoon on Friday. On Friday I never received a call and My pastor and First Lady could not have a pinning of flowers because there were no flowers! Considering I worked third shift that Friday night I got up earlier than usual on that Saturday just to go get the flowers from Rae's, I woke up to a voicemail from the shop at 11:30 saying my flowers were done and ready to be picked up because they were closing soon. After hearing the message I was up and out of the house within 30 minutes only to get to Rae's with no lights on and the doors locked because they were closed! I was So disappointed because for 1) She didn't call me when the arrangements were done, 2)There was no emergency number to contact them, 3) we didn't have any flowers for my pastor. I knew I was out of luck at that point. There was no hours of Operation listed on the door which was odd to me, I just said to my self it's not the end of the world the owners at Rae's seem like nice fair business people even though Christy didn't call me like she said surely they will just reimburse me my money. Unfortunately that did not happen when I asked for my refund she said the flowers were ready and there's nothing she can do with them, She also lied and said she never told me she would call me when the flowers were done but that was far from the truth! I understand they have a business to run but they are bad for business. I paid for the flowers when I ordered them and couldn't get my money back although there is nothing noted on the receipt that says NO REFUNDS! I paid up front because I know sometimes little shops like that get ripped off from people placing orders and not picking them up intentionally just because they changed their minds. I was promised a courtesy call when my order was ready and didn't get it and now I'm out of $50! Had I gotten 50% of my money back I wouldn't feel like I threw money away and I probably would have done business with them again but NEVER in life! Will I go back to Rae's flower shop on Brownsboro rd. When you do right by people you will be blessed in abundance, this goes to show the shop doesn't get much business because They would have made it right with me considering I didn't get any flowers. The corsage was over priced as is but because she guaranteed me I could pick them up the next day unlike other flower shops I checked out I chose to do business with them, but hey this teaches me to pay attention to outside and inside appearance of where I chose to do business. The character of the employees/owners match the look of the shop.

I saw photo albums of previous work and had a great consultation, working out how to get the look I wanted for the amount I wanted to spend.
When it came time for my bridal portraits, Christy from Rae's sold me an additional bouquet, to be picked up the day before the photo session, since they would be closed that day. The bouquet looked beautiful - blue hydrangeas with some smaller white flowers.
Within a few hours, though, half the bouquet turned brown and wilted away. I tried calling the shoppe, and got an emergency number from their answering machine. I left two voicemails on this emergency number, no response. My fiance's grandmother ultimately made me a bouquet out of silk flowers for the day.
When I called the shoppe a couple days later, they told me that the office manager must have changed her number and forgot to update their outgoing message! Christy couldn't understand how the flowers could have wilted, and blamed her wholesaler. She did refund my payment for the bouquet, and refunded my deposit for the wedding, then offered to do my entire wedding for free.
I was really tempted, except that when I spoke with another florist, she explained that my flowers wilted because 1) hydrangeas wilt after you touch them and 2) hydrangeas cannot withstand going back and forth between hot and cold. Christy didn't seem to know this.
Rae's definitely tried to make it right after they ruined my bridal portrait bouquet, but I really just would not trust this shoppe to do my flowers ever again.
