Ragged Point Inn and Resort has a variety of gorgeous outdoor and indoor event spaces to host your festivities. A popular ceremony site is the Wedding Pagoda, a beautiful redwood structure with a spectacular view of the Big Sur Coast and a green lawn to place abundant guest seating. The tip of Ragged Point offers tree-shaded pathways. Indoor venues include the fully enclosed Solarium with panoramic views. At 2,700 square feet in size, it can host up to 100 seated guests for celebrations and be decorated to match a theme. The Solarium and main lawns also provide space to erect tents. More intimate gatherings can be hosted in the Cliff House, a home-like setting with five private guest rooms. The fully-glass restaurant with its dining deck, fire pit, and fish pond provide yet more sites for your special occasion.
The Ragged Point Inn and Resort staff offers in-house catering and bartending services, as well as the use of event rentals and on-site accommodation. The staff chefs will craft a menu to meet your requirements. Additionally, these stunning surroundings present unique opportunities for memories and photography.

ct with. We started with email, eventually calling the front desk, then escalated to management, who even stopped responding to us. We ended up getting ahold of the events assistant, who was helpful initially but also became unresponsive. Jessica, the new coordinator, did finally email us after *two months* from our initial inquiry, but communication has been patchy at best. I understand going through a staffing change, but the fact that Ragged Point thinks radio silence is acceptable for clients is highly concerning. Even a general acknowledgement would go a long way. In any case, we loved the venue so much that we were willing to tough it out, but it made what should have been an exciting time very stressful.
Once we did hear back from Jessica, we were informed their pricing had changed. It was a bit frustrating that they would not honor their original estimate. In addition, Saturday weddings now require a full property buy-out for two nights-- that means your guests will be spending $700 to stay there for the weekend. And yes, you must book all ~100 rooms at the property.
Between the lack of communication and pricing changes, we lost faith in Ragged Point, as much as we love it. I don't think I could trust them to manage a wedding as they are unable to keep up with basic inquiries. We ended up booking another venue.

dinator, Sandra, and were entirely ghosted. Over the course of nearly two months, I sent multiple emails to the events team, called the front desk (only to be told that weeks of radio silence is normal), and eventually escalated the thread directly to the General Manager. I have received absolutely no reply or acknowledgement in return. If this is how they handle prospective clients who are ready to sign a contract and book out the property, a massive bullet was dodged for the actual wedding day. Incredibly disappointing operational standards for such a beautiful location.

d guests, forgot to provide pre approved vegetarian food for rehearsal, forgot to turn on lights, wedding dinner running late, etc) they blamed my husband and me. Never apologizes for mistakes, constantly gaslights. The venue is beautiful, but there are many places that are more deserving of your money. Price their service far beyond what they are able to deliver, not a reasonably value.
