ing the pictures and how impressed I am with our album. I knew going into it that I would love his pictures since I loved what I had seen of his work but that was with other people in them not me. I tend to always be the weird looking one in the group (like I don’t know the picture is happening, but I do). We also aren’t a couple who likes to have pictures taken of us (except for a random selfie here and there) so yes, we were awkward in front of the camera and I’m sure there was a lot of editing needed. But Ralph was able to get amazing pictures and made us feel like movie stars! I also can’t even describe the album; I had no idea something this nice could be made and every one of my friends who I’ve let touch it are shocked! (I’m slightly protective over it.) I can not say enough good things about Ralph, he made a couple of ugly duckling into swans for a day!!!

His exceptional knowledge of the wedding day process made him a better wedding planner and strategist than we could have ever hoped for. He ensured every beat and minute was planned to perfection. Most importantly, Ralph was a welcome calming presence on what can be a hectic day; always assuring us we were doing great and the pictures looked wonderful. and expectations. He put together a timeline for us with photos in several different locations around Avalon the morning of the wedding . He arrived on time and was incredibly professional and knowledgeable. The weather the morning of the wedding was awful, so we were not able to get the majority of the photos we had hoped for. ICONA Avalon is not a large hotel and Ralph was left with a challenge to try and get the variety of photos that we wanted, all indoors. He did a great job utilizing different areas of the hotel and we were able to get some great photos for our album. The family photos were a little hectic and we somehow missed getting a photo with my husband, myself and two step-daughters, which was a bit disappointing but other than that, he did a great job keeping everyone organized. We received the album proofs promptly and opted for a call to review them. The album was ordered from Italy and is a beautiful keepsake and such great quality. Ralph Deal Photography was well worth the investment - wedding photos are so important and Ralph did not disappoint.

ng is probably one of the biggest decisions to make since it is the one thing that you will have with you forever. Working with Ralph will surely not disappoint. Ralph and his second photographer, Lauren, were so amazing to work with. I am not easy to work with since I do not like being photographed but Ralph was so patient. His work is absolutely stunning. Do not hesitate in choosing Ralph!!

e was the only one that we were disappointed with. It saddens us each time we have reviewed the photos. I want to start with the positives. He was easy to talk to and made us feel comfortable when we first met. Our engagement session went well and we got a few great shots of out it. I think he does good work when there is no rush. I do want to highlight that we got our photos in a very reasonable timeframe. Finally, Gina was the assistant that day for our first look and pre-ceremony shots and she was absolutely wonderful. However, he did not perform well when it came to capturing once in a lifetime moments. We did not even have a wedding party and both our immediate families are fairly small (I just have 3 other family members and my husband has 4 others). We paid for a second photographer so as not to miss the important moments. Yet, we have no shots of the groom's reaction as I walked down the aisle. During our 90 minute cocktail hour, I saw the 2nd photographer once and we never saw Ralph himself. He did not notice that the groom's sister was not in any of the ceremony shots. He also later mistook my father as my grandfather in a letter he wrote to us (we filled out a survey pre-wedding regarding our family members and desired shots. We also talked about it on the phone after the survey was completed). In fact, when we did the reveal, he asked who my sister-in-law was in the formals. The formals were generally a mess. Initially, the groom was not included in the bride family photos. Then, the bride was not included in the groom's family photos. It was so hectic that we did not even notice until we looked at the photos. Our extended family was also not very sizable so it is really no excuse for a professional wedding photographer. We got married 10 months ago and have yet to make an album because when we look through the 600 photos, we could only find a dozen worth printing. The more we look through the photos, the more disappointed we get and the more we notice is missing from them. We wanted to frame a nice photo of myself with my husband's immediate family for a Christmas gift but no such photo exists!! It truly ruined our night. We also do not have many photos of our friends. We did reach out to see if there were other photos but there were not. I know that he met us only once and then met everyone else for the first time on the wedding day. He could not have known who were our closer friends that he did not capture. However, there are minimal standards that a wedding photographer should be able to meet.

They were beautiful! He also continued to treat you like a friend after the wedding. For the gallery reveal, he invited us over to preview all of our photos and re-live the best day of our lives in his home theater - it was a great experience and made us feel special. It was so hard to choose what to put in our album. Regardless, the quality of everything is superb. We can't thank Ralph enough for the superlative experience and moments he captured in one of the greatest days of our lives. He is an artist and his work reflects that.

We spoke on and off for a year as the wedding plans moved along and I knew right after I hired him that I had made the right decision. Not only is he enjoyable and fun to talk to but I loved that I could completely trust his opinions in regards to photography decisions. He told me when my ideas weren't ideal for pictures and gave suggestions when I wasn't sure of where to do pictures. He welcomed us into his home to view our entire gallery of photos, of which there were over 900. Ralph made every step as easy as possible and e-mailed or called us each step of the way to keep us updated on the status of our photos and when we had to make each payment. Ralph also has a great team that got along with all of the wedding party. They were able to get great photos of all the fun moments from before the wedding all the way through the party that ensued. You are crazy if you don't pick Ralph as your photographer because he is the absolute BEST in every way!

Immediately following our meeting, I sat in the car next to my fiancé (now husband) and said, "Can we hire him now?! I love him!!" I can't even tell you how many great photos we got that evening! We even used the engagement photos for our Save the Dates. Ralph and his team did an excellent job capturing all aspects of our wedding weekend. He was even willing to stop by our rehearsal dinner to snap a few shots. Although Ralph was not able to come due to a wedding (in which we knew of before hand), he sent someone from his team to take a few photos. I absolutely LOVE one shot she got of us on the Union League of Philadelphia's staircase. It is one of my favorite pictures from that weekend! Ralph and his team are EXCELLENT! Words cannot explain how happy I am with our wedding photos. I am literally crying writing this review as just even remembering the photos he took brings me back to our perfect wedding day. He is warm, his smile is contagious and he is just a laid back, super fun person to be around. I hate getting my picture taken (I still do) but with Ralph there was no pressure. He made us laugh and the entire experience was enjoyable. We knew after our engagement photos we picked the right person. We were all scheduled for our November wedding when we got hit with some news that made us hastily move up our date. I called Ralph and he was flexible and accommodating and sensitive to our situation. It was never about him or his service it was about us and what he could do to help us and make our day as perfect as every wedding day could be. On the day of our wedding Ralph not only accommodated us, but my family also. He had too many people asking him to take certain pictures that they wanted. How he managed to keep my guest happy - while not compromising anything we wanted is beyond me. He is patient and he is kind. We received our pictures back in record time. The presentation of our album and our proofs was amazing. We weren't hanging out with our photographer we were hanging out with an old friend. The way he displayed the proofs and our online album for us to review was unexpected and so special. From our first meeting, to our engagement session to the wedding and the review plus the follow ups to check to see how we are doing - Ralph has spent hours with us. To say I was amazed was an understatement. I called right away and he was so friendly, it was like talking to an old friend. He was thorough, kind, and available on my wedding day so we booked him right away. We scheduled an engagement shoot and Ralph spent hours walking around Olde City with us, looking for the perfect lighting and perfect shots. He was so upbeat and full of energy. I was thrilled with our engagement photos. The day of our wedding, he was early and ready to go. He made me so comfortable and calm when my nerves were the exact opposite. My hairdressers ran late and I worried after that we might not have gotten enough photos-- I was so beyond shocked when we got our photos back. There were so many beautiful shots. I can't put into words how perfect they were and what a great job he did with a not so perfect (lighting-wise) venue. I will treasure the photos for the rest of my life and I am so thankful we found Ralph. I couldn't recommend him enough!

I am very uneasy in front of the camera so we were looking for more candid photos and a photographer who made us comfortable. We met with Ralph and his easy going fun, yet professional, personality meshed perfect with ours. During the planning process, he was always quick to respond to e-mails and questions. We greatly appreciate the time he took with us before the wedding to go over his extensive questionnaire relative to what type of pictures were important to us and the timeline of the day. We had a DIY wedding on a family member's horse farm with a private ceremony and pig roast reception under a tent so the decor and details were important to us. We really wanted it to be casual and didn't have many of the traditional wedding formalities. Our wedding day was perfect! We had beautiful weather and the entire day was surreal! Ralph and his crew (Greg and Gina) were so great to deal with...it was like hanging out with friends which really helped me forget the camera was there. Anytime I was feeling awkward, Ralph gave me direction, where to put my hands, where to look, etc. We had quite the adventure through fields, high grasses, sticker bushes, etc. but it was well worth it. Our pictures are absolutely beautiful! They are very picturesque but also capture the moment. It's amazing how he captured the love and casual atmosphere through the photos. Our pictures truly tell our wedding story. We couldn't be happier with Ralph!

Perfect example - We hired Ralph after a successful engagement shoot in NY. Not only did he meet us in NYC, but when my husband and I went to the wrong location and were almost 30 minutes late, he stayed calm, cool, and collected and stayed longer than he had scheduled in order to ensure we got all of the great photos he wanted to take. I was so frazzled but he ensured me not to worry, calmed me down, and we ended up getting beautiful photos. That had me sold, and then he further proved himself leading up to and on our wedding day. He took the time to drive around the city with us ahead of our wedding to select different locations to shoot and we later prioritized such locations to ensure if we ran low on time, we had a plan. The day ran so smoothly and I never looked at the time once because I knew he had everything covered. I am so excited to create our album, but I know it will be difficult because we have so many incredible photos to choose from!
