Randy Allen Music

Randy was the musician at our wedding on 10.22. 19 at Disney Aulani . He is very talented with his ukulele playing and singing. Played songs that we requested for our actual ceremony. He was given free range to play whatever he chose for our toast and photo taking. He played songs from Disney's Meet the Robinsons, Coco, Beauty and the Beast, Tangled,... all very romantic and fitting for our wedding. I recall pausing each time he started a new song and thinking aww I love that song. Both adults and children at our wedding enjoyed Randy's music. He's awesome!

As part of MY dream wedding, I've known for a while that music would be central to the festivities of our special day. From the ceremony music, to the last song played by the DJ, I knew the kind of experience we wanted for our guests. When we decided on a destination wedding, my wife and I were concerned on how the communication would work. We didn't know how things would pan out planning an event a few hundred miles away. We decided to split some of the duties and we both knew music would be my area of expertise. Looking at our list of vendors, we had so many amazing choices. We had read review on Randy and listened to a few of his performances. And keeping with the experience of being on the island, we decided to have him and his ukelele serenade our guests for our ceremony. We ended up taking a planning trip a couple of months before and saw that he would be playing a set in town. From the first song, we knew we had made the right choice. We introduced ourselves during one of his breaks and could not get over how friendly he was. He treated us like family the whole time and played everything we wanted to hear. We had to keep telling ourselves, "Just one more..." I was very particular in the songs I wanted played before, during and after our ceremony and Randy was BEYOND accommodating and always quick to reply. He even took the time to learn "Remember Me" for a special remembrance ceremony we surprised our guests with. There was nothing that would stop him from making our day as magical as we had hoped. On our last day on the island, we had a goodbye dinner for our guests at another restaurant he was playing at since we just couldn't get enough. Fast forward to today and we still feel like Randy is now part of our ohana. We keep up with him and his family through social media and still look forward to reconnecting the next time we are back in Oahu. I could not recommend him more to anyone who wants an authentic, soulful experience on their special day.

We were lucky guests at a recent vow renewal at the Aulani Resort in Hawaii. Randy was the sole entertainer for the evening and trust me when I say if he is there you will not need anyone else. Randy was beyond amazing and he has incredible talent. He played continuously and his repertoire consists of a wide variety of songs that can please both young and old. My husband and I got married at the Aulani Resort and were gifted with the opportunity to have Randy Allen as our wedding musician. Since we lived in California and didn't have a chance to hear Randy live, we were worried about getting the music right for the wedding. To our luck, Randy was fantastic every step of the way. He was great at communicating and listening to what we wanted. He fulfilled every song request, even one song that he didn't know. We found Randy at one of his regular gigs in town and hired him for our daughter’s fourth birthday party. He was sooo much fun! We expected him to do (clean) pop songs but were completely shocked and pleasantly surprised that he knows just about every Disney song ever made! (We later found out that he does the Disney Aulani weddings which is why.) The kids ADORED him. He was the life of the party and had all of our daughter’s friends up dancing and grooving around. Our footage is too cute and will be special to us for a lifetime. Thank you, Randy!

AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING!!! We booked Randy two years out to ensure he wouldn't be booked by a different couple on our date. He was so easy to work with. Our emails were always answered within 24 hours and typically immediately. He sent us song lists but also ended up learning other songs specially for us. He even came early and practiced a duet that one of my bridesmaids wanted to do!! He never seemed annoyed by the constant requests of my rowdy family and even allowed some of my guests to (drunkenly) do karaoke with him! We had such a blast. Definitely recommend!

We hired Randy last minute for a private dinner party at our home. He was punctual, easy to work with, and really read the room. We wanted the music to be "captivating background music" but didn't want to offend him by asking him not to be the center of attention. My mother-in-law actually saw Randy Allen playing at the Four Seasons when she was on vacation. She sent us some videos of him and we were in awe of his sound and style from just a few short clips. Her "gift" to us was hiring him and flying him out to the east coast for our big day. He even brought his gear all the way with him and rented some more when he arrived. Randy was so professional and thorough. It really seemed his main goal was to please us. We wish we lived in Hawaii so we could see him regularly but are happy to have had him at our wedding. 10/10 would recommend!

Allen saved us last minute, we had a 70th Birthday Celebration and he adjusted his schedule to make sure he can make it! He had a beautiful music selection that the mixed crowd really enjoyed! The birthday couple loved the music so much they ended up dancing on most of the songs. Allen is also great with kids! Randy Allen is absolutely fantastic!! He was spectacular at our wedding and very professional. Randy arrived early and provided spot-on entertainment to a crowd of 400 people. The whole process with Randy was seamless and as amazing as Randy is, he was able to exceed our expectation by going above and beyond: 1) we were unsure of what songs to use for our first dance and processional, so he sent us demo clips to help us decide, 2) he was flexible on time and stayed a half an hour longer than we originally booked, 3) on the day of the wedding we decided to move up the cutting of the cake and bouquet toss up in the program and asked Randy to improvise with a couple of songs, he was awesome. I had no idea planning a wedding was so much work! Every little detail needed attention and it seemed like the to-do list never got any shorter. When it came to the music for the big day I knew that this was one aspect of the wedding that had to be absolutely perfect, and I found that perfection with Randy Allen. Randy is as professional as they come. He set the mood during our ceremony like I couldn't believe! I had a very particular set of songs that I wanted for my walk to the alter and he said that learning them wouldn't be a problem at all! I was so awestruck that he took the time to learn songs that were meaningful to me just to make my special day even more special. On top of that, the tone and volume of his voice perfectly complemented the ceremony in a way that neither me or my guests could believe. I've been to weddings before where it seems like the musician is trying to be the star of the show, but Randy was so professional it was like he knew exactly how to use his music to shine the spotlight and put the focus on the ceremony and not himself. His repertoire of songs was jaw dropping. The way he could switch between a sweet slow serenade for my first dance with my husband to uptempo popular dance music for the reception was truly amazing. It seemed like he never was even close to running out of unique music and he made it look effortless! In addition to his clearly masterful grasp of the art of putting on a top tier wedding performance, Randy seemed to be an all around great guy. There was a lot of last minute rushing around and any time my husband or I asked him for something we were met with "No problem", "I can absolutely do that", or "Don't worry, I'll make the change". It was truly stress relieving to know that he was on top of the music and it was one less thing I had to worry about. I guess that's what happens when you've been in the business so long; knowing how to adapt your performance to fit the situation is just second nature. I could not be more happy with Randy Allen and the amazing music he was able to provide for my wedding. I now understand why he comes so highly recommended. All the praise for his work is very well deserved and I'm so happy that I can share my experience of having a wedding musician who is one of the best in the business.

I expected being mother-of-the-bride for a destination wedding to be a nightmare, especially finding just the right musician. Randy Allen blew us away! Randy did a phenomenal job entertaining all of our guests at our Disney Fairy Tale Weddings vow renewal. He was very professional but yet extremely flexible with our requests. We all had a great time so much so that Randy became a part of the family that day.

We were looking for someone that could play "Canon In D" by Johan Pachelbel on a Ukulele at our wedding, in Lanikai Oahu. After quite a bit of searching online, we found Randy. Randy was quick to respond and created a short recording of Canon and it was just what we were looking for. Prior to the wedding Randy was always very responsive and worked with us to pick out songs etc. The day of the wedding Randy showed up early and was all set up before things started to get busy. He played both the ukulele and sang with his guitar during our ceremony and reception. His music and voice is really great and just an awesome guy to be at your wedding. Highly recommend.

What can I say! Randy was awesome. He learnt the song that I requested with only a few days notice. Randy played the song whilst I proposed to my fiancé on Waikiki Beach. Great voice and excellent guitar player. His communication and professionalism was amazing. Very personable and just a straight up nice guy. WOW! There are no words to express how awesome Randy was! From the beginning of our planning to the wedding day! We picked Randy because we loved what we heard on his website and read so many great reviews. Randy learned a song for us , a special one just people from Cape May would know and it was so awesome to have everyone singing along. We love all music and Randy played a whole range of songs and really got us as a couple. We had sooo many people come up to us during the wedding and after , telling us how amazing Randy was. We were worried with a small crowd that people wouldn't dance but Randy had everyone up and dancing right away. We can't thank Randy enough! Before I met my husband, I hired Randy Allen to sing at my son's birthday party over 3 years ago and everyone enjoyed him so much that I was able to convince my husband and ask him if we could have Randy sing at our wedding. Randy is AMAZINGLY talented, professional and an exceptional entertainer. From the first time I contacted him to check his availability, he was always so extremely nice! We met with him before the big day to finalize everything and he had GREAT suggestions to share. He sang all the songs we requested, especially our first dance song! It was so impressive! Randy is most accommodating and willing to work with you on what you desire. We had our ceremony at a different location from our reception and we asked him if he could sing at both and he easily accommodated our requests. He set up at both locations with no complaints! During the wedding and even weeks after, many of our guest inquired about this wonderful, talented performer we had singing. I always knew that if I ever got married, I wanted Randy Allen to sing at my wedding so it was truly a blessing to have him be a part of our special day. As Randy was finishing up, and we were transitioning into our formal program, we ran into technical difficulties, the sound just would not work. Randy offered to leave his iPad for us to use and he even offered to download all our songs. Who does that? Only a KIND, SWEET, CARING person. We are truly blessed to have had him sing at our wedding! If you are thinking about hiring Randy, we highly recommend him! You will no be disappointed! Hands down - Randy Allen is the best of the best. He certainly holds true to the praise he receives and is worth every penny; yet he is the most humble entertainer I have ever known. I was stressing out and the program was getting delayed. Randy was with me the entire time trying to troubleshoot the problem, and kept saying how bad he felt for us. He wasn't even able to eat since he was trying to help us out. He even offered to leave us one of his ipads since that was working, and offered to download all the songs for us. Can you beleive it? It wasn't even Randy's problem, but he sacrificed dinner and his time for us. Things eventually worked out when our catering manager got involved. Planning a destination wedding was always going to be a challenge When we got to the stage for music we had looked at The Knot ,this was when we came across Randy. My partner had selected Randy for me to listen to and WOW I listened over and over again and his vocals and tone were amazing.He is talented and is truly gifted with the best vocals I have ever heard . And was the best pick as we had looked at the vendor listing from our hotel As we wanted a lot of Hawaiian theme added to our day this was even better as we could only have guitar and ukulele only . He was a instant pick for us and this was only from what we heard online so you could imagine we were fingers cross we have this write . Randy had a challenge too as we wanted to select a range of songs to be sang at our reception and cocktail party and was honored when we had asked him to add a few of this selection to our playlist We had seen him at Mouna surfrider and watching him perform he sounded amazing and mesmerizing, whilst we were there he played a few songs from our playlist and did an exceptional performance so you could imagine we were even more happy we our decision. Randy set the tone for our day and hand on my heart we want to thank you . Our song that means a lot to us as we walked down the aisle you honestly did it proud and we will always remember that Not only is he humble,polite and professional he has a soulful vocal that sets any mood. Randy is No Ka Oi..THE BEST!! When we were planning our 25th Wedding anniversary from Florida to be held at the Four Seasons in Ko Olina, they highly recommended Randy Allen. We got in touch with Randy via email and text, we talked about what songs we wanted him to perform and that my sister n law who lives there wanted sing a special Hawaiian song called 'Ei Nei' during the ceremony. I was also working on a gift I wanted to surprise my husband with, so I talked to Randy about singing the 'Traditional Hawaiian Wedding Song' by Elvis and I was going to hire a hula dancer to dance to the song and when in the ceremony I wanted them to perform. Randy made it happen it was all so very beautiful, we couldn't be more happy with how everything came together that day it was flawless!! Hire him he's very easy to work with, you will not be disappointed!!

The words "The Best!" or "Awesome!" is an under statement. In fact, there are no words to describe his voice, literally!! The moment I stepped out of the car and waited to walk down the aisle, I was already in tears! My florist had to distract me and make me laugh so I wouldn't cry. LOL. Not only is his voice AMAZING, he's so laid back and accommodating to what your song choices are. If he doesn't know the song, he'll try his best to sing it. Piece of advice: He plays at Mai Tais bar, lobby bar, and other places. You should go to see him and trust me...You'll hear his voice and WILL book him!

From our initial contact until his follow up after our reception, Randy was kind, professional, very easy to work with and accommodating with our 'playlist'. Randy is the best! I work in the industry and have always admired Randy for his talent and professionalism. When it came to planning my own wedding, I knew we needed to hire him. He was so easy to coordinate with; I told him the basics of what I wanted and left the rest up to his judgement and he did a great job. He was even willing to learn two obscure songs that I wanted incorporated in the ceremony. As both a bride and a vendor, I can honestly say that Randy Allen Is a pleasure to work with. Randy's incredible talent at our beautiful Lanikai wedding was the talk of our family for weeks. We couldn't be more appreciative of his time and skill. Randy! How can I ever thank him enough for his wonderful performance at our wedding? All my guests were blown away by his selections and his talent! He even went way out of his way to accommodate my request to incorporate some Latin type dance music by forming a unique collaboration with a DJ friend of his, and playing together. Randy Allen is a great performer. We hired him to perform for our Wedding Reception cocktail hour, our first dance, and dinner hour. Our reception was at Lanikuhonua on July 5, 2016. I found him by Instagram, youtube, and recommendation from my wedding planner Neu Events. He was very responsive with all emails. We grew up on 80s and 90s music. His play list for the reception was so great. All of our guests kept asking, "where did you find him?". It was one great song after another. I was so glad he did our first dance, it made it even more special. I wish we had one camera just recording his entire performance so I can replay it over and over. I did not really get to sit and listen to him sing during cocktail hour because we were taking our formal photos, so a week later we went to Tiki's to catch him perform. He was so great and even sat down with us for a drink during his break. He was so worth it and made our reception so much more memorable.

Randy Allen, the man, the myth, the legend. I met Randy after he performed a set in Waikiki, and immediately recognized his talent and breadth of music he could play; knowing right away he would be perfect for our wedding. After getting to know Randy, through the preparation, execution, and follow up process; Randy is a true professional, a genuine person you would be honored to work with, and is now a friend. Music is vital to me; in fact it was one of the key components to our wedding; as it should be for so many events. The music sets and maintains the mood for any event. With a guest list of 130; I knew it would be a tough task for a one man band. Randy’s voice, looping abilities, and composure blew away all our guests; I had more complements about Randy than anything else at our celebration. Randy was more than receptive to our requests, performing them to a T. Not only is he great as a supplemental piece for the ceremony; cocktail hour; dinner, and dances; but he is even more impressive in his ability to carry an entire wedding dance party; playing songs that everyone recognized and loved his beautiful versions of. The crowd was so impressed; chants of “Randy, Randy, Randy” began organically… Thanks so much to Randy and Donny (Sound Technician) for making our wedding and dance party such a success, I couldn’t have imagined anything better.
