She began her career at beauty counters before traveling the country as a makeup artist with a boudoir photography brand, helping women feel confident and radiant.
Raquel has studied independently in Paris, New York, and Chicago, and has styled clients for unforgettable moments, including a destination wedding in Iceland, a corporate event with Barbara Corcoran from Shark Tank, and Laura and Ashley Bush at their cousin’s wedding in Colorado Springs. Raquel was one of the few artists that was willing to work with me on a more unconventional trial schedule (bc we live out of state and had a destination wedding), and just felt more down to earth than some other artists I contacted. She really listened to what I said, gave great input when asked, and the result was ultimately A M A Z I N G. Raquel really made me feel like my prettiest self (the Goldilocks of makeup bc it's *just right*), and I was so so happy to know that I was in her hands and didn't need to stress about how I looked on the day of my wedding. My make up and hair lasted all night (6+ hours), and I was VERY active during my wedding.
I think, no matter who you are, Raquel will make you feel at ease and bring your vision to life...or maybe even help you define it if you're difficult and ambiguous like I was. She's got a lot of emotional intelligence and feels sort of like an "every gal's gal".
We used hair services for me, 3 bridesmaids, and my MIL. We used make up services for me, my little sister, and 1 bridesmaid.

Raquel and her team arrived right on schedule and truly all of us were blown away by the results. So many of my friends were saying how they have been unhappy with professional hair/makeup at other weddings they have been in and couldn't believe the level of detail/perfection that went into their hair/makeup.
Raquel/team were warm, friendly and fit right in with the group. I felt calm the whole time getting ready and tbh I was expecting to feel stress/pressure about the HMU timeline throughout the day.

That initial communication was all it took for me to book a trial hair and makeup appointment. She did such a wonderful job that I knew I had to have her do my hair and makeup for my big day! She (and an assistant) ended up doing the hair and makeup for myself, 3 bridesmaids and two mothers. They were both incredibly professional, and did an amazing job!! Also, Raquel is very concious of time management and we worked together prior to the wedding to come up with a timeline that would work with our photo schedule. Not only is Raquel talented, she truly cares. She is great to laugh with ans hang out with as you spend precious hours before your big day getting ready. Her tools are clean, high end, and she gives you previews along the way in case there is something you want to change. I was happy with everything she did! At one point I did ask for her to give me a specific detail on my eyes, then changed my mind, and she was super patient and accommodating.
I will say, my wedding was done on a tight budget but I was willing to spend what was necessary for great hair and makeup because it lasts in photographs and it is how you show up on your big day. While Raquel is not "cheap" to work with, the value is certainly there. This is especially true when you consider how much she communicates and how great she is about promptly getting back to you leading up to your appointment.
So pleased we worked together and would highly recommend for anyone who wants to look fantastic and have a lasting look for an important event!
