Raven and Hare Photography

one hundred weddings, I had a particular style and look that I wanted for our wedding photos. After combing through nearly every photographer in the Austin area, we messaged around twenty photographers in the Austin area and interviewed about a dozen of them. After meeting with Eddie and Jordan, we immediately felt comfortable with them and knew that they were the perfect fit for us. On the day of the wedding, Eddie and Jordan captured every moment beautifully, and we were thrilled with the over 1300 photos they delivered. The photos are gorgeous. They are colorful and vibrant, and convey the feeling and mood of our wedding with perfection. And not to mention, they also convey the personalities of ourselves and all of our wedding guests to a tee. The photos look like what happened at the wedding and weren’t overly processed. Having a pair of photographers that work together so well meant that no moments were missed, and we really appreciated their help with posing and location ideas. They made sure to not only focus on us the whole time, but also photographed our guests during the ceremony and reception. We loved getting to know them throughout the process, and even went out for drinks with them after our engagement session. They reached out to us well before the wedding to see if we had any questions, get a timeline and shot list, and ensure that we were all on the same page. Additionally, the day before the wedding, they did a walkthrough of the venue with us to determine the best spots for photos. Overall, we highly recommend Eddie and Jordan for anyone looking for talented, personable, and professional photographers who will capture your wedding day perfectly. They exceeded our expectations, and we couldn't be happier with our experience working with them!

I ended up asking their option on where I should place my cake because I really wanted a good "cake cutting" photo, they gave me suggestions and moved things around day of to make sure we got the perfect shot. Very caring and professional photographers, I cant say enough great things about them!

process fun. The photos we received from them are stunning and artistic. They captured so many candid photos of our celebration along with all the little details of the venue, decor, etc. that paint the picture of the day. My favorite photos are some they took of us inside our venue before the ceremony. They captured the light in high contrast with shadows for a very artistic, editorial vibe. I know we will cherish their work for the rest of our lives and I’m so happy we were lucky enough to find them!

work with. My husband and I are from the Houston area, so we were finding it hard to plan a wedding in the Austin. Eddie and Jordan made the effort to meet with us the next time we were in town at a local coffee shop. During our meeting, they gave us tips and recommendations for planning our special day and helped ease our minds that they were a perfect fit. On the day of the wedding, Eddie and Jordan made sure we stuck to our timeline for shots, and were so accommodating through out our event. My husband and I aren’t big on taking photos and taking shots outside in the May heat was hard, but Eddie and Jordan’s fun personalities and jokes helped us get through. A few days after the wedding, we received a few highlights of some special moments of our day. We received all of the photos within two weeks and they look great! Having these so fast was a great gift as we got to relive the day through their photos. We highly recommend this couple as your photographers!!

agement shoot at a brewery was so much fun. Eddie and Jordan are great at making photo shoots enjoyable and relaxing for people who are not used to getting their photos taken. They both have great personalities and are true professionals. On the wedding day, they were great at efficiently getting the shots we wanted so we could enjoy the festivities. Having two shooters that work so well together makes things run smoothly. They went above and beyond and captured the day perfectly. We received highlights two days after the wedding and the full gallery around 2 weeks later. We are so excited about how beautiful all the photos are.

They were also incredibly fast on turnaround time for our pictures!! We were able to use our "engagement" session for our elopement instead. Within a week of the elopement we got our photos and just two days after our formal wedding, they had a gallery of 100+ pictures, highlights from the day for us. Less than two weeks later we got the full gallery! All of our family and guests love the pictures. They captured beautiful moments of our parents, siblings, nieces, nephews, and friends! The full gallery feels like I'm reliving the day! We're currently gushing over these amazing photos. I included a few pictures to show how they are creative, capture candid moments, and epic style shots! They can truly capture it ALL. Raven and Hare photography exceeded our expectations at every turn. They got us sneak peaks back extremely quickly, they were extremely organized and helpful, and they have a great creative vision and eye for photography. Eddie and Jordan run like a well-oiled machine and added to the excitement of our wedding day. Eddie stayed with the me and my bridesmaids (and men) while getting ready while Jordan tackled the guys. My husband’s party was generally an unruly bunch and I truly enjoyed watching her get them inline and get the shots she needed. They are both consummate professionals with a gift for what they do. Both of my sisters (semi-professional bridesmaids) said our wedding was the first that they had attended where the pictures ran on time and attribute that to Eddie and Jordan. They got every shot that we asked for and exercised their creativity to get us shots that we would have never dreamed of. I must add that we were a pandemic couple who rescheduled three times from 2020. Eddie and Jordan were beyond understanding and accommodating throughout that nightmare process. I could go on and on about how happy we were with them and what a delight they were to work with. I have told all of my Austin area friends about them, and my sister is using them for her wedding in Houston in September. I cannot recommend Raven and Hare Photography enough.

ed. We quickly set up a phone call and booked them for our engagement, my bridals, and our wedding. It’s the best decision we made. A lot of our budget was dedicated to photography as it is important to us both and Raven and Hare did not disappoint. All of our photos look like they could be in the worlds best magazines or photos books. It’s so hard to choose because the one goal we gave them which was capture the real us, and they did not miss one bit. Plus they make you feel special, pretty, and super comfortable. Looking through many of the photographers in the Austin area listed on The Knot, most of the photos that were highlighted were gorgeous of course but they were photos of a lot of white couples. Maybe that's a weird request but truly not every photographer is good at taking photos of black people. When we finally decided to hire Eddie of Raven & Hare, I had high hopes. Their photos are absolutely stunning. We had a phone meeting as an introduction and we vibed immediately. Good vibes are important for a potentially stressful day. Prior to the wedding we sent a list of all of the photos we felt we needed (family photos, wedding party photos, first looks, etc). We decided to shoot all of the photos before the guests arrived so we didn't have to chase anyone after the ceremony. Day of the wedding, Eddie was efficient and amazing. He was very clear in direction and with the help of our coordinator, we were able to make sure everyone was where they needed to be, when they needed to be there. The whole evening was amazing and I don't know how he worked the room like he did but it was like he was able to be in multiple places at once, capturing the moments with ease. After the wedding, while on our honeymoon we received an email with a few highlights and we were BLOWN AWAY by how the photos turned out and also how fast he was getting them back to us. You will not be disappointed and everyone who wasn't able to attend your wedding will be able to feel the love and magic emanating from each image.

We clicked with them immediately while meeting with vendors, and as a hobbyist photographer, their aesthetic was exactly what I was looking for. Neither of us enjoys posing for pictures, but they made us feel so comfortable during our engagement shoot and we both left having enjoyed the experience. Definitely recommend both. I would book them again in a heartbeat. They organized a chaotic bridal party at the right moments to get the best lighting for photos without drawing any attention to the shift in focus. Seriously impressive. I can’t say enough. They did all of the "typical" combo shots after the ceremony but the best part of flipping through the photos afterwards was seeing all of the fantastic candid shots of both people and things that really helped to capture our day for years to come. At your wedding, you want to be 100 places at once and it's just not possible....but seeing some of the photos that we weren't actually a part of helped us to appreciate the good time that our friends and family had when we weren't right with them. Eddie and Jordan are a great team. Each of them has their own strengths and they work together well. They are both very easy going and melded well with our small crew. We interviewed several photographers before selecting Raven & Hare and their approach was simply the right fit for us. During these crazy pandemic times, it's worth adding that we had to reschedule our small wedding once due to a COVID exposure and Raven & Hare were understanding and worked with us to find a new date that would work for everyone. While we had discussed that possibility and planned for it in the contract, it's nice to know that when it actually needed to happen that everything worked out smoothly and amicably for a time that could have been a total stresser.

The way they capture color without heavy filters and their dreamy editing style are exactly what we were looking for. But the wedding photos truly blew me away. g day at Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church in Austin as well as an after-session at yhe San Antonio Tea Gardens. They were really professional but also fun to be around and all the shots felt natural (except for making me look like a good dancer!). As an added suprise that we were not expecting, they gave all the photos on a wooden base flash drive with our wedding date and a design burned on the wood (along with the private digital galleries).
