ly worked with Johanna throughout the wedding planning process; she was always responsive to any calls/emails we had, made it easy to logistically work out what needed to get done for the wedding, and was direct/easy to follow what we needed to/could do while hosting there. During the last 10 days, we had the pleasure and joy of working with Carmen. She is incredibly classy, kind woman and was personable to all of us/our family. We didn't have a day-of-coordinator, but she kind of took on that role the day of the wedding. One thing we were hesitant about this venue was that the main food (hors d'oeuvres, main meal) had to provided in house. We had cultural food we wanted to include so instead we got to incorporate it with the dessert table. The only requirement is that we had to find a business with licensure to source the food from instead of bringing our own homemade. That was also understandable, however, as its meant to help protect ourselves/the venue/our guests from any potential food poisoning/liability if something went wrong. It ended up working out either way. Although most of our guests are very food motivated and great cooks themselves, everything we decided to get on our menu got rave reviews. We had some guests say it was some of the best food at a wedding they've ever had! For reference, we decided to pay per plate instead of a buffet style. I think helped the overall food experience as the guests didn't have to wait in line to get their dinner, everyone got served at the same time, and I personally feel you get higher quality control when you get food per plate. We were also told that the servers were very attentive to our guests. We also decided to get the 5 hour open house-bar because although most of our guests aren't drinkers- we still wanted it available to them if they so choose. Luckily we were even told by those who had a little bit more experience in that department say they really enjoyed the drinks and that they were really strong :) Other small perks to this venue is that the bridal suite is huge and was a great space to get ready in. The bathrooms were clean and honestly beautiful. There's also Rapunzel style balcony that overlooks the courtyard that's beautiful for photos. The staff is very accommodating to couple's needs (within reason). Only small recommendation is the the groomsmen getting-ready area needs AC instead of a fan. Overall great experience, I would highly recommend Ravisloe Country Club!
