RC Productions

I'm writing this from a customer service standpoint. Since we did not book, I chose to rate a 3 instead of a 2 as we did not experience their DJ services. We ended up not booking with RC Productions because there was no follow-up to our questions during the quoting process (i.e., we were ghosted). I was very disappointed because I read many reviews about timely responses, diligence, and professionalism, but that was not my experience. After a few delays in communication (it was Christmas and New Year's season so I understood), Ricardo ultimately stopped responding to any emails after the holiday season had passed. Instead of persisting, we moved on with a different DJ. As a client, how a vendor behaves in the initial communication stages sets a precedent for event-day expectations. Ghosting a potential client makes you wonder what event-day support would have been like.

Ricardo was so great to work with it! He was very responsive and went above and beyond to make our day great! He has such a fun energy that is a must in a DJ. His Photo Booth is so awesome and I would highly recommend him and his team for your event!

Ricardo was the DJ at our wedding on October 1, 2023. Leading up to the wedding, Ricardo was communicative and conscientious. We had at least two calls with him and he showed us how to use the DJ app (which allowed us to upload playlists, list "do not play," and "must play" songs, as well as a timeline for the wedding) and walk through our plans. On the wedding night itself, Ricardo was a consummate professional, showing up well before his start time to set up, handling the announcements, and getting everyone onto the dancefloor after dinner. We and our guests had a blast and danced the night away!

Ricardo was amazing to work with and we received many compliments from our guests and families about his music and positive attitude at our wedding. Planning was easy as he showed us how to use his planning app to add our timeline and music selections and he followed all of the instructions we put in. He provided ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner music as well as announcing the grand march, cake cutting, speeches, and first dances. My family also has a lot of traditions with music and announcement requests which we let him know ahead of time and he was incredibly accommodating to everyone involved with those. When it came to party music he did a great job reading the crowd to blend our must plays with other crowd favorites and made sure the beats lined up for seamless transitions between songs. We also had the photobooth option with a photo guest book and it was so fun to look back at all the photos in the book the next day. I would 100% recommend Ricardo for any event but especially for something as important as a wedding, he truly treats the event with care.
