e. Overall we are happy with how the day went. There were some little things left with an “oh...that’s not what we expected” feeling. At the time of booking, DJ Rocko informed us had another engagement that morning and was unable to do our ceremony but another DJ would be there. We were okay with this and the other DJ arrived and was set up with plenty of time to spare. We requested a cordless microphone for the ceremony. When I got to the alter I asked the officiant if they gave her one and they had not. We had to shout our vows so our guests could hear us. During the reception DJ Rocko keep things moving nicely and checked in with us frequently. We wish he had announced things with some notice such as the cake cutting and dollar dance, he just said, “we’re doing the ___, now.” For cutting the cake, he announced that we were going to do it then immediately started the cake cutting song we selected. My husband, photographer, and I were looking around not sure what to do because DJ Rocko never said anything more and we were waiting for more guests to come over. I told my husband the song I selected was playing and we waited, awkwardly, for another minute and decided to go ahead and cut the cake. Many guests were disappointed that they missed it. Perhaps when we were planning we should have been more explicit in saying that we wanted a song’s notice for upcoming events such as, “after this song the bride and groom are going to cut the cake in the dinning room” with another announcement as the song ended. But we didn’t know we needed to request that. My husband and I had a great time dancing all night. DJ Rocko seemed to be more of an announcer than a crowd mover. Overall, RD Entertainment was a pleasure to work with through the whole process. He responded quickly to our emails, was dressed professionally, had a clean and organized set up, his equipment worked properly and the sound quality was great, and he was always very positive and genuinely excited to work with us.

!). Leading up to the wedding, he was extremely responsive and easy to work with, and I thought his fee was very reasonable. On the day of the wedding, what I was most impressed with was how little attention I had to pay to him (that's probably going to sound weird, but for anyone that has gone through a wedding as the bride, this is VERY important, as leading up to the wedding/on the day of, everyone wants you to micromanage them and direct them to do things). It was SO relieving to have someone just executive things perfectly, of their own volition, and to have one less thing to worry about. For example, during the rush of getting ready I didn't even think about wondering if everything for the ceremony was ready to go, but when I walked out to go down the aisle I heard music playing, and saw Rocko, and thought wow, I totally forgot that I could have been worrying about whether he showed up or not, because he had gotten there on time, figured out where to go, and set up, all without me ever knowing. During the ceremony as well, he did a great job of being present and checking in to see if we had any requests, without being overbearing. In terms of entertainment factor, I can say that every time I looked out at the dance floor during the reception, it was full and people were having a great time. He responded to requests dynamically, always keeping the flow of the party going but making sure people got their songs played, and he was even able to meet the atypical requests of some of the guests (there was a large Russian/Israeli contingent, and he had all their foreign music requests ready to go!). I honestly don't have a single bad thing to say about Rocko or the wedding entertainment. He was awesome, and I would strongly recommend you go with RD Entertainment if you want to have a great ceremony/reception!

He was able to answer questions and provide feedback quickly and informatively well in advance of the wedding. He even answered questions before finally contracted with him. During the planning process, he provided recommendations and thoughts, while ultimately allowing me to make the final decisions on music and song selections. RD Entertainment provided music for the ceremony and the reception. His flexibility allowed me to extend the reception an hour longer, and make a few adjustments during the actual reception. He checked in with me frequently enough to make sure things were going as planned, but not so much to feel that I was pulled away from my guests. The music played was exactly what I had hoped for with appropriate variety from requests to keep everyone dancing. The volume was appropriately maintained for the venue and the crowd. From my perspective everything appeared to go perfect regarding the music for the ceremony and the reception! I would recommend Rock Dorsey with RD entertainment to anyone looking for a DJ service that is professional, intelligent and focused on the customers (bride /groom/ and crowd) wishes and does a great job.
