About me...
My name is Patrick (Reachout) Coll, I am a NY based DJ, originally from Edinburgh Scotland. I create bespoke sets for each event, provide a state of the art Evol 50 1000W sound system with microphones, can handle all your announcements and provide insurance.
I truly believe in the power of music to bring magic to any occasion and treat every event as an opportunity to create a once in lifetime experience for everyone involved. Having the power to create impactful memories in peoples' lives is why I DJ and love it!
Be able to connect people from different generations and demographics on the sacred space of the dance floor is a duty and honor I cherish. This is especially true with wedding work and I view the reception as being a powerfully important and integral part of the whole ceremony.
The process for curating the music for an event begins weeks beforehand. I work closely with clients to put together bespoke playlists, perfect for the occasion. This part of the job I love because it introduces me to new people and music from around the world!

Reachout (Patrick Coll) is a NY based events DJ who specializes in curating unique bespoke playlists which he delivers in passionate, eclectic and memorable mixes. Originally from Edinburgh Scotland, he has over 20 years experience DJing and is also a recording artist and producer. With an enormous music collection, and knowledge of the treasures lurking therein, he is able to draw upon his experience and musical know-how to appeal to a very broad range of age groups and demographics. He famously keeps the dance floor full all night and is also comfortable with MCing the party and making announcements etc.

p with the venue about their sound system, and when he knew he’d have to bring his own equipment, he gave us a reasonably revised invoice. He has an expansive knowledge of music genres. He did a great job on the wedding day. The venue had two different spaces, one for cocktails/dancing, one for dinner. He matched the mood for each. We had a huge age range in guests—15 to 91, and he kept everyone happy. He played Irish, Christmas, 60s/70s rock, jazz and dance music smoothly over the course of the afternoon/evening. He also introduced the speeches and first dance, and he worked with photographer to help coordinate table/group photos. It was very positive to work with Patrick. Enjoy!

Almost everyone who commented on the evening said (aside from how great the bride looked) that the music was amazing and it felt like the party of the decade. And that was in no small part because Reachout read the crown and had everyone enthusiastically dancing, connecting with the crowd (from multi-generational to cross-cultural to cross-gender) until we closed out the venue. That takes a DJ with extensive musical knowledge and a feel for when the time is right to mix up what’s on the decks. Reachout worked with us on a playlist, hit our special tracks, but brought so much more to make our wedding fabulous. Patrick’s warm and engaging personality, experience as an artist, and passion for music makes his performance as a DJ unforgettable.

form unto itself. He got the entire room on the floor, even those who typically shy away from dancing. His presence behind the decks is so warm and engaging, when I looked out at the room it was a sea of smiles and moves. His musical knowledge is extensive pending him the rare ability to work with almost any client. A large portion of my time is spent finding and hiring DJ’s for events, in a perfect world I would just use REACH. My confidence that he can make that critical time of an event unforgettable is beyond compare. For the wedding I am referring to, REACH DJ’d sets on several nights, always mixing it up it with the same awesome result. He is a pleasure to work with to boot!

twice due to recent events, Patrick always kept in touch and worked with us up until we were finally able to celebrate our wedding with others. During our initial meet we discussed the venue and what music we were looking for and closer to the date, we sent over a list of songs and discussed timeline specifics. I will be the first to admit my music list was all over the place...from some classic 80s songs to recent alternative/electronic to 90s/00s R&B and HipHop. Patrick seemed completely unfazed and he definitely delivered! The music was spot on and he managed to get a group of people who rarely venture onto the dance floor out and enjoy themselves. It was clear as day that Patrick is a professional and has loads of experience under his belt from the planning, the flow day-of, and most importantly the music selection/transition. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Patrick to anyone.

very quickly that he was a charming and genuine person, and his pitch and introduction were very visibly genuine. He really stood out against other vendors I spoke with, especially the ones that were organized as "entertainment companies" -- pitches from those places generally came off too rehearsed, formulaic, and sales-y. On the wedding day, Patrick's execution was precise and impeccable. Working with the day-of coordinator, he knew exactly where to set up and when, making introductions and announcements with perfect precision. As for the playlist, oh my, I was completely blown away. I had provided a playlist to use for inspiration, and he completely nailed it based on my suggested playlist. It was exactly the kind of music we were looking for, and I honestly could not have chosen a better playlist myself. All the guests had an amazing time. I would even say that for many of our good friends, I have never seen them having that much fun. For my wife and me, it was truly the best day of our lives and the most fun we've had. He does a great job of getting to know what the client wants and building out from there. He is also a great MC, never over the top or cheesy. He will always keep the ambiance elegant, fun and cool. irst meeting I was immediately impressed by Patrick;s warmth humor, and professionalism, and by his ability to adapt to any age group. Patrick showed endless patience helping me with my playlist for the night, displaying an encyclopedic knowledge of music and genres. Those 20 years of experience really show!! On the night Patrick arrived promptly with a terrific sound system and equipment. He did a great job as MC, displaying a rare gift for remaining totally focused while seeming completely relaxed. I had left the music for dancing up to Patrick and he certainly knew what to play as he had the whole room up on the floor from first song to last.
