Jules of Readyluck was everything we were looking for in our wedding photographer. As people who don't like to be photographed and who can be very awkward in front of a camera, we were put at ease by Jules' gentle direction - and she has an eye for candids and shots that truly pulled out our personality. She listened to our vision with care, guided us where we had questions, and delivered beautiful photographs that we love to revisit to relive our special day. Also, Jules and Kate were both lovely to work with and be around - a key when you're spending 8+ hours with someone! We both heartily recommend Jules and Readyluck.
We were lucky enough to have Jacqueline Schlossman from READYLUCK photograph our wedding in May 2023 and our photos are absolutely stunning. Jacqueline applies a photojournalistic approach to her work which felt much more natural to us than many of the other photographers we vetted. She excels at capturing candid moments and the feeling of the day on camera. If you're looking for a whole bunch of classic posed portraits you might want to go with someone a bit more traditional (though we did get a bunch of those, too!) but for us it was imperative to have a photographer who was able to document the day as it unfolded (and edit the photos to match). The only negative was in the chaos of the day we did miss one integral family photo but the rest of the photos outweigh this mishap. We'd absolutely recommend Jacqueline and READYLUCK!
We were lucky enough to have Jules Stevens photograph our multi-day wedding at the W Loft and the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens and we highly recommend her! Throughout the planning process, we appreciated that both Jules and the READYLUCK office (Florence) were available to answer our questions and make vendor recommendations (videographers). After our wedding, we were so thrilled to get a sneak peek only a week after the wedding and the full album shortly after. Jules captured all of the most important pieces as well as many candid moments in beautiful photos. Her upbeat positive attitude, professionalism, and attention to detail helped us feel comfortable and relaxed, despite a rainy wedding day. We highly recommend Jules!
Eddie Winter was our photographer and he was absolutely INCREDIBLE. Truly made the whole photography experience so fun. He was casual, funny, comfortable, helped pose us without it feeling tense. I could not recommend Eddie more highly. Plainly, he was just awesome. He showed me a couple previews throughout the day and I cannot wait to see the whole album! My new-husband and I thank you for making the experience so wonderful.
I was ecstatic to have Eddie from READYLUCK be my wedding photographer! His talent behind the camera captured so many incredible and precious moments with an artistic touch. From the candid shots to the formal portraits, all of our photos turned out so beautifully. Not only was Eddie professional and attentive, but he also made my husband and me feel very comfortable throughout the entire day. I highly recommend Eddie and the READYLUCK photographers!!!
Eddie at Readyluck was a dream wedding photographer. We found his wedding photography even before we set our date and found our wedding venue and were beyond thrilled when we found out he was available for our wedding. Eddie has the exceptional ability to capture both traditional portrait shots and candid moments with an artful eye. As we continue to look through our photo gallery we are transported back to the best memories from our wedding day. Look no further than Eddie and Readyluck as their photography, level of professionalism and communication made every step of the process a joy.
Jules Stevens was amazing to work with! Jules, thank you for 1) art directing our day - helping us pose, smile, and relax through couple and family portraits (and doing it so incredibly efficiently while still keeping us on time), and 2) for capturing candids of our family, friends, and us throughout the evening. We just know your photos are going to capture the essence of the evening perfectly, and we'll be looking and re-looking at them for years to come in an attempt to re-live the best night of our lives!
We worked with Sasha for our wedding day at the Art Factory and she did an amazing job! Leading up to the wedding, we had several check-ins with Sasha to prepare, which made us feel comfortable and supported. The ReadyLuck site also offers a great client portal to exchange information. We were nervous about having our photos professionally taken as we felt awkward in front of the camera, but Sasha and her assistant photographer made us feel so comfortable. Each and every photo came out absolutely beautiful!
Eddie from READYLUCK was absolutely incredible on our wedding day -- we've been so excited about how great he was that it's taken almost a year to write our reviews! We got married May 2021 just as things were opening back up and were keeping it small, so Eddie one-man-banded the entire day and was a true superhero. Our portraits are so artful and we could tell he truly wanted to capture "us." Throughout the night, any time anyone was having a moment they wanted a snap of, somehow he was already there, but also never in the way - an absolute ninja and also just fun to have around all day. Highly, highly recommend. Thank you Eddie and READYLUCK!
We got READYLUCK's recommendation through our venue (The Liberty Warehouse). After checking their website out and after speaking to a few possible photographers, we went with Eddie who was so great! My husband and I are a quiet couple when it comes to taking pictures, so we wanted someone who takes candids, not posed photos, and that is what Eddie is all about! He enjoys catching the moments without forcing them, and just lets the happiness and love happen naturally. When we met Eddie initially at a coffee shop, we loved his work! His shots were so natural and beautiful. Leading up to the day of the wedding, Eddie and I made a game plan of how to tackle the wedding day since we were traveling from the hotel to the church (an hour away) to the venue (another hour away) , and we did do a first look...so, that left us with limited time to get all the shots in. But, we did! Eddie and his second shooter were both respectful, professional and efficient. We recently got out sneak peek photos, and they were more beautiful and perfect that I expected! I highly recommend READYLUCK to shoot your wedding! Photos are timeless and perfect.
Readyluck was fantastic. When we first contacted them, they set us up with a variety of potential photographers to meet with. After interviewing two, we settled on Jacqueline. Hands down the best wedding decision I made. She was so fun and nice and easy to work with. I do not like posing for pictures but she made the entire experience easy and pleasant. She really listened to us when we described what we wanted. Prior to the wedding, she presented us with creative ideas for rain plan photos and was very realistic and upfront about what was and was not doable. She set up a fantastic "first look" location and had tissues at the ready when I started spontaneously crying in the cab on the way there. She was also highly organized and helped us set up a great timeline for the day that allowed us to get all of the photographs we wanted in various locations. She made helpful suggestions about transportation and scheduling. I highly recommend Readyluck and Jacqueline in particular.
Good
Jacqueline was great to work with, my wife and I are not used to the spotlight and Jacqueline knew exactly what to do & say to keep us grounded. I said to her that it didn't matter how many pictures she took as long as I got "that one", (you know that one which just stands out and shows how beautiful the day was & how in love we are to keep forever & ever).....well months on & I'm still trying to figure out my favourite because they're all "the one"
One of the absolute best decisions we could have made was to work with Lindsay Hite from ReadyLuck. Her style of photography is brilliant and unique, even for NY weddings. Our wedding was 2 weeks ago, and she's already shared a handful of sneak peeks from that special day that have me itching for more. The day itself was beautiful and I am beyond confident that Lindsay captured it in the most magnificent way. She even went above and beyond by scouting places throughout our venue, The Foundry, to take couples portraits of my groom and me. In addition to being a fabulous photographer, Lindsay was also so incredibly great to work with from a personal standpoint. She was both fun and calming to be around, easy-going and very respectful of everyone. Lindsay was also very flexible by travelling from Boston to NY one weekend to have lunch with our families and tour the venue and meet our wedding planner and florist four months before the wedding. She was so easy to talk to during the planning process, the day of and has continued after our wedding. The ReadyLuck team (and Lindsay!) is truly one of the most talented group of photographers you'll come across.
I just wanted to take a minute and let you know how happy my wife I are with Eddie’s work! He has been a real pleasure to work with and we have seen some of the photos from the night already and they are beautiful! He was so calm and easy going the night of the wedding it was such a treat. The day of our wedding was 96 degrees with 100% humidity so we had to shorten how far we could walk for portraits and he just went with it, no problem what so ever. On top of that he took portraits in so many places with so many different backgrounds it looks like we spent 4 hours taking photos of just the two of us.
I can’t say enough about how happy we have been with ReadyLuck and Eddie specifically. We can’t wait to see all the photos when they are ready as I am sure they will be great.
We had Laura-Chase and she was incredible. She was a calming presence throughout the process and is a true artist. The photographs are lovely and captured our day so well (or at least how we envisioned our day!). She was energetic, detailed, creative, and professional--all anyone could ask for.
We LOVED Readyluck! So creative and gorgeous shots. Jonathan was a pro along with his team. They have a great perspective and really tell a story through photography.
Shane was such an absolute pleasure to work with on our wedding day and engagement shoot. You can tell he truly loves what he does and his enthusiasm is palpable. We had such a great time working with him, and he made us feel totally comfortable being ourselves in front of the camera. Shane is fresh, young and energetic and doesn't treat your day as "just another wedding" We can't thank him enough!
She was very sweet (her name was Mindy Best.. she works for Shane Carpenter... I would recommend Shane, but I'm not sure I would hire Mindy again) and what pics she did take were beautiful.;Most of the pics are candid, which are nice, but there are only about 3 or 4 pics of me (the bride) by myself, only 2 pics of the groom by himself, only about 4 pics of the bride and groom together, no pics of the bride and the ringbearer or the groom and the ringbearer, or the bride and her father. Mindy is very sweet and takes great pics, but she just didn't take any initative and tell people what to do or think of what pics we would really care about in the future... we got a lot of candid's with my mouth wide open, my mom's rear end (clothed of course ;-)), and lots of people at the reception that we don't want to have pics of forever.
shane is AMAZING. our proofs were turned around in under two weeks and we couldn't believe the amount he shot! over 2000 photos of greatness. he was worth every penny.;absolutely nothing...we would recommend him to EVERYONE.
He was easy going.;The photos were poor. He did not capture the moment in most photos. We didn't even have a good wedding portrait on the church altar.
He was wonderful to work with and the pictures were amazing. I received so many compliments.
Shane was amazing. He blened in very well with ur guests. Hima nd his assistant were unobtrusive he was patient (we had a wedding party of 24) and he created a beautiful story of our special day.
