We had 1,700 roses hanging from the ceiling - and not a single one fell! - and it was truly magic. Rebecca also pivoted last minute to decorate an entire staircase with flowers - it was perfect. Rebecca is a creative genius - we feel so lucky to have had her masterpieces at our wedding. We couldn't be happier.

She also went above and beyond when - about 2 weeks before our wedding - she realized the branches we had chosen for our centerpieces were starting to bloom differently. To make sure we were still happy with them she took the time to personally go to the floral market and create a new sample for us to come in to see at no charge. I think it is a testament to how dedicated and invested Rebecca is to her work that she personally showed up the day of the wedding to put everything together with her team. This was yet another example of how Rebecca attends to and invests in every detail. I cannot thank Rebecca and her team enough for making my wedding so beautiful and memorable. amazing as well as super nice! Last May, she walked into my store and asked me how my wedding planning was coming along. I told her we had a new plan & that we were in need of a new venue. Rebecca mentioned that she did weddings at her flower shop. I sent the info over to my fiancée and we agreed that Rebecca Shepards Floral Design is where we were going to get married. Meghan & I got married on June 10th of 2018. We asked her to create our wedding flowers & with minimal guidance, she created beautiful arrangements that fit perfectly with our vision. Rebecca and her staff set up the space that in a way that was both beautiful & welcoming. We could not have been happier with everything that Rebecca did for us, venue & flowers included.

he most beautiful bridal bouquet for me with deep purples and succulents and thistle--something I'd never seen anywhere else and was completely unique. Same with decor, my bridesmaids' bouquets, and the groom/groomsmen boutonnières. Rebecca and her team do gorgeous work and am sure they elevate any wedding they work on. Our only complaint, which unfortunately left a bad taste in our mouths, was that we had discussions with her team about collecting back their vases for the flowers after the event, but that our wish was for our guests take the flowers we paid for. Unfortunately, flowers were taken out of our guests hands, including my mother in law who paid for the flowers, saying that it was our wish that the flowers went to a nearby hospital. I'm guessing this was a miscommunication on the staff's side from another event, but was definitely never discussed about ours and never clarified on-site before removing them from my guests. We were really disappointed by this and never received an apology, so it did rub us wrong.

fit. She was able to work with the budget we needed and helped to bring all my ideas to life. Flowers may not be as important to some but for me it was one of the most important aspects of our party. Everything was beautiful. Something that was a must for me was to do a suspension over the dance floor and what Rebecca created was perfect. She has a lot of experience and works closely with other venders. If you do not want your cookie cutter wedding, this florist is for you.

after meeting with her I decided to move forward with her. I did not evaluate a lot of vendors (it's part of the reason I decided to use a planner), and I'm so happy we worked with Rebecca for our event. We held the wedding at a loft space in NYC so there was a lot of blank space and room for creativity. I gave Rebecca somewhat limited direction (lots of greenery, somewhat wild, but still sophisticated) and she KILLED it. Beyond the centerpieces, bouquets and boutonnieres Rebecca constructed a welcome wreath for us as well as an amazing hanging structure for our altar. Both absolutely wowed everyone there. In addition to the flowers Rebecca was great on-site, ensuring we had a plan for things like votives and other decor. I fully trusted her to do her thing and couldn't have been happier with the results. She's just a great person to work with and talk to - lots of fun, but knows her stuff and delivers beautiful work. She has a new eye that is clean, fresh, and beautiful when it comes to flowers. I would recommend using Rebecca for a wedding or any special event. he is also the most thoughtful, understanding, helpful, and hard-working vendor out there. She crafted an online inspiration book for us, answered any and all questions I had within usually 24 hours, and she even spoke with me on the phone numerous times to flesh out my sometimes haphazard ideas with patience and care. At one point she even offered to go to the floral market the morning OF my wedding (IE at 6 AM) to change out the whole set of centerpiece flowers because I had second thoughts about the look of them against the table cloths. This all goes to say she is amazing. She is truly passionate about her work and she got me excited about it too. She went above and beyond for the cocktail centerpieces (and above and beyond what we paid her to do) because she was inspired by her creations. What other vendor does that??? I don't know many people like Rebecca. I know she had us in mind the entire time and she just planned our wedding flowers with precision, care, and focus. People raved about the cocktail and reception centerpieces (I mean RAVED). Walking into my reception was everything I could have imagined and more. My bouquets were stunning, everything was stunning. Seriously, Rebecca is amazing, and I wouldn't recommend any vendor more. If ever I get to throw another party, she's top on my list.

g with her resulted in an online ‘book’ of ideas for flowers that I was able to look through and then discuss with her, whittling down the ideas to my eventual floral plan for my wedding. She has an eye for beautiful arrangements, and can be as traditional or as creatively modern as you want. She also has amazing props (birdcages, suitcases, etc.) that can add some character to your event. But, most importantly, she listens to everything you tell her, and makes copious notes. For me, her attention to detail resulted in a lovely surprise at my bridal shower, where my late-grandmother’s favorite flower (a gardenia) was highlighted in a touching arrangement, thanks to a behind-the-scenes conversation between her and my maid-of-honor. And, sitting next to me at my seat at the reception was a beautiful, single gardenia – a touching surprise from Rebecca, letting my grandmother be there in spirit for my wedding day. Thank you Rebecca, for making my wedding beautiful, and for being such a thoughtful person – your touching gift to me was unforgettable.

our highest expectations. She is very sincerely a floral genius -- she has a magical sense for texture and color that literally makes you want to gush. I was especially blown away by how Rebecca used her intuition to deal with two tricky situations: 1) I had no idea how to describe what I wanted. I don't think I really knew what I wanted, but I pointed to flowers that I liked and to ones that I didn't, and somehow Rebecca just got it. She compiled an extremely helpful online photo album, and we commented back and forth to get the colors, types of flowers, and composition just right. 2) My mom and I couldn't quite agree on the colors. Mom insisted on purple and orange together, and I was worried it would clash. Rebecca listened carefully to what each of us was looking for, and both my mom and I were blown away with the final result. She perfectly nailed it -- we had rich, lush oranges and purples that created a warm vibe, and it definitely did not clash. In fact, I was completely obsessed with my bouquet....it was so ME, even though Rebecca had only met me once or twice before! All of the flowers were so rich with both bold colors and soft yet crisp textures. 3 months later, I am still jealous of whoever got to take it home. The floral displays, the corsages, the girls' bouquets, the men's flowers -- it was all just exquisite. So beautifully done. Lovely little details like ribbon around the bouquets, held by pins; the tulip leaves hiding the "mechanics" of the gorgeous square-vased table decorations; she even made a gorgeous "tree" decor made from whimsical branches and orchids, which she attached individually by hand. Rebecca is honestly a flower genius, and her flowers were the most important part of the whole celebration. I could just gush forever.

flower choices were really beautiful and unique. My guest couldn't stop complimenting me on them. ' Rebecca is also really nice and accommodating to work with. She was even willing to make a special trip to my apartment to drop of the bridal bouquets since we were doing pictures beforehand in the park. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone getting married.

cca made a beautiful chuppah that she provided at an amazing price. She actually said that she quoted a price that ended up being below the total cost of the chuppah, but that she would stick to the price she had quoted initially. I thought this action was extremely nice and professional of her. We planned our New York City wedding while we were both living in San Diego California, so email and internet communication were key to our planning efforts. Rebecca made a Google Web Album so that she and I could easily share photos of ideas for colors, flowers and table arrangements. She also was extremely responsive via email and phone throughout our whole mutli-month planning process. The end result was beautiful flower arrangements for myself, the ceremony, the cocktail hour, and the reception. She also provided wonderful antique books for our reception tables which, and an assortment of interesting vases for many of the arrangements. We could not have been more pleased with our choice of florist.

wedding: -The boutonnieres were perfect. -My bouquet had many beautiful flowers, in just the loose arrangement I'd wanted, but some incongruous yellow ones that I snapped off before the ceremony. Once I did that, it was perfect. -The centerpieces were in colors that I didn't like — too many colors, all over the spectrum, and some verging on pastel, where I wanted strong & simple colors — reds, whites, and purples. -The chuppah was simple and beautiful. In retrospect, I should have spent more time discussing my color scheme with her, and less time researching kinds of flowers. Like most people planning a wedding, I'd never ordered flowers on a grand scale before, and I didn't know where to start. I do recommend Rebecca Shepherd, as she is knowledgeable, responsible, and sweet. But I would urge you to do a little more homework than I did — perhaps ask to see a sample centerpiece, explicitly agree on all flowers that will be used (or at least, agree that all flowers will be in the spirit of the ones you've discussed), so as to avoid last minute surprises.

h she and the bride can submit inspiration pictures of flowers, arrangements, and decor so that Rebecca can get a full picture of what the bride's vision is. I found this collaborative process so wonderful and helpful as I planned my wedding and as my vision evolved. I ended up with the bouquets and table arrangements of my dreams!
