Honestly, she played such a vital role and was so pivotal in our smooth-sailing, fun, successful wedding day that I can even go as far as saying that our big day would not have been the same without her. As cliche as it sounds, my now-husband and I are really awkward together in front of cameras but somehow, she made us look so comfortable and effortless during the shoots and in our photos. And an added bonus: they send a sneak peek of the photos almost immediately after your big day. To her future clients, you are super lucky to have her as your photographer!!!

. We did an Adventure Session with Rebekah in Joshua Tree National Park for my husband and I’s anniversary. We get anniversary pictures every year to celebrate another year of love and commitment! Rebekah flew out to do the shoot for us. She woke up early, while it was still dark out, to make sure that we got the perfect lighting for our shoot. She even scouted out the perfect location for the shoot. She is the most caring individual and will go above and beyond to make sure your pictures are everything you want them to be. If you have ideas, she will work with you to elevate whatever you have in mind and make them more than you could ever have imagined. I went thinking we would get nice photos, but I left with such fantastic photos I wish we could do it every weekend. I also felt AMAZING about myself. I’ve been in front of the camera many times, but Rebekah has a unique way of making you feel like the most beautiful person in the whole world. She doesn’t care what you look like or how perfect you are, she just connects with your soul. She hypes you up and makes you fall in giddy love with your partner all over again. Her love for her work creates such an electric vibe and you can’t help but be so excited and joyful just like she is. Your feet could be hurting, you could be sweating, hungry, tired, or cold but you would never know because of how much fun you were having. Rebekah is our lifelong photographer, and I wouldn’t choose anyone else in the world to document all of life’s special moments.

to COVID, rescheduled for 2021, and to completely replanned. Rebekah was so helpful and gracious throughout the process and eliminated SO much stress for us. Rebekah and her husband Derric also did our engagement photos at sunrise in chilly February of 2020 in Washington, D.C. and made an entire day out of it exploring the city, laughing, stopping for coffee to keep warm along the way. We knew by the end of the day Rebekah was more than just a wedding vendor, we were gaining a friend! When our wedding day finally arrived, Rebekah and Chels made it so fun for us and our bridal party and very stress free. Attending our cocktail hour was super important, Rebekah and Chels got us there - they moved so quickly while capturing stunning shots and really helped ease all the crazy family dynamics. ’m horrified and must warn all parents, don’t let your daughters fall for, or you pay for this poor photography! Ask yourself- after spending thousands of dollars on your daughter’s dress, how happy would you be if you couldn’t see any of its beautiful details and fabrics in the pictures?! Her prices are outrageously high for poor quality. I’m amazed to hear what they paid. It’s probably more than what most brides’ wedding gowns cost who hire her! I was told she was very rude and perturbed during the reception; many who attended also felt the same. Almost all of her pictures are ‘blown out’ overexposed, and quite a few were also shifted off-center to the right! A constant tendency to overexpose caused a color shift to cooler blue temperature in some photos. All Sky is overexposed. All white is highly overexposed. She apparently likes tall trees in the background, making the wedding party(s) look like a chorus line in the woods; posing so far away you wonder who is who. A ‘gift wedding book’ supplied by her to the bride – and only she selects the pictures! This is the book I saw. This bride tried yet had no say in what pictures were chosen. She doesn’t really like the pictures Rebekah chose! Looked at her website. Did some more research. This was funny. I found one video telling her viewers that she ‘shoots in Kelvin' making it sound like she does something special for all her unknowing brides. Rebekah- ALL well-trained photographers shoot in Kelvin. That’s basic light color 101. Automatic white balance buttons do that, but you choose to do it manually! Wow. Why don’t your pictures look like they should then? She used to be Rebekah Kauffman Photography. Pictures there are just as poorly shot and overexposed. Rebekah said she Photoshop-s all of the pictures before she releases them. Wow! Hard to believe because anyone would have to adjust all the originals drastically to balance the overexposed histograms of the photos! In closing, yep there’s a lot of 5-star ratings here. This is certainly not one of them. I’m shocked there are not more one-stars. I’m here to help those of you thinking to select this photographer. Please- do not! It’s a perfect example of what social media and peer pressure can do – good for some (Rebekah) and hurting others (the brides and their parents). Don’t be one of the others. Your daughters are obviously influenced by cute social media hype so they can ‘be like everyone else’ who hired her! Poses are just average, some are ‘artsy’ as she promotes. Keep looking! Find a photographer with a well-balanced, evenly exposed portfolio. Look, most of all, for the wedding dress details! In fact, look at ALL of the details in other photographers’ pictures. Take it from a seasoned photographer: If you truly like this ‘style’ then go for it. In my opinion, she’s below average. She overcharges. She greatly overexposes. She’s not a happy photographer after you hire her. She may have experience, but doesn’t provide quality vs. price. That is the ultimate measure! I’m sure her destination shoots are also outrageously priced. There’s no detail in her overexposed photography. Remember- you want to see those beautiful, expensive gowns! After looking at their book, I closed it and felt like I just got out of an eye exam with dilated pupils.

My husband and I live in North Carolina but got married in Pennsylvania, so we were so limited with availability, and Rebekah worked so well with our schedules, shot our engagement shoot in 20º weather, shot our wedding with a torn shoulder, and had the best, most easy-going attitude through it all! On the day of our wedding, our timeline got totally thrown off because our makeup artist took longer than expected, our family wanted to add a bunch of portraits we did not plan for, and Rebekah and Chelsea were super flexible and worked with our changes with such positivity and the photos came out perfect - you would never know we had any issues at all! I even had issues after the ceremony with some eyelash glue causing redness and watering in my eye and you would never know when looking at the photos. Seriously so happy with Rebekah's work and will be using her in the future for an adventure session for sure!

ebekah is always asking for your input on photo opportunities, making sure she doesn’t miss a beat on your big day. She is committed, driven, and will make you feel like you are in good hands even if you’re nervous about photos! Not only is she the kindest person and such a light to everyone she meets, she is also GIFTED, and will create moments and photos that you will always cherish. Her romantic and timeless style is hard to come by, and I’m so grateful we chose her to document our wedding day.

I work with photographers all the time and I believe her work is that of a $1000 photographer at most once you look at full galleries. Now she's listing her starting price at 6k LOL. She is good at overselling herself, that's for sure. And now she's selling makeup on IG with selfies too. FYI professional photogs don't do stuff like that and focus on their craft. In my opinion Rebekah delivers overexposed, way out of focus and blurry pictures, throws on a preset, and is proud of it. The failures in composition, positioning, and framing are readily evident to me in the group shots. She even recently advertised that her couples should like blurry wedding photos on her Instagram. Not sure if you do, but as a potential customer I definitely would not want blurry pictures of my wedding. Turns out this so-called professional doesn't even carry professional photographer's insurance, which tells you everything you already need to know because that's a standard in this industry. Someone who has been photographing 150+ weddings like she claims she has should know that. Her websites and Instagram are full of grammar and spelling mistakes too... yuck. AVOID AVOID AVOID

I cannot imagine our wedding day without her! She made everything so easy both leading up to the day and day of, and helped everyone to feel at home in front of the camera. Her second shooter, Chelsea, was super helpful as well! They even went so far as to wade into a giant field of tall grass and wildflowers to capture the boho vibe I was going for… I mean come on! And we are absolutely IN LOVE with how the photos turned out. They are exactly what I had been picturing in my head for forever of what I wanted our special day to look like! Because we all know the day itself is a blur in our minds… these photos help me to relive the magic daily and I am so grateful! Five stars!

oot, on the beach with her, was the next best thing. Boy was it an amazing experience. We traveled a couple of hours to get down to the location and right before we arrived a big storm was rolling in. It was incredibly disappointing. My husband took off of work I had spent money on hair and makeup, and it would have been disappointing to have to reschedule. However, Rebekah was quick to jump into action. She worked with us to move up the shoot and start early, she was communicative, understanding, flexible, and incredibly kind. She is such a joy to work with. We both don’t mind being in front of the camera but the experience with Rebekah was like nothing we’ve ever experienced before. She helped us get instantly comfortable and move freely in front of the camera. She was encouraging, full of energy, and down for anything. There weren’t any of those stale poses or awkward pauses that so many time happen for couples. I’m an Event Planner, so I work with many different photographers and get to see the process often, this was incredibly special. Rebekah is so talented at her craft and the love of what she is doing pours out. She is incredibly knowledgeable, and we had an amazing time. We felt like we had known her our entire lives. She stayed until we got every picture we wanted, didn’t rush us or make us feel like we were on a time limit, asked if we had ideas, and went above and beyond which I find is rare these days. If you are on the fence about investing in photos or hiring Rebekah, get off the fence and do it. I promise you will not regret it.
