Congratulations on your engagement! We love weddings! The idea that everyone you love will be in the same room to celebrate you two is magic, and documenting it is something we don't take lightly. While we love getting romantic portraits, true candids and details are high on our list. Our goal is that you are able to relive the entire feeling of your wedding day through your photos. It is important to us to get to know you and your love story, so that you feel at ease as though a friend is there documenting the day. We love the nostalgia of film, which is what inspires our custom color filters and photo editing. Capturing authentic emotion is our passion. Let's get coffee and chat! XO

If I could do my wedding all over again, the first thing I'd do is book Jeanne/Red Cole. That's what happened the first time anyways! I contacted her a year ago yesterday to tell her I was engaged and to set up engagement photos right away!
After that I found out my date and prayed they'd be available! The whole engagement session felt like I was in a date with my darling and she was just capturing every little detail of our interactions! And after seeing the photos I knew that was exactly the feeling I wanted captured on our wedding day!
On a scale of 1-10??? 12! They send you a pdf of the schedule a few days before your wedding so that everyone in your bridal party can know what's going on and have it on their phones!? (that is just one example of Red Cole going above and beyond) You have no idea how many times I checked it, I felt like she knew the flow of the day better than me! Jeanne kept us on track for timing the entire time, she met with me several times prior to the wedding to answer questions I had. She even helped me figure out little kinks in my wedding because she's worked with so many through the years she knew what would run more smoothly! I felt like she did more than I was paying her to do. She made sure to ask about specifics like, whether or not I wanted her moving a lot during the ceremony, stuff like that. She took direction from my husband and me not the 30 other people who were suggesting poses and groupings. My family and friends have since hired Jeanne as their photographer because they loved her personality, talent and they way she carried herself that entire day!
My favorite part was how personal she made the wedding. She listened to me more than any vendor, she seemed to really understand my style and let the photography reveal who my husband and I are and how gushy we are over each other! Most of the other vendors felt rehearsed to me, like they act like its special but this is the 400th wedding they've done and every conversation is scripted. I got more excited about my wedding when I spoke with Jeanne about it. She made me feel like everything I picked and every detail that I loved were precious and important to her! She was genuine, and kind, she dealt with the very best and the very worst of my relatives with the grace of Audrey Hepburn! Yeah, she made it personal, and her excitement made me even more excited!!

Best advice I can give you other than simply hiring Red Cole, is do whatever they say. The more we followed her lead the better everything was coming out. Our engagement and wedding photos were so good, the hardest thing you'll have to do is figure out which ones to share. That's because each photo will be amazing. Don't even get me started on how wonderful her personality is. Got a difficult family member or wedding party member? No problem, Jeanne's magic ability to get them to cooperate will fix that. When Jeanne and Cole went above and beyond by one getting on the shoulders of the other in order to get the right for a shot, I knew I had the perfect photographers for my big day. I know everyone says that their photographers are the best, but I can not stress enough how serious I am when I say that Red Cole Photo literally is the best in the business. -We took our engagement photos right before Halloween, and we thought it would be funny to take a photo in the local graveyard for a "Till Death Do Us Part" Halloween photo. I had suggested this idea half kidding but Jeanne jumped on it. In the midst of a busy photo season, Jeanne paid special attention to get this photo edited before Halloween so we would have it to share with our friends and family!
-I told Jeanne that one of my favorite movies is pride and prejudice and on my wedding day she asked if I was game to take "super magical photos." She scouted out this location at our reception venue that captured the romance and beauty that I loved from that movie. I trusted her to walk through a few brambles and it was completely worth it, the photos turned out magically! She really has the eye!
I want to say that I had looked at other vendors in the metro Detroit area and no one else has quite the vision and style that Red Cole has. The editing style is above and beyond what most other photographers in the area offer. I would say Red Cole is the premier wedding photographer for this area!

The photos themselves are absolutely stunning, and it's apparent how much detail and care went into shooting and editing them. They are classic, not at all dated, with colors, filters and tones that are flattering on everyone. I always say Red Cole captures your best/true self with a romanticized lens. Red Cole captured me how I never thought I would see myself: dreamy, confident and classic.
Often times in wedding photography, I notice the details are overlooked or shot in a cliché way that feels forced. Red Cole shoots in a way that when I view the photos, it makes me feel like I'm in that very moment. Details were one of the higher priorities for me. Because I'm a calligrapher and artist, I wanted to remember all the thought and care I put into making my guests feel special. I trusted Red Cole with it and they delivered.

ible and we can't thank her enough. Nicolette and her made sure to get every detail of the wedding. They know how to work accordingly with different crowds. They are the sweetest people you'll ever meet.
We also did the photo-booth with Red Cole and it was a hit! Keely did a great job and was there right on time. She set everything up so it didn't get in the way of the rest of the wedding. It was so much fun that there was a line! All of the pictures are digital so wedding attendants are emailed a link to all of the photo-booth pictures. They are all personally edited by the girls so you know some extra TLC goes into it.
The engagement pictures are STUNNING and we cannot wait to receive our wedding ones! They have the perfect touch of rustic and elegant. They all have "the eye" and the photos prove it. We will go with them for all things photography all of the time!
