We have nothing but FANTASTIC things to say about Paul and Tammy with Red Door! I’ve worked with them professionally and personally. They were kind enough to donate their amazing services to several fundraisers I organized. I was fortunate enough to work with them again for my engagement and wedding photos. Most recently we have started family photos with our newborn! They are always accommodating, friendly, helpful and aren’t afraid to take charge when needed! As a bride, weddings can be so stressful. Tammy was amazing with helping with me with placement, capturing classic photos and candid moments. They are both wonderful in taking charge of the wedding party and organizing family when coming to photos and even have ideas on how we can make these great events even more memorable. As fellow dog lovers, they were even more than willing to include our fur child in our engagement pics! With family photos, they were ready to share what to wear and were ready to go with props, ideas and cute outfits for our newborn. They were more than willing to include heirlooms and personal touches at my request! Paul and Tammy are established in the community! Not only do they give back through generous donations, but they also partner with and recommend other great local businesses to work with for your big day! Quality is never lacking with photos or products! Their time and focus is shown in their work and editing. We are always pleased with the results we are given! From digit images to wall art, albums and photos, everything is always presented or delivered in aprofessional manner and of the highest quality! We’ve worked with a few other photographers In the past and priced other options. Red Door continues to stay at the top of our list. Not only do they have a beautiful, versatile studio in the heart of downtown DSM which is extremely convenient, but they are willing to travel upon request! Even with their modern accommodations, they stay well within their competitors’ pricing and I’ve found they offer more perks than others can! We will continue to work with Paul and Tammy as our family continues to grow and will recommend them to anyone who is looking. They invest in you and your family and become friends!

I have to give them 5 stars. Not only was the photographs amazing but their personalities are amazing. Our engagement picture session went so smooth he knew fight where to go and made me few way less awkward. Then the day of our wedding they knew exactly what we wanted and have clearly done weddings before so was able to keep us on track. I was super stressed the day of trying to get ready and Tammy was there keeping things light and fun. They got beautiful picture of family and friends. My husband and I would not pick anyone else if we did the wedding over. They felt like family to us.

Paul and Tammy are the best in Des Moines. We have been using them for photos for the past 6 years, starting with my husband's senior photos and up to our wedding this past weekend. They were so thorough and prepared throughout the entire day and took gorgeous photos of us. They are the nicest people alive and will make sure that your day is documented perfectly. We will definitely be using them in the future once we start having babies. :)

I can't say enough good things about Red Door Photo. From our engagement pics to our wedding day, Tammy and Paul have this process DOWN. I received communication from them throughout the 11 or so months leading up to our wedding, and everything was very organized. I felt like they genuinely cared about us as a couple, and about what we wanted for our wedding. When it came to the big day, they kept us laughing and having fun the whole time. They are a fantastic team and we're so happy they were part of our day!

We love Tammy and Paul and their videographer MacKailey! They were the perfect team for our wedding day. Our wedding party is still talking about how much fun they had during pictures! It was supposed to rain the whole day of my wedding and they weren't nervous about it for a minute and were so accommodating in order to get the pictures I wanted! I can't wait to take all of my future photography business to them!

Red door photography exceeded our expectations! Paul and Tammy were amazing to work with. We felt comfortable with them right from the start. Picking a wedding photographer is nerve wracking because you want pictures that you will look back on years from now and love. They did just that! Loved how they wanted to know exactly what we wanted and expected out of the photo shoots. Took our ideas and made them 1000x better! They did such an amazing job that we are using them to capture our other milestones in life such as maternity and newborn photos. Highly recommend them and you won’t be disappointed!

We had an amazing time with Paul and Tammy from engagement pictures through viewing our wedding photos online. They were so easy to get ahold of by email or cell phone and go with the flow type people to work with your specific wants, needs, or dream photo ideas! We emailed them engagement photo ideas and not only did these two do their homework on where would be best to take them, they printed the photos and brought them along! Helped us choose what outfits would be best and which locations. And even drive 20 minutes North to get pictures where my husband had proposed! Tammy even helped me plan a timeline of events for our DJ because I wasn't sure what to do. They let you do what you want but are there to help with decisions when asked! They work as a team and are able to be in more than one place at a time, so when the girls are getting ready Tammy is capturing those precious moments while Paul is capturing the "guys being guys" moments! We loved that they could both relate with either my husband or I. Paul got along with all of our groomsmen well and I had heard several of them comment that he was really fun to work with! Their photos are amazing! Paul captures every beautiful moment and Tammy is great at making all of our photos look wonderful! I can't say enough kind words about Red Door Photography!

Red Door Photo and Design are absolutely incredible!!!! They were easy to work with, and are so experienced with weddings!!! During our photo time for our big day they were so organized we were done early, not to mention the shots they got. We had a tough time choosing what we wanted to go in our album and hang on the walls because they were all good!!! The recommendation that I got as a bride was to choose wisely with a photographer and spend the extra money on someone who knows what they are doing, this is them to a tee!!! They are fabulous!!!!

Paul and Tammy are simply AMAZING to work with. They make any couple feel like they are one of a kind. It was a balmy 97 degrees on our wedding day. No matter how hot it was they made it easy and enjoyable to take pictures... and they look incredible. Hands down picking Red Door was the best decision we made when it came to our wedding!

First off, Paul and Tammy are AMAZING!! They are seriously everything we could have asked for. We are from the Cedar Rapids area and they drove from Des Moines to capture our engagement pictures and our wedding. And I have to say, there wasn't a picture I didn't like. They are such a fun duo to work with and will do anything you ask them to do. I can't express enough my gratitude to them. Every little smirk or happy moment during our wedding and engagement session was captured in a photograph. They also get your proofs back to you very quick. We had our wedding proofs back in 2 weeks. Lastly, my favorite part about their work is the highlight video they send along with music of your engagement and wedding. I will forever hold those videos close to my heart. If I could give 1000 star rating I definitely would!

Paul & Tammy went above and beyond for my husband and I on not only our engagement session, but our destination wedding. They incorporated all of our wishes with some new, fun ideas of their own and made our whole year something amazing to remember! We traveled 2 hours in order to have them photograph us, and it was worth every penny. They offer reasonable packages, and like I mentioned, even travel with you if that's what your heart desires! I have and will continue to recommend Red Door Photo & Design over and over again. We couldn't be happier with the quality of their services!

If we could give Paul and Tammy more than 5 stars, we would. They were phenomenal from start to finish, from our first meeting, to the engagement session, and then finally, our wedding day. We were completely at ease the entire time, they are lightening fast (which is awesome if you don't love getting your picture taken) and they are just the most professional, experienced team when it comes to getting the job done and managing a lot of family members. Paul helped my husband with his tie, and Tammy made sure I had everything in the right place. They really were experts on all the logistics and intricacies of weddings and made the day so relaxing and FUN! We couldn't be more pleased with Red Door.

A+++++ Let me just start by saying if picking a wedding photographer had been up to me, I would have gone with whoever was cheapest. I'm VERY glad my wife made the executive decision to go with Paul and Tammy. It's easy to look at their pictures and see they do great work, but what impressed me the most about them wasn't their pictures (which turned out great btw). It was how much smoother and organized our day was because of them. Yeah they were our photographers, but I felt like we had two very experienced coaches/ wedding planners making sure everything was going as planned and everyone was having fun. They were a huge part of our day and it definitely wouldn't have been the same without them. Also, get the slide show at the reception, you won't regret it. We got tons of compliments about it and it was definitely one of my favorite parts of the reception. Keep in mind this is coming from someone whose biggest goal going into this thing was get married for as cheap as possible. Thanks Paul and Tammy you guys are awesome!!

My husband and I were looking for a duo that was fun, easy-going, timely, professional, and most importantly - made us feel comfortable. You'll get all that plus much more with Paul and Tammy!! After our first meeting with them, you could tell they love what they do and have fun doing it - and that is exactly what we wanted our wedding experience to be! Fun! And they make the whole process so easy. They work with you to create a schedule for your day and actually stick to it. Absolutely everything went so smoothly and we got everything we asked for plus so much more! One thing both my husband and I appreciated the most was their ability to keep things moving. While we wanted plenty of wonderful pictures, we didn't want to feel like that's all we did the entire day - and we didn't! I contribute this to their ability to work together so well, their level of organization, and of course to experience. And it's fine if you don't have a lot of ideas for which pictures to take because they do! You're never left standing there while they wait for you to suggest something (but of course they are open to any suggestions you may have!). Also, having two photographers is the best decision we could have made. It allows you to get shots from both ends of the aisle, if you do a first look you can get pictures of each person's facial expressions, and then of course the different perspective of having two people's pictures versus just one. After booking Paul and Tammy, I never once worried about the photography aspect of our wedding. The only problem I was left with when everything was said and done was how to choose among the hundreds of beautiful pictures they gave us - and that is a problem I'll take any day! The quality of the pictures are very high and they captured so many moments I didn't think could be captured on film. You will not be disappointed if you book Paul and Tammy to photograph your wedding!!

Fabulous. A wonderful couple that compliments each other's work. While Paul took all the major shots in the church and at the ceremony, Tammy took the special moments that we missed. They have so much experience with weddings, they were more than just photographers. They helped our flower girl stay calm and be adorable as well as helped keep the pins in my hair and keep me calm. My husband an I were married in January in Iowa. We prayed for a winter wedding and we received a blizzard! It was beautiful and Paul and Tammy never once stopped smiling and being wonderfully supportive in the cold, wet, damp outdoors. They were more than just troopers, I believe they have to love their jobs a lot to do what they do so well. I highly recommend them to everyone I know. Plus, the book we received only a few months after the big day is incredible and people pick it up and flip through it every time they visit us. It is professional and elegant.

Paul and Tammy were great! They were very organized and fun to work with. They have done over 400 weddings and it shows! They had me fill out a survey about which pictures I wanted to make sure they captured everything and made a timeline for the day! The timeline was especially helpful to let everyone know when/where they were needed for pictures. They were great with our wedding party shots as well. They had lots of fun ideas for pictures and were so creative! I would HIGHLY recommend them!

We LOVED working with Red Door for our photos! Paul and Tammy are super helpful, friendly, and engaging! I've been in several friends' weddings and I know our photographers were the best of the bunch! At our engagement session as well as our wedding day, they kept things moving and made the whole thing a ton of fun! Our entire bridal party had a great time with them and commented how fun the experience was. Less than two weeks after our December wedding, we had our proofs. I have been absolutely floored at all of the great moments they captured and how well the photographs tell the story of our day. I cannot say enough wonderful things about them!

We absolutely LOVED Having Red Door Photography help make our special day even more memorable. We hit the JACKPOT with Red Door! Paul and Tammy are wonderful to work with and SO talented!!! My fiancé and I both adore our engagement photos and can’t wait for our wedding! Getting married out of state (we live in Minnesota) hasn’t been the easiest process but I have absolutely NO problem making the 4 hour drive to see Paul and Tammy! They were super flexible with our schedules and made us feel really comfortable in the Des Moines area that we were not familiar with. Paul took us to a bunch of different locations that were all fun and different from anything that we had seen before. He’s quick on his feet and has tons of ideas for poses and angles that we had a blast with! Tammy is AMAZING at editing!! The photos are absolutely stunning! The amount of time, energy and attention to detail that goes into each and every picture blows my mind. You can tell that they both really love what they do and take pride in their work. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this company! After having such an amazing experience with Red Door I can’t imagine working with anyone else to have professional pictures taken.
