Red Lion Hotel Columbia Center

We had a smaller wedding, less than 50 guests. However, Red Lion does have room for much larger weddings. I had a room with the capacity for 150 guests. The room was going to be $900 for the day but if I ordered a catering package of $1500, the room fee was waived. Considering that price was less than my room and food budget combined, we decided to go for it. It was a great decision. That price included set up, tables, chairs, linens, place settings and of course the food which was delivered to each person rather than buffet style. I ended up getting prime rib for 50 people for just over our budget. That combined with the keg of beer and wine put us under our goal. I did find the wine prices to be pretty high per glass so we brought our own wine and instead just paid the corkage fee that they charged. It still ended up being cheaper than by the glass. The food was fantastic, the catering and sales manager was efficient and took care of any problems that came up. Even though there was a huge wedding reception going on across the hall, we never even really noticed. The staff was amazing and I'd recommend it for the price alone.
