Red Lotus made my vision come true. I used Red Lotus for my wedding in the Dominican Republic. Not only did we have heat and humidity fighting against us, we had limited time between events. No matter the obstacle, Vidya made it work. Every look was exactly as we discussed. She did my hair, makeup, and drapings. We had a vision call before the wedding to discuss each event's look and she made it come to life. My favorite part about the experience was that with each look, Vidya was asking me my thoughts and was willing and ready to add or change anything I asked for, ALL WITHIN OUR TIME CRUNCH. I never felt rushed or stressed. The entire experience was a dream.

Vidya and team at RLA are truly the queens of HMU! From beginning to end, Vidya was attentive and used her creativity to help me feel comfortable in my own skin. She and her team were so professional and made my entire bridal party, my family and I look amazing! I wanted to step out of my comfort zone and she was so great in coming up with looks for all 5 of my events. I would highly recommend her and RLA to anyone looking for a HMUA! I don’t think I could’ve gotten the Bridal looks I had envisioned if I hadn’t gone with Red Lotus Artistry. From day 1, when we started with the makeup trial, Vidya listened very closely to what kind of styles/looks I was a fan of, and what I simply couldn’t stand. For example, I’m not a lipstick person at all. I remember explaining that to Vidya and instead of responding with something along the lines of how brides need to wear lipstick on their big day, she said that’s totally fine, we’ll keep it simple and mix the shades until we get what you want. Between the makeup trial and the wedding weekend, there was a 6+ month window. In that duration, Vidya was available to answer my questions via text/phone call at essentially all times, and I had a LOT of questions about hair care, facials, hair extensions, etc. Her kindness was simply overwhelming. We had our final consultation the week before my wedding and I’m so thankful for that meeting. Your bridal makeup artist needs to know exactly what hiccups to expect when getting ready for your wedding events, and that’s exactly what Vidya addressed during her consultation with my mom and I. My upper body is on the more petite side, and before even picking up my bridal dupattas, Vidya knew she was going to have to come up with a creative way to drape it around me (unlike the conventional style to avoid me falling over from the heavy-ness), and that’s exactly what she did. She pleated both my bridal dupattas to make it super thin and had the pleats fanning beautifully in front of my lehenga. It was done in a way where there wouldn’t be immense pressure on just one part of my body (I.e. head, shoulder, etc). The final look was gorgeous and I’ve included some pics in this review :) My deepest thanks to the entire team of Red Lotus Artistry, who arrived at our hotel the morning of the wedding at 4:30 in the AM to start getting my bridal party ready. I loved each and every one of their hair styles and makeup looks. Half of my bridesmaids loved their looks so much, they kept their hair and makeup intact for the reception later that night, all they had to do was a little bit of touch-up, and they were good to go. The team was able to get all the bridesmaids ready in time for the Photoshoot, and I’m sure that wasn’t easy given that I had 9 bridesmaids! I thank Vidya and her team again for all their hard efforts. I HIGHLY recommend any brides getting married to hire Red Lotus Artistry right away!

Vidya is AMAZING!!! my Videographers actually introduced me to her and I had already scheduled a trial with a different MUAH artist but once I met Vidya and saw her work, I knew she was the one. #neverdoubtvidya she was honest with me when I was second guessing my make up and hair choices and made me feel like I was the most beautiful bride ever. my bridesmaids all loved her and Vidya and her team nailed all of our styles! she went above and beyond on my wedding day helping with anything I needed. Vidya has been so flexible and kind throughout this process. She was the first vendor I booked before I even knew what I was wearing for my wedding and has been super patient as I piece together my look. She is happy to brainstorm and experiment if that's what you want, and she is also happy to work with your comfort zone, and a combination of the two; after all it's YOUR face, and she is completely understanding of that. My makeup trial was awesome because she really took the time to listen to my feedback and adjust accordingly. She is also well experienced in what your makeup will look like on camera, and I think it's really important that your makeup artist understand that. While your first instinct may be that you want a "lighter, more natural look," the truth is, that can often look washed out in pictures and she was able to strike an awesome balance between keeping me looking like myself, but also making sure I look my best for my photoshoot. My fiance, clueless about makeup in general, even commented that my look was "on fleek" lol. Super excited for my wedding events because of her!

I cannot say enough good things about Vidya and Red Lotus Artistry! She did the hair and makeup of me (the bride) and my bridesmaids and she did such an amazing job! She executed my vision perfectly and she was an absolute joy to work with. She showed up to the house we were getting ready in totally prepared and got to work immediately. Vidya from Led Lotus Artistry was responsible for doing hair, make up and draping of my mother, my daughter and I for a 4 day 6 Event wedding for my brother’s big day! She was absolutely exceptional! Each of us wanted something different and had our own style for each of the events and she listened to our likes and wants and delivered accordingly. We got more compliments then I ever expected and our pictures turned out beautiful. She didn’t overdo the makeup and was able to duplicate every hairstyle we wanted just off of us showing her pictures of what we liked. She was incredibly professional and was calm even when we were cramped for time due to our event going longer then expected. I will definitely use her again and would recommend her for any age group. I am 37, my mother is 57 and my daughter is 6 and she made each of us look amazing! I was also very impressed at the quality of her products and how expensive and top notch her make up was during our sessions. Great job!

Vidya is a doll!! A good friend recommended her to us and originally I only booked her for my brothers wedding, but do to last minute conflicts I booked her for my cousins wedding as well. She was early to the appointments and fixed or touched up anything I didn't like and was so sweet with suggestions. I only wish I booked her for my brothers wedding day as well! My aunt, mother of the groom, had a hair issue and Vidya jumped right in and saved the day for her and a few other relatives last minute so we all appreciated that! Vidya was superbly wonderful to work with from start to finish. She organized and provided hair and makeup services for myself and my five bridesmaids. We wanted to work with people who were welcoming, responsive, attentive to detail and talented in their craft. After many email exchanges, Vidya and her colleague Shivani arrived on my wedding day right on time to prep for their first appointments. Vidya and Shivani were attentive to each bridesmaid’s requests and patiently perfected every style as requested. They brought an upbeat energy to the environment and never paused despite the long hours of standing! When it came to my hair and makeup, Vidya was exceptionally attentive and executed my “look” exactly as I’d envisioned, despite the difficult style. My makeup stayed all day. My bridesmaids and I looked and felt gorgeous in person, and in photos. I highly recommend Vidya’s services for any event!

Vidya was a pleasure to work with. We(Me and my sister) have already tried 3 famous makeup artists for the wedding before we saw Vidya. What was striking about her was that she was capable of holding a conversation without being judgemental. She tried her best to understand what my sister and I needed from the very beginning. She took all precautions to match her skin tone (being brown skinned and from India I know how many makeup artists try to make us look more fair than we already are.)She was reliable all through our journey. It was a 3 day wedding. I used her services on the day of the wedding. She made it to our place on time , professional, maintained boundaries. She went above and beyond in many instances. Her only priority was the bride(my sister), made sure she was happy with the makeup. She even changed the lip stick 3 times as my sister was unhappy with the shades. At that time as a silent spectator I atleast expected a grin on her face ..no..not even a sigh!! On her face. She even coordinated services well for us. She helped us find a couple of her colleagues when we needed a large team for the wedding. In short if I get married any time soon and I had to hire a makeup artist, I am not even going to look for other option, she is my go to person. IS THERE SOMETHING MORE THAN 5???;)

Any bride searching for the perfect hair and makeup team to make them look and feel like a Queen should look no further than the amazing artists at Red Lotus Artistry! They are reasonably priced and their work is impeccable. Vidya and Shivani are simply the best! I had a great experience each time I worked with them. I knew I was in good hands when I first met them at my hair and makeup trial. I had printed out some hairstyles I found on Pinterest and when I showed Vidya she was able to create a hairstyle that was even better than what I had shown her. For my makeup, I knew I wanted a natural look and I was nervous since I never worked with a professional makeup artist or used fake eyelashes before and I did not want it to look like I was either badly spray tanned or wearing pounds of makeup. Vidya showed me some pictures she had on her phone of brides she had done and we were able to do a blend a few pictures to create the perfect look for me. The day of the wedding the girls were at the venue early and ready to go. Vidya was able to create 4 different and gorgeous up-dos for my bridesmaids without breaking a sweat and Shivani was able to create natural looks for my bridal party, my mom and myself. They never made us feel rushed and they took their time to make sure we all looked absolutely flawless. They were there to provide touch-ups throughout the day as well and this was the best decision I made. They made sure our looks stayed perfect throughout pictures and gave everyone finishing touches right before the ceremony. They were even kind enough to wait until after the ceremony finished to help me change hair accessories for the reception and give one final touch-up for the night. They are worth every penny and I wish I could have them move in with me to do my hair and make-up everyday!

I highly recommend Red Lotus Artistry! Vidya is amazing! Upon our first meeting, she set me at ease right away. She is very professional and talented. We did a hair and make-up trial in advance at her home and then she traveled to me on the big day. She completely understood the "Vintage" hair and makeup look I was going for and nailed both. I found her fee to be reasonable to include the trial, travel and the day of work.
