king (Guests park in the same parking garage that everyone parks at for city centre; they told me it wouldn’t be a problem. Wedding night most of my guests were late because of parking and many had to park down the block.) The venue looked fantastic on my wedding night. It’s so sad that management is so horrible. I worked with some great people; unfortunately, my wedding coordinator left the company a few months before the wedding. I was told that I would be assigned a new coordinator but that never happened. They kept giving me dates and pushing them back and back. I had to work with someone different every single time I had a question or needed to discuss the venue arrangement. Finally 2 weeks before the wedding they told me I would talk to the coordinator who was being transferred from another location, the week of my wedding. The week of my wedding they told me that wasn’t going to happen. That week I had to talk to someone new to finalize the venue arrangement and they told me that person was not even going to be there on my wedding night. I met the coordinator the night before my wedding! The wedding night the blinds were not open to show the beautiful view which is why we booked there in the first place, I had a beer and wine bar from certain hours yet the prices were still up at the bar during those times and finally the gift table was not where it was supposed to be according to our venue set up. The gift table was placed near the entrance. By the end of the night we found out ALL of our gifts from our gift box (cash, checks and gift cards) were stolen - we only got monetary gifts. There are no cameras and no security. One of the staff saw 2 men standing by the table that looked suspicious. We talked to the owner a few days after and after “investigating” told me she could do nothing for us. She told me this in an email. To top it off, before sending the email she told me she would be emailing me and would be available to discuss her email with me afterwards by phone. I called her several times and no answer. I emailed her twice after that and she NEVER responded. Bottom line - I don't recommend this place.

us the address for the garage directly next to the Norris Center which saved so much confusion. It's the biggest complaint on any of the reviews. No problem for us thanks to Terri. There's a number of rooms to choose from depending on what you want and how many guests will be attending. The Red Oak Ballroom is the nicest and also the room we went with. Fitting close to 300 people was no problem with room for a stage, 21x21 dance floor, cake table, DJ setup, 2 bartenders, and lounge furniture. We went with buffet styled food, which would have easily fit, but we setup in the hall next to the room. The seating chart and all of the details for the wedding were all put together with the help of Chris Thompson!!(Catering manager/coordinator) The guy is awesome really. He listened to every detail my wife wanted and made it happen. Time and time again went above and beyond to make the wedding exactly the way we wanted. Cost amount listed is for everything all together. We did have to sub out some of the stuff needed like food and sodas but most of the other stuff was covered by Red Oak. Also the cost doesn't include alcohol as we didn't have any provided. We would highly recommend Red Oak Ballroom at the Norris Center to anyone getting married! st. The venue turned out beautifully. I am giving it 3 stars because I had to deal with some negative things. Terri is the manager and is great to work with. However, they seemed to be going through many personnel issues. The first catering manager that was supposed to help me plan out everything turned out to be a bit of a jerk and was awful about getting in touch. I was supposed to have a tasting, which my fiance and I both took the day off for and he didn't get paid for his days off at the time... and they called me the day of to cancel the tasting because Donny was "sick." I was very upset about this and told them no that they had to figure something out because that was not acceptable. Then I had Gloria, she seemed like she was pretty good, I arranged everything with her and felt confident about everything and then through my friend who also got the same venue, found out that she no longer worked there. I was upset again because this time it was closer to the wedding, about a month or less away. So I met with Kim to go over everything. Kim is amazing! I will say that she really made me feel more relaxed about all the changes. The night of my wedding went very well thanks to Kim! The only thing is that I needed Kim for something and I had a hard time finding her after a while. Overall though I am satisfied with how my wedding turned out! I would still recommend them because I think that they are finally getting their stuff together.
