About this vendor
I started my photography journey back in 2010 when I was attending KU. Majoring in Film and Anthropology, I didn’t think wedding photography would be the career field that I would land in, but I am so glad I did. I love meeting new people and getting to showcase their personalities through my work. When we work together you can trust that I have your back! I consider myself to be more of a documentary style photographer, but also love to pose and prompt my clients just like the sweet photos you see here on my page. Working with me means having a good time, joking around, and talking about anything nerdy, film or animal related. I am an animal lover and proud owner of two huskies Persephone and Brutus and a black kitty named Howl (I also have two human children and a husband as well). While I love to get to know you, you can be rest assured knowing that we will plan your whole day so everything goes seamless and every moment is captured. If you want to learn even more about my personality, please head to my Instagram where you can learn more about me! @roxanna.silva.photography

Roxanna was creative and thoughtful while photographing our Halloween wedding. We have amazing photos of our special day and would highly recommend her to anyone.
We couldn’t have been happier working with Roxanna for our wedding. From planning, to meeting, to the actual wedding day, to how she worked with our other vendors to the pictures w...
e actually received; we were very happy with and grateful for her work. Her insights and experience with weddings in general were helpful in planning the pictures we wanted to capture and even our overall schedule. She came with thoughts and background on locations, types of pictures and was just overall very giving in ideas. The day of, her and her second shooter Jessica’s approach and just overall friendliness were very much appreciated as we navigated our day. From having a flexible plan, being confident in how to shoot the various phases of the day, and be pleasantly directive when needed went a long way to build trust and make the most of our time. We love the pictures we received and would highly recommend her!
Roxanna was fantastic. Her preparation was thorough and helped us understand what we wanted out of our wedding day.

ed out amazing. We couldn't be more pleased with Roxanna's performance.
Cost was reasonable and competitive.
Roxanna was absolutely INCREDIBLE! I had heard so many horror stories on Reddit about bad wedding experiences (I read WAY too many stories...). From the moment I reached out to her...
I was set at ease. She was incredibly kind, attentive, helpful and she was always quick with communication. We loved her style and her openness to trying some fun shots and things. We not only did our wedding with her, but also our engagement shoot and a boudoir session. I hope to do more with her in the future and I couldn't recommend her more!
We found Roxanna while searching for wedding photographers who prominently featured same-sex couples in their work. Based on this, my partner and I knew we could be our authentic s...
elves around her, but once we met over a face-to-face call we were even more assured. Roxanna projects a laid-back, professional demeanor that makes her extremely easy to talk to. She's clearly experienced and walked us through the process, anticipated needs in terms of timelines and logistics, gave honest feedback to our ideas, and worked super well with our wedding manager to coordinate a schedule that made sense. Roxanna was willing to split her time between our welcome party and the actual wedding day. She's unobtrusive but always easy to find. When the photos came out she had clearly captured every important moment from multiple angles. The posed portraits were great but what I loved the most were all of the candid moments she caught, the small moments that might have been missed if it weren't for her camera. We were also thrilled that we got so many shots of our friends and family, which we requested beforehand, as we didn't want to the focus of the lens to just be on us. Roxanna had creative ideas to get shots beyond the standard wedding poses and compositions you always see and we loved the fun, interesting photos that resulted from it. Honestly looking back we would have booked even more time with Roxanna so we could have exhausted more of her ideas for how to use our venues and spaces to their photographic potential. We are already joking about having a reunion photoshoot for a future anniversary. We highly recommend Roxanna for any couple who wants to have a stress-free and high-quality photographer for their special day.

d she helped us set up a shot list for portraits with our family and friends. She let us interact with each other for posing letting us just be us.
During the wedding she was incredible about being on time for all the shots, and made the whole day move so smoothly. She also was so conscience about my leg that I had broken. 2 and a half months before.
We absolutely loved working with her and her second shooter, Jess.
Roxanna was AMAZING at capturing our special day. She made us feel very comfortable and heard when it came to our wants for pictures. Bonus points for getting our pictures back ear...

awkwardness around eachother and the camera and made all of the pictures look effortless! She had great ideas for places to get pictures taken at and was very supportive of our vision. She incorporated some of our favorite things and encouraged us to be silly and comfortable. Not only were the engagement photos fantastic, but the pictures that her and her partner took at our wedding were everything we ever wanted and more. She was essential to helping us plan our schedule for the day of and figuring out what we wanted to prioritize. We were flooded in gorgeous pictures that everyone loved in the online collection. Her pictures are worth every penny. I would 100% recomend her and her work to everyone.
Roxanna does SUCH beautiful work. I've followed her photography page on Facebook for a long time and have always been so drawn to her photography style. As soon as I became engaged...
, I called her the next day and booked her! Her prices were great and we are simply in love with our pictures- the engagement pictures and the wedding pictures. She was such a pleasure to work with- easy to communicate with, responsive, open to ideas and collaboration. Roxanna knows how to move quickly through pictures while keeping everyone comfortable and in high spirits. She and her team were wonderful. Roxanna is artistic in different angles, lighting, and poses, while still mainting classical and traditional wedding pictures. I am still having a hard time picking a favorite picture. I'm so happy to have these photos to remember our big day- trust me, you'll be glad to have them because it goes by so fast!!

around. She is fun and lighthearted while still being professional and delivering amazing results. Our photos came out absolutely beautiful, and everything was in line with promised delivery times. She was also very flexible with/open to alternative ideas we had, and didn't blink an eye at us brining a goat to our engagement shoot, or us wanting to stage creepy elements in the background, or even staging a couple shots of a sacrifice scene where I "gave my heart" to my partner.
Roxanna was amazing, we are so glad we hired her for our wedding day! She was super chill and really great to work with for posing and photo ideas, plus the wrangling of our crazy...
group did not phase her at all. Both my husband and I agree, Roxanna was the perfect choice to photograph our nerd wedding and we couldn't be happier with how the day went with her expertise involved.

Once we received the pictures we were blown away! She did a great job at capturing nature atmosphere of our wedding and made everyone feel comfortable. The shots she took throughout the reception were fantastic. The lighting is great, and the angles of each person were perfect.
11/10 could not recommend her enough! We have already shared her info with friends and family that have asked.

dding photos from years ago. I don't particularly enjoy being photographed, but Roxanna made it so painless and fun, which helped put me and my shy husband at ease. She even helped us find a rate that would work for us, since our circumstance didn't exactly fit any of her pre-made packages, and even after customizing, her price was amazing.
We also chose her to do some family photos more recently and she just has such a heart for her clients and an eye for detail. Like I said, my husband and I are pretty shy and on top of that, we have some hard-to-capture kids but she was patient and helpful and with her talents we still had a bunch of lovely photos to choose from. I will recommend her again and again.
What a gem! She was so lovely to work with. So personable, kind, and organized. We had FaceTime meetings and got things worked out that way. Aside from the list I had given her of ...
photos I wanted, she took control so I wouldn’t have to worry about anything. She captures the traditional, posted shots. More importantly, the candid shots. The little moments that make the day. Her second shooter was lovely and did incredible work as well! The rate for the wedding package we got was incredible. She beyond delivered and blew any expectations I had out of the water. If you get the chance to work with her, take it.
We love you!!

od our vision for our wedding, and helped make sure the day went by smoothly. We had to change plans several times due to the pandemic, and she was accommodating to all changes. She is patient, professional, and truly a joy to work with. As a bonus, her website is easy to navigate, holds all our sessions available in one area, and even has a place to order any and all prints directly from her site.
We have been using Roxanna’s services for years for all our photography needs, including family and holiday photos. I’m so thankful she was our photographer and I would highly recommend her for your big day!

your ideas as well and listens to what your vision is as well. The day of the wedding, her mom is her second shooter, and so pleasant. She went to another location to photograph the men while they got ready. They are both so easy to work with and everyone who interacted with them said they were very nice. They’re so patient while trying to get the wedding party together to go get photos.
We live out of state and scheduled a meeting with Roxanna to interview her months prior to our wedding, to decide on a photographer. She missed the appointment. We rescheduled and ...
met the next day, liked her enough as she talked about multicultural understanding and whatnot, and decided to go with her, because she was the cheapest around and we did not want frills. We also did not have spare time to dwell on the decision, in part because she wasted our time by missing our first meeting. The day of our wedding, with people from some ten countries in attendance, her assistant's phone went off DURING THE CEREMONY. (By the way, her assistant is her mom, which you won't find out until the day of.) There was no apology until I demanded one and no attempt to make up for the ringing phone: no extra time at the reception, no extra photos, an album, nothing. Her price might be competitive, but I would look elsewhere.
I cannot say enough good things about Roxanna! She is so lovely and patient. We had multiple meetings before our big day, and were completely comfortable and confident with her. At...
