Located on 100+ acres of farmland, French Hen Farm is an elegant and rustic wedding venue in Marysville, Ohio.
This beautiful red barn features vintage-inspired decor and overlooks a gorgeous pond.
In 2009, French Hen Farm began hosting fabulous weddings for friends, families, and neighbors, eventually opening their doors to the community.
The property is situated in the middle of Union County and is a short driving distance from Columbus, Ohio.
The rental fee for the property includes an entire weekend.
Booking with French Hen Farm means that you are able to enjoy a stress-free weekend, allowing you time to decorate, host your rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception with ease.
French Hen Farm is a wonderful place for a wedding and reception, beautiful both indoors (climate controlled) and outdoors.
It features more than 50+ authentic and vintage chandeliers. There are also spectacular vaulted ceilings, bringing an airy feel to the property.
Guests will enjoy picturesque views of the perennial gardens, pond, and willow trees that surround the barn. Spectacular sunsets over the pond and an evening bonfire complete the night, making for a memorable and pleasant occasion.
In addition to the event facilities, French Hen Farm also offers the use of a beautiful bridal suite for couples or bridal parties to prepare for the wedding day.
French Hen Farm provides an array of services for wedding and other celebrations.
The facility has ample lit parking for guests, tables and chairs, white table linens and decor props.
A large collection of decor items include arbors, mantels, centerpieces, our own photo booth, furniture, signs, and other inspiring items are included with your rental!! A huge cost saving for our couples!

de our entire wedding experience truly unforgettable. They cared about every detail in a way that felt deeply personal, as if they were planning their own family’s celebration. Their warmth, attentiveness, and heartfelt dedication allowed us to sit back, breathe, and enjoy the entire process from start to finish from planning through the day-of! They even made decorating completely stress-free. French Hen Farm fully decorates with an enormous variety of decorations and stunning pieces to choose from, and thoughtful touches, which saved us so much time, money, and effort. Even going through and choosing all the decorations was so so easy with the guide they provided.
Planning with them was effortless. They were always available to answer every question, big or small, and offered thoughtful guidance throughout. Their advice and recommendations were invaluable; the caterer, cake, and coordinator they suggested ended up becoming part of the dream team that gave us the most amazing day of our lives. We genuinely could not have imagined a more stress-free experience.
The venue itself is a masterpiece. French Hen Farm radiates beauty in every direction, from the elegantly designed event spaces to the lovingly maintained landscaping that’s clearly cared for with pride. Every corner feels intentional, romantic, and filled with charm.
The day-of accommodations were just as impressive. The bridal suite was spacious, luxurious, and stocked with everything we didn’t even know we’d need: tons of personal mirrors, comfortable lounge seating, plenty of hangers, and even a basket of essentials like Tide pens, a sewing kit, and more. The groomsmen’s space offered the same comfort and convenience. And when a makeup crisis hit, Linda and Phil didn’t hesitate and swooped in to immediately offer to call an on-call makeup artist like absolute heroes.
Working with them and all the vendors was incredibly smooth. Linda and Phil made communication easy and seamless, helping ensure everything ran perfectly.
We truly cannot recommend French Hen Farm enough. The venue is breathtaking, the owners are extraordinary, and the entire experience was flawless. If you want a wedding day that feels magical, supported, and completely worry-free, this is the place.

unication was always clear, they made sure we had everything we needed, and on the wedding day they were very hands-on while somehow managing to blend into the background so the day felt completely ours.
Phil officiated our ceremony and did a wonderful job — short, sweet, and perfectly tailored to us. He even allowed us to make any changes to his script so it truly reflected our style. Linda worked her magic decorating — always asking my preferences before making decisions, and creating a space that was beyond beautiful. Having all the décor included saved us so much time, hassle, and money. I didn’t have to search for items, wonder what looked good together, or stress about setup. About a month before the wedding, they even schedule a full walkthrough to review décor, table settings, the timeline, and to answer any last-minute questions.
On the day of, Linda and Phil went above and beyond — even wiping rain off all the guests’ chairs moments before the ceremony. They handled lighting changes, table moves, and guest assistance without us ever needing to ask. Their experience really showed; they knew exactly what was coming next and had it handled.
Our guests raved about how beautiful the venue was and how comfortable the spacing felt. The barn and property are absolutely stunning, and in late July the gardens were in full bloom — endless opportunities for incredible photos. The venue comfortably holds 100–110 guests, has AC, and includes access Friday through Sunday until noon, so we didn’t have to find another space for our rehearsal dinner. Both the bridal and groom’s suites were spacious, air-conditioned, stocked with a mini fridge and an emergency kit. There’s also a photobooth, firepit, and yard games included. You can choose from their recommended vendors or bring your own.
The property offers plenty of parking to accommodate your guest count, is very easy to get to, and is just 10 minutes from Marysville, where there are plenty of hotel options. If you reserve a room block at certain hotels in Marysville and mention the venue, they’ll even provide a free round-trip shuttle for your guests — a huge bonus!
Linda and Phil truly made the entire weekend stress-free so that we could relax, enjoy, and take in every memory. From their thoughtful touches to their expert coordination, they made our day absolutely perfect.

Then we were able to pick decorations (included!) and had the freedom to ask Linda to bring our vision to life. Linda made our vision work with our colors, and everything worked so well together. We had a design meeting before the wedding, and then came to the venue Friday night before the wedding to be absolutely blown away.
Very unique, we were able to access the venue Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The property is open for photo opportunities, making for amazing shots. Vendor suggestions helped us pick out vendors familiar to the property for a smooth day.

Then during the event, they are super helpful in getting everything ready Friday for you to preview your wedding. The guys and the girls have separate spaces to get ready with no chance of seeing each other. It’s a perfect space for an outdoor venue and they’re super nice people. Linda even gave us a suggestion on how to elevate the look even more! They were there during the event to help in any way we needed. g the chandeliers brought so much class we did a rustic theme in the barn it was perfect the outside bar the fire pit the pond the Willow tree the yard games and especially the little photo booth they do everyone got pictures from it and we even got them so it was fun to go back and look on and see all the joy people were having other than from a photographer. rmal as can be due to Covid-19 and the new restrictions and guidelines. We started planning with them last fall and had our wedding scheduled for May 2020. Due to the pandemic, we had to reschedule. We are overjoyed that we rescheduled with French Hen Farm for June 2020. They supplied hand sanitizer for all our guests and made beautiful COVID-19 regulation signs that matched the venue. The day of the wedding, they both lended a helping hand with final touches. They were so patient and welcoming as we were planning and let us visit the venue a few times with family from out of state and they never acted as they were bothered in any way. The venue includes the entire weekend of Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The cost of this was so reasonable we thought it was too good to be true! We held our rehearsal dinner here, had the day to decorate on Friday, had the wedding Saturday and cleaned up on Sunday. Phil and Linda never treated us as “just another event” and we’re such a pleasure to work with. We have gained two new friends and had a beautiful wedding at their venue.
