Deep Run Roadhouse Catering was truly so amazing for our rehearsal dinner! Our rehearsal dinner was at Seven Springs on May 1, 2026, and everything about our food was a dream come true. During the planning process, Deep Run Roadhouse was always available to help us answer questions, and they were so helpful in making sure that we got just the right amount of food for our guests. Additionally, it was so great that were were able to bring our own alcohol to the rehearsal dinner and just hire the DRR Catering bartending staff. The staff who helped us that night were also so friendly, warm, professional, and helpful, and everything went off without a hitch because of them! Also, this review wouldn't be complete without us RAVING about the food, which our guests still do three months later! We opted for the pulled pork barbecue and the wings, and it was DELICIOUS. We also had rope sausage and veggie appetizers while we were rehearsing, which prevented anyone from getting hangry. Nobody went hungry at our rehearsal dinner, and everyone got piping hot, scrumptious food. The buffet line was also speedy, so everyone got dinner and finished dinner around the same time. We truly cannot say enough nice things about Deep Run Roadhouse Catering, and for any brides or grooms in the Richmond, VA, area who are getting married, you HAVE to consider booking with Deep Run Roadhouse!

Most importantly, the food was absolutely incredible; so many of our guests said it was the best wedding food they’ve ever had! They were also incredibly accommodating with dietary restrictions—we had guests with nut allergies and gluten intolerances who were still able to enjoy a full, delicious plate of food.

updating our order quickly each time we talked. They contacted us several times to make sure we were always on the same page. They thought of all of the details that we didn’t even know to ask about. They provided a free tasting, which included nearly everything on their menu. Four of us made a full meal out of that tasting. And the room where they held the tasting was nicely arranged and decorated for a pleasant evening. The catering group clearly has a great process for communicating with each other about the events they are catering because we never had to explain our situation to anyone when we called with questions or updates. No matter who we talked to, they were always right on top of the plan and immediately knew what we were talking about, even though we were planning an unusual schedule. The staff who served on the night of the event were so pleasant and efficient. We never had to follow up on anything the entire night. All of the guests raved about the food. And, of course, the price is so reasonable. An absolute pleasure to work with them!

ut the quality of the food and service we received from Deep Run Roadhouse (and this is coming from many guests who have grown up eating southern BBQ). The BBQ buffet we ordered, which included pulled pork and chicken and brisket and more, was an absolute 10/10 and no one left our wedding hungry. We also ordered appetizers including the cheese and meat platters for our cocktail hour, which was perfect for what we needed. Not only was the food itself delicious, but the service from Deep Run Roadhouse was unmatched. They went above and beyond to ensure my husband and I and our guests had a great experience by constantly clearing plates, helping with clean up, and also ensuring my husband and I never went hungry or without a drink for too long. Before our wedding, they were great with communication to ensure we had a plan for just about everything leading up to the big day, and also offered a wonderful taste testing experience so we could nail down our menu. If you're debating about whether or not to hire Deep Run Roadhouse for your wedding, I can say with full confidence that hiring them was the best decision we made throughout our wedding planning process. We're even planning on having Deep Run Roadhouse for our one year anniversary in Oct 2026 :) Thank you again to the wonderful staff of Deep Run Roadhouse for making our wedding day run so smoothly!

We ordered full-service catering and the buffet presentation looked great, the staff were friendly and helpful, they posted helpful allergen information, and of course it was super tasty! Probably even better than at our tasting. They also made sure my husband and I got some of our appetizers during cocktail hour, and made honeymoon plates for us, for the next day.
I saw several of my guests go back for seconds, and a number of them told my family members that they absolutely loved the BBQ (and that's saying a lot, because I have friends and family who like to experiment with smoking their own meat).
I highly recommend considering Deep Run Roadhouse if you want a stress-free catering service with crowd-pleasing food.

They did not over-serve or under-serve our guests, either food or drinks, and they packaged any leftovers for us to neatly put away in our vehicles at the night's end. I cannot recommend Deep Run enough if you want a caterer for your big day and love BBQ. Lastly, their prices are very affordable for couples on a tight budget; you will not cut any corners with this caterer as they ensure that everything is beautifully plated, showcased, and served.
