1st issue - Josh double booked our event date and "forgot to put us on his calendar". He notified us 1 week prior to my daughter's wedding that he would not be able to DJ the event...
but that his associate would step in and he had full confidence in her ability. Yes, we agreed to this, and Josh agreed to refund us 20%, but she was not suitable for a wedding. She sat there all night, making out with her boyfriend and did nothing to interact with the crowd to get them pumped up for the reception. The music cut out and stopped during the father/daughter dance, which was such a disappointment. You expect with a DJ that they are going to be fun and energetic for the guests, but this is not what we got.
2nd issue - When the DJ team arrived at the venue for set up, which Josh was present for, he told our event coordinator that we were supposed to have a table and tablecloth for his equipment, set up and ready to go. He stated that it was in the contract. I pulled the contract up and nowhere in the contract was this stated. My husband was near Josh and overheard him loudly complaining about us not having this available and being completely rude and unprofessional. When I arrived to address this with Josh, he had pulled up the contract and as I approached him, he admitted that the clause was not in the contract about the table and that he was at fault and apologized. At this point, an apology was meaningless. His contract states that he will be the DJ to be present at the event, not a replacement. I called Josh post event to express my disappointment and to state that we should be receiving an additional refund due to not receiving the quality of service that we were promised. Josh was furious that I would ask such a thing. I waited 2 weeks after the event to write this post, hoping that Josh would do the right thing, on a customer service level, and simply that is the moral thing to do, but he has not. Please do not book The V-Team....you've been warned.

at the end of July 2023. I spoke only with Josh, sent him comprehensive instructions, spoke on the phone, and even emailed with him the day of the wedding. With zero notice or notification, he did not come to our wedding and instead sent two people I had never met who had never once DJ'd a wedding. They walked up to me while I was getting photos done and I had to ask who they were. During ceremony set up, they told my brother (our officiant) that they had 'no mics'. Then both the bride and groom's brothers had to help them get the microphone set up while guests were already at the ceremony. For the actual dancing portion, the music had no flow or transitions, no one could hear the announcements, and we essentially had to manage them and tell them what to do/what to play all night long. The stand-in DJ also told multiple guests that it was their first time DJing a wedding. Josh's response was that he had to go to a different wedding that was 'more difficult' than ours (again, we booked him 10 months in advance). He refunded us $500 which is very appreciated, but that still means we paid $1,150 for a first time DJ with no wedding experience that caused us tons of stress. We still had some fun dancing and they followed our song requests, which is why I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1. Super bummed.

Josh, owner, was very unprofessional with how he handled this whole botched affair- stating they had provided service and we were dancing. I strongly would NOT recommend the VTeam for any party. He ruined our daughters reception. It was heart breaking to our daughter and family.
