Rainbow Lodge

I cannot recommend the Rainbow Lodge more highly as a wedding venue. Going into wedding planning, I knew there would be what felt like an endless number of decisions to make, vendors to research, and somehow it all had to fit within a timeline and a budget. The Rainbow Lodge streamlines so much of that because everything they do is such high quality. The location is absolutely stunning, and the lodge itself has so much character and charm that you honestly don't need much décor. There are so many different spaces around the property that guests are constantly discovering something new. Every one of our guests commented on how charming the rustic aesthetic was, and our photos turned out absolutely incredible. Huge shoutout to Spencer and his team because the food was phenomenal. Throughout the weekend, guests kept coming up to us to tell us how delicious everything was. That's not something you hear at every wedding. The staff also made the entire weekend feel special. Even at our tasting, Jessie immediately made us feel welcome. She was so funny, genuinely excited to hear about our plans, and made us feel like she was just as invested in our wedding as we were. A few days before the wedding we actually ran into her in Truckee, and she immediately started hyping us up about how excited she was for the weekend. Brian, one of the bartenders, was another guest favorite. He made fantastic cocktails, kept everyone laughing, and brought such great energy to the bar. And that’s just naming a few of the stellar staff. And finally, Emily is an absolute rockstar. She has everything dialed in and somehow makes planning a wedding feel manageable. She was always responsive, incredibly helpful, and had an answer for every question we threw her way. The vendor recommendations she provided were fantastic, and her support helped us create exactly the wedding we wanted. The Rainbow Lodge truly has it all. A gorgeous setting, amazing food, an incredible staff, and a planning process that feels so much less overwhelming because of the team behind it. We feel incredibly lucky that we got to get married there, and if we had to do it all over again, we'd choose the Rainbow Lodge in a heartbeat.

In my opinion, there is no better place to get married than the Rainbow Lodge. From start to finish, Emily + the entire lodge team was incredibly easy to work with as well as kind and professional. Emily was quick to answer any email or question me, my (now) husband or our families had. Helping us navigate even the most mundane in planning in regards to the lodge. Being local to the area, I have been to a wedding at almost every local wedding venue. The lodge being tucked away on Donner Summit feels extremely private, intimate and unique compared to most other local venues. Being able to get married next to a babbling creek underneath towering pine trees and feeling the mountain breeze on my skin is something i'll never be able to forget. The staff was extremely fun and helpful the entire weekend we were there. Helping anyone who needed it and being of assistance too. Our guests rave about how amazing everyone one was. The rooms were really clean and comfortable for everyone who stayed on site. The bartenders and servers were amazing people who made all of our guests feel right at home and extremely welcome the entire weekend. Now, if you're going to book the lodge you also have to book their catering for all of your events. The food is AMAZING. Probably some of the, if not the best, catering food in the area. Our meals were delicious the entire weekend and our friends + family cannot stop raving about how good the food was. Overall, the lodge was our first and easiest vendor to book and I would recommend them to anyone who is getting married in the area.
