Amanda was an absolute pleasure to work with from start to finish. She took the time to get to know us and understand what we wanted (a photojournalistic style), then delivered something even better than what we were hoping for. She was professional, punctual, and organized through every step of the process, which helped us feel really confident and relaxed going into the wedding. She is extremely thoughtful about how to navigate family relationships and dynamics during the photography process, and was fantastic at making everyone involved comfortable (which really showed in the photos!). All the kids at our wedding loved her, which resulted in sweet and memorable shots. Amanda dealt expertly with the big rainstorm on the wedding day by figuring out the right spots to take outdoor photos where we would be out of the rain, providing her own very nice clear umbrellas that photographed well, and being super efficient with all the family photos. In the end, it felt like a bonus that it rained, because the lighting was so beautiful. She had a very detailed plan for our photos but then did a lot of really creative and fast improvising to capture beautiful, unplanned moments. Amanda went above and beyond. She walked backwards for half a mile in the rain at night to capture our walk home with our friends, which blew us away. I will be recommending Amanda to every person I know who gets engaged. Anyone who gets to work with her will be so glad they did and can feel relaxed going into their wedding knowing that they don’t have to be everywhere at once, but Amanda will be. Amanda recently shot my wedding at the Charlottesville courthouse. We just got the photos from her and they are wonderful. She does fantastic work and was completely professional in every way. I recommend Amanda very highly.

Amanda is amazing. She has such a good eye for those quick moments. She was previously paparazzi and I love that! I think it helps her to catch those moments that happen in seconds that others don't see. I am in love with our pictures. She is so sweet as well. Would definitely recommend her!

My husband Craig & I could not have asked for a kinder, friendlier, more talented photographer than Amanda Maglione!! We had the pleasure of working with Amanda THREE TIMES... first for our engagement shoot, then our intimate marriage ceremony with just our parents in 2020 (damn covid canceled the larger wedding), and lastly in June of this year when we FINALLY got to hold the wedding celebration of our dreams! Amanda was there for it all, and captured stunning images of Craig & I and all of our loved ones. Amanda took many traditional wedding photos that we asked for (portraits and posed family photos), but also so many unique shots and angles that when we looked at the final photo gallery, it took our breath away! Now for the incredibly difficult task of narrowing down so many gorgeous photos for the album, haha. Thank you Amanda from the bottom of our hearts!!

Amanda was great too work with! Understanding, patient, flexible as we worked our wedding planning and the needs for the photographer. The pictures she took were amazing quality, so many to choose from for printing to remember our special day!

We worked with Amanda for our engagement (September, 2019) and wedding (September, 2020) photos, and every one of our expectations were blown away. She crawled the edge of Raven's Roost Overlook to capture our dreamy mountainside engagement shots, which we loved so much that we used them for our save-the-dates, website, and wedding decor. She walked the venue with us in advance and listened to the special moments that we wanted captured throughout the evening. Then... the pandemic started. Wedding planning during quarantine and adjusting to shifting safety regulations and protocols on a weekly basis was an experience like no other. Amanda stuck by our side throughout the entire experience, offering ideas and suggestions along the way, and showed up for us on our wedding day ready to pivot and adjust in whatever way necessary to help us have a safe and beautiful wedding experience. When we received our photos, we were absolutely enthralled by how accurately Amanda was able to capture, not only the events of our wedding, but SO much of our personalities and our families' and friends' personalities as well. My husband and I had an absolute blast on our wedding day, and we cherish the memories that Amanda was able to capture for us.

Amanda was a pleasure to work with and her photos are absolutely beautiful!! She is a master of both portraits and group photos and the dancing/in-action party shots. I can't recommend her more highly.

We hired Amanda Maglione for my 50th birthday party and a surprise wedding vow renewal for our guests. We had 110 guests and she managed to capture everyone. She knew exactly where to stage beautiful family photos before the party and capture the perfect light at that time of day. All the candid photos were amazing especially from the dance floor!! Amanda is an extremely skilled photography and so easy to work with. I highly recommend her!!! I definitely plan to use her again as her photos bring me such joy!

My wife and I had a covid wrench thrown in our original plans (July 2020), and Amanda was incredibly accommodating (plenty of other vendors were not). We ended up with a much reduced celebration the following year, where we still got to dress up, and got some amazing pictures (we're good looking, but not as good looking as we look in those photos). Amanda also did a great job managing our parents for the photos, which is no small task, and even helped us out finding a great spot for the photos.

Oh my god! Amanda was phenomenal! From the get go, she patiently and clearly answered all of our questions. And then for the photos! She captured the love between my husband and I. I love looking back at our photos. As for pricing she is very reasonable and offers great packages. I highly recommend Amanda Maglione Photography for any event.
