Hi there, I'm Bonita. I am a Minnesota girl who spent many years in New York working in the fashion industry. While I loved my time and career in NYC, I eventually returned to Minnesota to be closer to my family. At that time, I decided to pursue a degree in art. In college, I picked up a camera and developed a love for photography. Now, I never feel more comfortable than when I am behind a camera but my experience in the fashion industry has proven to be so helpful in guiding my clients through poses and helping them feel confident. When photographing a wedding, I look for details and unscripted moments that tell your story. I am inspired by light and color and my style is a combination of classic and editorial. I have been working as a photographer shooting weddings, families, and pets for about eleven years and my film work has been exhibited at the Praxis Gallery. I have a B.A in Art and a minor in Design from the University of Minnesota where my work has also been exhibited. On an individual note, I am married and have two dogs. When I am not photographing someone, or something, I enjoy walking my dogs, baking, and working with my husband renovating our old Victorian house! I look forward to working with you and creating amazing memories of your wedding day!

did an incredible job of communicating with me throughout various points in the wedding planning process. One of the things that I really appreciated is that she asked me very thorough and thoughtful questions to ensure that she captured every special moment.
Bonita Jane also showed true dedication. There was one moment I wanted photographed that was a little to capture. She persevered and even returned to the shot later in the evening, which led to some truly great photographs.
