e also incorporated a Filipino cultural dance called the Cariñosa that Enxhi custom choreographed for us 4 weeks from our wedding date. It was so much fun working with her. She makes everything fun. Her approach is calm, approachable, and digestible. She made us want to practice at home and even collaborated with moves in case we weren’t comfortable with a step and she had good alternate moves. My now husband and I started out with our differences in approaching dance and by the end of it we ended up signing up for more dance lessons after our wedding. Showcasing our routines during our wedding surprised so many guests. We started off with 10 foundational dance lessons to get the ballroom beat of the major dances—rumba, foxtrot, bachata. Then we changed into choreo incorporating what we learned from the foundational dances. Enxhi invited us to showcase our wedding dance for their annual production in a crowd of professional dancers. Boy, was this scary but prepared us well!! 5/5 rating and so excited to continue!!

ns Ballroom Dance was a short drive to us and offered the kind of dance prep we were looking for ahead of our big day. We went in expecting to just learn a few moves so we'd be comfortable on the dance floor but our instructor choreographed a simple but extremely elegant dance for us to our chosen song of "Beyond" by Leon Bridges over the course of five lessons. We are beginner dancers but her teaching style was so easy to follow and encouraging -- she made us feel like we were pros! She made sure that we were comfortable with every dance move along the way and always gave us such helpful feedback that made us feel confident with what we were learning. After each 45 minute session, we couldn't wait to practice our moves and learn what was next -- we were so excited to go back for more. Following our fifth session, we couldn't believe it was coming to an end but we left feeling like we could take on the world -- or at least our wedding venue's dance floor :) Everything our instructor envisioned and helped us execute came together so beautifully on our wedding night -- and all of our guests were blown away by our first dance! We were smiling ear to ear the entire dance and had the best time of our lives showcasing our amazing routine as newlyweds. We wouldn't have been able to do that without our instructor's extraordinary expertise and instruction! For any brides and grooms considering taking dance lessons, go to Queens Ballroom Dance!!! We showed Yuyri a few sample videos of moves and lifts we would like to incorporate and he was able to help us execute our vision. It’s truly amazing how he is able to teach both the male and female perspective at the same time. A few days before our wedding the studio held a dress rehearsal for us and this rehearsal took a lot of our stage fright on our wedding day!
