The girls did a phenomenal job instructing me and my husband for our first dance.
When my at-the-time fiance and I picked our first dance song as Merry-Go-Round of Life from 'Howl's Moving Castle' we knew we wanted to bring the same magic and wonder of the music to our dance but neither of us knew how to dance at all. We came to The Ritz Ballroom Dance Studio for a consultation and we knew immediately that this was the place for us.
Karen taught us the basics a few waltz steps in that first session then we booked a package of private sessions. From there Bree worked with us to create choreography for us to fit the song. She was amazing at creating a great routine and always made sure it was things we were comfortable with. They were also great about working with our schedule to fit lessons in on a tight timeline.
Karen and Bree are both excellent teachers, they both know how to pace the learning for each dancer so that we didn't feel rushed and we took the time that was needed on steps that we were struggling with. As we learned more of the routine they helped us fine tune everything to make the dance look even better.
By the time of our wedding we were so nervous about nailing every move to the choreography that we fell in love with and hitting every cue in the music. But once the music started it felt so smooth and we weren't even thinking about the dance steps or the people around us, we were just dancing with each other and enjoying the moment. That was thanks to Bree and Karen and the wonderful work they do.
Everyone at the wedding gave us rave reviews on the dance and we told them all that we could not have done it without The Ritz Ballroom Dance Studio. My wife and I look forward to attending more classes because we know they have a way of making learning a new dance you know nothing about a fun and memorable experience.

Hello! My name is Bree and I would love to help you with your first dance! My mother and I Co-Own our studio and it has been in our family since 1996. I have been teaching for 10 years and competing for 22! I have choreographed hundreds of wedding dances for all ages, skill levels, ethnicities, and even same sex couples. It is a true joy to be included into such a special moment in someone's life and I am so grateful for what I get to do. I cant wait to help you create the dance of your dreams!
