Little Blue Bird Events

en care of. Melissa has many planning tools to use that helped us keep track of all the little details. She had great ideas and a lot of creativity to make vision come to life and truly thought about how to make every moment smooth. We had an issue with a vendor cancelling two days before our event, and Melissa found a replacement and took care of all the details. She kept all the stress away from us. The day of our party, everything was set up to perfection by the team, honestly it looked like an event from a magazine. Melissa kept us on track for time to be sure all events occurred. Katee was a wonderful bartender and mixed perfect cocktails. They were professional and warm and welcoming to our guests and we had so many compliments about how lovely our party was. Afterwards, the team tore down and packed everything up for us. We’ve already recommended Little Blue Bird Events to several other friends having weddings and would highly recommend getting the full planning package for any event or party. They help made our event stress free, and beautiful so we could relax and enjoy. I hope to work with them in the future for another party!

, and how we hoped our guests would feel. She was incredibly positive, flexible, creative, professional, and handled unexpected situations seamlessly. We feel very lucky to have had her assistance and guidance throughout the planning and event. I would absolutely recommend Little Blue Bird Events (Mel) for other brides.

ood out immediately as NOT operating with a “one size fits all” approach. My husband and I felt seen and heard by her, both through the successes, challenges, and certainly, the unexpected fires that needed to be put out in the weeks, days, and even hours (!) leading up to our wedding. She always met me where I was at as a bride. When I was anxious, she offered reassurance, when I wanted to be in control, she followed my lead, when I ran out of steam or felt paralyzed with indecision, she offered options and solutions, and when I was truly “over it,” she filled gaps and met needs without involving me at all. We laughed a LOT; she always provided levity exactly when we needed it. She truly embodies what it means to go above and beyond. She stepped in to help my mother in law, who lives on the east coast, plan and execute our rehearsal dinner and welcome party. She saved us a ton of money by connecting us with her network of resources, including an AMAZING florist we never would have found on our own. She offered to pick up and drop off our decor rentals, saving us HUNDREDS, and did not hesitate to hop in the car at 10:30pm to pick up our late-night cheeseburgers from Dicks Drive In. As someone who often struggles to relinquish control, accept help, and fully trust in others to get the job done, Melissa was an exception. I trusted her fully to execute and make our vision come to life, and she did.

go so smoothly. Highly recommend. Thank you, Melissa!

the rehearsal which was much needed. The day of the wedding went off perfectly! Set up, take down, clean up and helping manage a few quests…she did it all!! We can not thank her enough!! Highly recommend 🙂

mined to make your event everything you’ve dreamed of and more. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for an event planner, never been to a party as much fun and flow so easily as Melissa’s! 10/10 service!

gestions regarding décor and meshed so well with our vendor team! Melissa and her assistants were very professional and so fun to work with! Our wedding party loved them! On the day of the wedding, we were so busy getting pulled back and forth for family pictures that she saved a plate of appetizers and boba for each of us to ensure that we were well fed! Her professionalism and enthusiasm was above and beyond our expectations as she helped direct our extensive guest list of 230 people to their seats during ceremony and reception. Furthermore, she was constantly communicating with our vendors so we could have a stress-free day. We had misplaced our cake topper during the morning chaos and Melissa somehow found it amongst the craziness! We couldn’t have done it without her and would absolutely recommend Melissa to make your entire wedding planning process an amazing and smooth experience and for your special day be perfect. Our day was the best day ever! We love her!

rk is consistently amazing. As a cosmetologist , I’ve has the pleasure of working with Melissa and other related vendors, behind the scenes , and it’s always a honor. The Brides, Grooms and fellow wedding parties are always extremely pleased and well taken care of when it comes to Melissa and her work. Weddings are a very big deal, and take a lot of responsibility, by hiring Melissa, you will never have to doubt your wedding will be an absolute dream ✨

was proming, but she failed to deliver on many if the things we agreed to in writing. In addition, 2 days before our wedding, she sprung a surprise cost on us to hire her teenage son as an "assistant" for 5 hours of the day. We had agreed to hire him to help with daycare for 3 hours at her recommendation. She mentioned in passing that she wanted to train him to help with events so it would be helpful to have him there and assist her with other things. When she asked for twice the rate we agreed to for him, we told her that was not in the contract and had never been raised by her before. She admitted this and wrote "it was negligent on my part" and then apologized for not telling us the rate sooner, but insisted we pay him that rate or he would not provide childcare. So she sent us a new contract she wrote 2 days before the wedding. We didnt have the time or energy to find anyone else for childcare in the middle of our family wedding activities that already began so we just agreed to a new contract with her son as an "assistant" but we felt totally scammed. The day of the wedding, her first communication was that she needed us to venmo her the extra amount and "take care of that asap." At the wedding itself, she never even let us know when she arrived and we ended up doing most of the coordination with vendors. Things were incredibly awkward with her and her son. We still had a great wedding, but I wish we didn't have to go through the stress Melissa caused us. I hope to save anyone else this trouble by sharing this story!
