The 44 Venue is a modern, state-of-the-art space that welcomes nearlyweds and their wedding parties to celebrate their special day in Colfax, ND. It opened in the summer of 2025 and is conveniently located just a short drive from Fargo-Moorhead and Wahpeton-Breckenridge, making it easily accessible for out-of-town travelers.
The 44 Venue welcomes wedding parties of all shapes and sizes, so whether you are planning an intimate gathering or a luxurious affair, you know your vision will come to fruition. There are several gorgeous indoor and outdoor locations for you to choose from, or you can decide to seamlessly move between the inside comforts and the open-air elegance. Should the weather allow, you can swap your vows under the bright blue sky before celebrating cocktail hour and moving indoors to the Legacy Hall. This venue accommodates up to 400 banquet guests or 550 attendees for a standing-only reception, and the on-site staff can decorate each space to reflect your and your partner's personalities and love story. From the initial planning stages to the final execution, this skilled and professional team will handle each detail flawlessly and leave you and your loved ones to celebrate a fabulous occasion.
There are two large get-ready rooms, the North and South Colt, available at The 44 Venue. Each one measures approximately 550 square feet and features elegant decor, full-length mirrors, and seating for each member of the immediate wedding party. With a full bar, a catering kitchen, a VIP suite, and a parking lot for up to 100 vehicles, The 44 Venue provides an answer to every wedding day question. It means you and your partner can check your wedding worries at the door and instead focus on celebrating your beautiful love story with your closest family and friends.

We were there for their Very Merry Market. It was a snowstorm and cold, but so many people turned out for the event. So many vendors on the market side of it and they were selling some amazing things in there. I loved the soaps, cowboy hats, th...
e outdoor Christmas trees and wreaths were wonderful. I did not have any but everyone kept raving about the meatballs and mashed potatoes that one vendor was selling. It looked delicious and next year I am getting me some.
They had so many activities for the children as well. First priority was a visit with Santa in his magical room, the decor was out of this world and truly brought oyu to the North Pole. There was storytime with Mrs Claus and face painting, and so many arts and crafts for the children too. there was a play room where the kids could just decompress and play with toys and they sure did. I could not believe how many boys and girls went into to play with all the train sets too. Again, I did not plan time for it, but I sure will next year.
For adults, do not miss the room where you make Sprays (wreath like) and next year I am signing up to make one to bring home with me. They looked wonderful and so festive.
I am making sure I am not the Designated Driver next year either because they had a wonderful drink called the MerryMint cocktail with vodka and Elderberry, it was calling my name so loudly, but alcohol and driving is a no-no. Plenty of hot chocolate, beer, soda etc was available to really enjoy this Festive Holiday Market as well.
To top it all off they had real horse and carriage rides through the falling snow as well. Absolutely gorgeous to watch so many enjoying this offering.
This place is a destiniation venue. Any occasion, this is it.
They really designed the place wonderful, thinking of anything needed for a wedding, retirement party, special Birthday celebrations, you name it, they can do it there. It is a very welcoming space and so needed. Close to Fargo, but so rural for a good family vibe. Make sure to book your event here, and do not forget to look at their website for all their schedule events as well. Hopefully I will see you next Christmas Season for this event.

Every detail was handled with such thoughtfulness and professionalism, and the day flowed more beautifully than we could have ever imagined. The 44 Venue itself is stunning, but what truly made our wedding unforgettable was the team behind it. They went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect, calm, and joyful.
Our wedding day was everything we dreamed of and so much more. We will forever be thankful for the memories created at The 44 Venue and cannot recommend this venue highly enough to future couples.
