We cannot say enough wonderful things about our wedding planner, Chris, and the incredible job she did for our daughter’s wedding in Charleston. Our daughter's wedding ceremony and reception were in 2 locations (a church and a venue) and Chris managed both beautifully! From start to finish, her professionalism was unmatched—she was organized, detail-oriented, and handled every aspect of the planning process with confidence and grace. Her communication was excellent throughout. She was always responsive, clear, and proactive, which gave us such peace of mind during what could have been a stressful time. We always felt informed and supported every step of the way. She truly went above and beyond what I expected. Most importantly, the quality of her work was truly exceptional. She brought our daughter’s vision to life beautifully, managing every detail seamlessly so that the entire weekend felt effortless and special. Everything ran smoothly, and we were able to fully enjoy the celebration without worry. We are beyond grateful for her dedication and talent, and we wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for an outstanding wedding planner. When the time comes for my sons to marry, I will be recommending Chris to their fiances. It was so hard to let go of what I called a "fast and fun friendship"!

There was never a time where I felt there was lack of communication and we always had a sense of knowing she was taking care of things. We would absolutely recommend Chris to any couple considering using a planner! I’ve seen other brides discuss the pricing of all wedding planner professionals in general and in this case I feel as if we definitely paid for what we got.

she was incredibly responsive (I swear she replied to every email within minutes), organized, calm, and full of solutions. She genuinely kept us sane. Chris recommended fantastic vendors when we had last-minute gaps, joined vendor calls when she sensed we were stressed, and walked us through every detail with so much care. On the wedding day itself, we had livestream issues that delayed the ceremony by 15+ minutes, and she handled all of it so professionally that my husband and I barely felt the chaos. She managed our families, timelines, vendors, and unexpected hiccups with absolute grace. She went above and beyond what was required of her per our contract and did not think twice about it. Several guests even pulled us aside to say, “Your planner really knows what she’s doing!” And they were right—Christal is exceptional at her job. She went above and beyond in every possible way and truly made our day perfect. We would recommend her a thousand times over.

I encourage anyone considering Weddings by Chris to read the contract carefully before signing. There is a clause stating that if a disagreement or argument occurs with the client,...

a family member, or even a wedding guest, the contract may be canceled and the deposit may be retained. My experience started out very well. I worked with Chris for about three months, and everything seemed to be going smoothly. The situation changed after she read a text message I sent and interpreted my tone negatively. She called me and told me she was canceling our contract because of what she considered a disagreement. During the conversation, I apologized and tried to resolve the situation. She told me she was “tired of parents of the bride getting confused,” called me “babe” several times, and said she would have to think about whether she was going to cancel the contract. After that conversation, I no longer felt comfortable moving forward or paying additional money, given how uncertain the situation had become and what I felt was an unprofessional approach to handling the issue. Ultimately, I chose to end our working relationship and accepted the loss of my deposit. I am sharing my experience so that future couples understand the importance of reading the contract thoroughly and deciding whether they are comfortable with its cancellation terms before signing.

you the longer we worked together. It brought clarity that not all personalities mesh and that’s okay! It also further clarified that it’s best to work directly with my wedding client (bride and groom) rather than their parents as it creates a disconnect. I hesitated multiple times to even send a contract to begin wedding services as I was your second planner and our first conversation seemed condescending. Thankfully I brought my assistant with me during our in person meetings who approached me with concern over your tone towards me (something I was oblivious too as I’m just here to create the best day for all of my clients!) so this worked out the way the Lord intended. As far as the deposit, we worked very closely together for 3+ months prior to the issue so unfortunately my time is not free. I wish Haleigh the best wedding day.
