You were so easy to work with and patient with answering all our questions, and made us feel so at ease with the entire process, especially when the weather turned and made everyone pivot. You are the ultimate professional and we are SO THANKFUL for everything you and your team did. We adored Chrissy and her leadership on the day of the wedding, and all the staff members were so friendly and welcoming to all the guests. were brought up weeks after the wedding. We had the pasta station and it was decorated with so much thought and care. The beef tenderloin and horseradish sauce was delicious. The staff including the bartenders were so fabulous and professional. I love this vendor. Michael was so great to work with from the taste testing to adding linens and glassware for the reception. His communication was effortless and I knew I was getting everything I asked for and more. Thank you for making my wedding day so special. This vendor is worth it.

Not a single item on the menu was anything less than delicious. Michael welcomed my husband & I in for a tasting early in the process which was equally delightful — himself & his staff were again so kind & professional. Every little change that came up during the planning process leading up to wedding day was quickly included & noted by Michael & team. We appreciate how accommodating & flexible this team was on a day where there are so many little details. We cannot stress how highly we recommend Helga’s for your wedding. You will not be disappointed! Oh, and the bartenders were awesome!!!

e to write because the owner was so great, the service staff the night of our wedding was atrocious. The bartenders did not seem to have the faintest idea how to make any mixed drink / cocktail. Something as simple as a gin and tonic, guests were given vodka instead. They used the wrong mixers, told guests we didn’t have a certain alcohol even though it was right in front of them, and poured incredibly heavily. We stocked our own bar and ended up returning 90% of our mixers and only 4 bottles of liquor. This may sound like the opposite of a problem to some people, but when it comes to the safety of our guests, it was very concerning when I learned about all of this. Again, the food was very tasty, but it is incredibly mortifying to have paid for what was supposed to be a high level of service to learn that my guests had to teach the bartenders how to make simple mixed drinks or to show them where the drinks were. I also provided my own silverware and plates, (which we still have a lot of leftovers) and left everything for the caterers to use while prepping dinner. A guest dropped a fork, asked for a new one, and it took 20 minutes to get it. How could it take 20 minutes to find a fork that you put away yourself? They knew where they were. All around, a terrible experience when it came to the rest of the staff. Michael, the owner, was great, but overall experience from our wedding was not at the level of service we were expecting after all of our emails and in person conversations.

But even better than the food was the completeness of the service they provided-- extremely fast set-up and take down, bartending, cake cutting, creating beautiful displays of bread and cheeses, providing glassware, plates, tablecloths, napkins, everything. it was flawless service. They even made a plate of appetizers for my husband and me while we were getting photos taken during the cocktail hour and had a drink waiting for me! At first I was nervous that Michael didn't seem to be asking me a lot of questions about the wedding, but then I realized that he's done this so many times that he doesn't need to ask-- he knows exactly how to make a wedding run smoothly. I felt so comfortable and relaxed the day of my wedding knowing I was in good hands with Michael and with Helga's. It really was a perfect day!

They are a family team, and they ran our buffet, made our awesome cake, rented tableware, and ran the bar we stocked. They cleaned up at the end of the night and everything was great. They were also one of the most affordable options in the region! So glad we found them.

The staff who served my wife and I before the wedding helped us get an actual meal before the wedding reception, and we loved being able to try everything that we picked out AND that the food wouldn't be in any group pictures with our guests. My family told me post wedding how great the staff was as well, so I'm thankful that all aspects of our wedding, both what we saw and what we didn't were enjoyed by all our guests.

ived from Michael and his team is top notch. Any time I’d have a random thought or stressor, Michael would simply smile and provide a list of every way he could make our wedding perfect. He is flexible, patient, and exactly the type of person you want to work with. The value of the food that Helgas provides is unmatched. Our dinner was phenomenal, and guests enthusiastically took every opportunity for seconds. One of the most beautiful surprises was just how gorgeous our cocktail hour was. Michael described to us a spread of fruits, cheeses, vegetables, breads, and crab dip, but oh MY was it beautiful and so much more than expected. They added touches of fresh greenery to the buffet tables, and they arranged the appetizers to where it was almost too pretty to touch. They also took our cookie table tradition with stride, and took our 2,000+ homemade cookies and arranged them in a stunning display. We actually forgot to grab our small tray of leftovers from dinner after we stayed the night at our venue, and we drove over an hour back to our venue to grab them because the food was just that good! Helgas took such care of everyone, with extra attention to my husband and me as we were immediately brought a tray with every drink we could think to choose from and a plentiful spread of appetizers during cocktail hour. Despite having a buffet, Helgas served my husband and me the whole night, making sure that we were treated like royalty. Our guests can’t stop talking about the food, and we are so grateful for Michael and his team for all of their help.

They also attentively acted so that we (the bride and groom) got food, drinks, water, and cake despite how busy and occupied we were. They were even alert to errors made by other vendors and really watched our back to make sure the day went well. Helga's was extremely communicative and worked with us to have the kind of wedding we wanted. They clearly are extremely experienced and professional and I would definitely use them again for future large scale catering needs.

And that doesn't even begin to cover how competitively priced, delicious, and beautifully presented the food was! I would book them again in a heart beat.

e staff is so efficient, kind, and hard working. Truly a great group of people! Also the food was AMAZING! Our guests couldn’t stop talking about the beef tenderloin and the mashed potatoes but everything was so delicious and served hot! Servers and bar tenders kept our guests happy and full the whole evening. They were on time for everything, helped with set up and making our table dreams come true, and made sure that our champagne toast went off without a hitch. I cannot recommend Helga’s enough!

she had everything set out and organized for our guests. The cocktail buffet with assorted fruit and cheeses along with Crabmeat Charissa tasted delicious! The dinner buffet with beef tenderloin, poached salmon and vegetable medley were mouth watering. Also very impressive was how Chrissy keep a nice flow to our special event along with cleaning up and storing everything properly. We were extremely pleased with Helga’s catering and definitely would not hesitate to use them again.

And the food was GREAT! Helga's is a really great value and they do an incredibly professional job. Would definitely recommend.

Our guests were still raving about the incredible food the next day. Last, but definitely not least, the owner of Helga's, Michael is amazing to work with, he makes you feel like a dear friend, rather than just another wedding client. Bottom line, if delicious food is one of your main wedding priorities, go with Helga's!

I’m allergic to gluten so I was intimidated about the prospect of finding a caterer who could accommodate a completely gluten-free menu, and from the very beginning Michael, the owner, assured me that it would be easy to do, which made me feel safe and relaxed enough to enjoy everything on our menu. We got to customize our menu and Michael was even open to making a Paraguayan family recipe for us; when we opted to have my sister make it instead using my grandmother’s recipe, he was incredibly gracious and the staff even heated and cut our family dish. He made sure we could serve exactly what we wished, and as if that weren’t enough, his staff took incredible care of my husband and me throughout the day. We had a buffet dinner and they offered to make a plate for us, and they checked on us repeatedly to make sure we had plenty of booze and water, too. We ordered cake from a gluten-free bakery, and because we ordered two kitchen cakes, they had those precut and ready to go so our guests could dig in right after we cut the display cake. They plated the display cake quickly, too, and I was able to share a piece of all three flavors with my husband because they made sure mealtime went very smoothly! Cleanup was so quick that I didn’t even notice it happening, and they boxed everything up perfectly, including the top layer of our cake. If you want to serve food that you and your guests love AND you want to make sure everyone is beautifully cared for along the way, we highly recommend Helga’s Catering.
