I met Shawna at a bridal show booth. I would not recommend her to friends or family because she was extremely unprofessional over email. The original quote we got via “had errors in it” and price was increased for the exact same package after we showed interest in booking. In our email conversation I was steam rolled by photographer because I had questions about privacy of our wedding photos for a potential future baby photo shoot. Additionally we had privacy concerns in regard to mandatory tag on social media addressed in the contract. All we wanted was reassurance that we would have sole rights to our photos and others wouldn’t have access to our photos. I had asked for more information about future use of our photos because the contract contained a clause mentioning non-exclusive rights meaning third party could potentially have access to our photos at the discretion of the vendor. I didn’t want our photos to be accessible to the public. I had stylistic requests to have less blurry images in higher definition and I felt ridiculed in a patronizing manner for even asking for Shawna to accommodate our vision. Originally I was excited to work with Shawna because of her experience, but after the lack of flexibility and being told to “Look for another photographer”, I am going to do exactly that find someone else. I see others may have had a different positive experience with the brand and I am not sure if I was talking to the same person described in other reviews. I found it hard to work with Shawna because of the my way or the highway approach. I was extremely disappointed with level of professionalism and lack of consideration for our timeline. From what I understand vendor is a full time photographer with this being primary business. Shawna had quick email responses to send out bill at first, but answers started to get more and more delayed when I had specific questions about contract. She ignored specific questions in my emails and would only address about half of them in her responses. It took several days to get a response back. Regardless I am glad I found out this is how Shawna treats clients before we booked her for the wedding as opposed to finding out how she is not flexible to work with the day of the wedding. I am glad I read the contract otherwise I would have had no flexibility with what images I would have received. If a customer is unhappy with her style, then she will not hesitate to send you elsewhere. As a customer I didn’t feel valued or respected. If I could rate vendor zero out of five stars I would.
