Stoughton Country Club is an ideal location for your party, banquet, or wedding. Our goal is to make your event a memorable experience by providing you with exceptional food and service in our attractive, private setting on the shore of beautiful Lake Kegonsa. Our main dining and reception room will accommodate groups of up to 150 guests. Our Lake Kegonsa Room on the lower level has a full-service bar and will comfortably seat 75 guests. Our service-oriented staff will happily assist you in planning your upcoming event.

mmodated our every request..she made it very easy! There is a nicely remodeled bathroom with a locker room with a security coded door. We stored our decorations here the night before and we also got dressed in it. Plenty of room for the 5 of us to get dressed and lounge on the couch. The food was amazing too. Tim the bartender was the best ever. He served us lunch while we were getting ready and was still there at bar closing. Great service! Less expensive than other venues but still top notch food and service!!
I loved having my reception at the Stoughton country club. The food was delicious. They have a beautiful view of Lake Kegonsa and lots of beautiful picture back drops.

edding ceremony outside and then come right inside & dinner was waiting buffet style for us inside (which they customized to what specific meals we wanted).
We then had our wedding ceremony and reception the following day. Let me start out by saying the golf course itself is BEAUTIFUL....it sits right on the lake. We held our ceremony outback on the lawn facing the lake......it was stunning. People said it was the "most beautiful ceremony they've seen". The golf course made for some great pictures. The cocktail hour & reception were immediately afterwards. Indoors is just as beautiful as outside. The room where dinner was held has windows lining the entire wall facing the lake, watching the sunset was an extra special touch on the night. There's a dance area & bar area attached to the same room as dinner was held, it's an open floor plan which was IDEAL for our reception. There's also an "extra" room right off the bar area where we were able to have our photobooth and a slideshow playing all night. Everything was flawless. The staff was phenomenal. Kelly, the event coordinator went ABOVE and beyond to make the day absolutely perfect....she was so excited for us & so helpful for anything we needed. The bartenders were very attentive. There was never an empty drink. The dinner was DELICIOUS. We offered sirloin, chicken cordon bleu & tortellini alfredo. Every single plate was empty....people could not stop raving about how good the food was. & to top it off it was one of the most affordable venues in the Madison area. Stoughton Country Club is the best!

The people: Kelly, the event ...
coordinator, was not only extremely helpful, organized, and on top of every last detail, but is also just a wonderful woman who I am glad could be a part of our day! She clearly loves her job and I never once felt like “just another bride,” even though we were already her third wedding that month. It felt like our wedding was as special to her as it is to us. Tim, bar manager, is there during weddings and closes out the night. He also went above and beyond to take care of us and our guests.
The space: Talk about beautiful! The ceremony space looked out over Lake Kegonsa, with a lovely dock and trees which frame, but don’t obscure, the view. Lots of great opportunities for photos! We chose not to go onto the green since there were nice backdrops around the building, but couples who would like to should know that only the couple and photographer are allowed onto the green for photos. The building is very nice, and new flooring had been put in right before our wedding. We had 90 people at our wedding, and we fit very comfortably with some room to spare. The décor is neutral enough not to compete with your decorations, but otherwise has a very supper club kind of vibe.
The food: HOLY SMOKES! I don’t think a single plate went unfinished. We were blown away at our tasting, but I was curious if they would be able to duplicate that high of quality when producing dinner for nearly 100 people at once. They did! Everything came out efficiently, hot, and delicious. We served the tortellini alfredo, the chicken dutchesse, and prime rib. I also appreciate that they made sure our head table was served first so that we got plenty of time to finish our meal before we got pulled away by all the glass clinking and congratulations!
The value: Given how wonderful everything was, we got the value of a lifetime! There were also other “perks” thrown in, such as a social membership for the two of us and a free round of golf that morning.

was no price minimum that we had to spend like other venues and it has its own personality. We barely had to decorate inside because the newly renovated banquet area speaks for itself. We would definitely recommend this site for a wedding, rehearsal dinner, family reunion.. anything!
The gorgeous lake Kegonsa, beautiful dining area, huge dance floor;The catering manager is very 'by the book' and will not stretch ANY of their rules for your day.
