at Olowalu Plantation House in Maui in April 2024. We reached out to her about a year prior to our wedding date. She followed up consistently leading up to our wedding date; she took the time to get to know us as a couple and figure out what we were looking for/how we imagined our special day. AND she followed up and made it all happen as we pictured it and MORE. All of the vendors that Sherron recommended were top notch - food, decorations, DJ, shaved ice vendor, photobooth, live musician, etc! We go out of our way and will continue to go out of our way to recommend Sherron and her team for weddings/special occasions on Maui. o a few days after the wedding when we picked up our belongings that were left behind at the venue it was nothing but great and positive experiences. Our plan was a destination wedding on a budget and Lori was amazing and making our dreams come true. She presented us with multiple options and gave us her honest vendor review and recommendations. She also let us know what vendors work best with each other. Lori had multiple meetings over the phone and FaceTime with us whenever we had questions or reached a stage of the planning that required more than a back and fourth email. Lori even kept us on track with our budget when we were thinking of upgrading our food vendor because of a family tradition of having a whole Lechón. She was able to find a local vendor that specialized in whole roasted pigs, this allowed us to keep our original food choice and save thousands without having to change and upgrade food vendors. Her husband Jamie was amazing the whole time also, we even hired him to be our live musician for the ceremony and cocktail hour (he is amazing with a wonderful voice, you should definitely consider him for your wedding). We even bonded with Lori and Jamie over our interest in Tequila. The team on the day of the wedding was even more impressive. We had an unexpected high wind day and they immediately pivoted and changed the table settings to avoid napkins from flying and cups from breaking. But what impressed us the most was that one of the groomsmen had forgotten his white button down shirt and one of Lori’s team members offered the shirt off his back to the groomsmen, thankfully we were able to get him a new shirt so we didn’t have to borrow it but the gesture alone left a lasting impression. This same team member even helped with setting up all of the men’s pocket squares (he was dubbed the pocket square master). The rest of the night went through with out a flaw. Lori made sure we kept to schedule and even pivoted our first dance time in order to have it later during golden hour to give us an amazing view. All of their vendor recommendations were amazing and our family loved them all. You can be assured that the tropical Maui wedding team will do everything they can to make your wedding dreams come true.

We had our wedding on Maui in June of 2021 and are long overdue to write this glowing review for the TMW team. When we decided to get married on Maui, the thought of planning a wedding from the mainland was a bit overwhelming and we didn’t know where to start. That is, until we met Lori! From securing our date, to selecting a venue, Tropical Maui Weddings made the process a breeze. They put together a great proposal of vendors to choose from with reasonable prices for each. There are so many things you don’t think about when starting to plan a destination wedding and they had that covered too. They get preferred pricing with all of the top vendors so you are already saving money. Everything felt reasonable and they gave great advice on where we could save and where we could upgrade. Other wedding planners are all about the money and will give you a cookie cutter proposal, not TMW! They will put together a custom plan based on your idea for your special day. You quickly realize the cost of paying for TMW is 1000% worth it. Lori and the team were super organized and helped keep us on track to make sure our wedding was planned well in advance. They were super communicative, and always responded back to us in a timely manner. When it comes to your wedding day you won’t have to worry about a thing if you hire TMW as your wedding planners! They make sure everything goes according to plan, that it all looks beautiful, and will go above and beyond to make your day special. Our wedding was originally planned for June of 2020. Of course, that all changed with the onset of the pandemic. They worked with us to make sure that when our wedding was rescheduled, it would be the best day ever. Lori and team were comforting and made moving everything easy with so much patience along the way. When our day finally came, it was truly perfect and couldn’t have been better! knows all the good vendors locally based in Maui -- for the big items like photography and catering, she just recommends a couple choices with detailed pricing and I only need to compare and pick one. I can't stress enough how much time this saves me. And looking retrospectively, these are truly good vendors who were perfect for the wedding! Lori's connection also handles for emergency situation when one of my bridesmaid's dress doesn't fit and we found this out 1 day before the wedding, so Lori recommended a tailor who was able to fix it last minute! Lori also runs a wedding storage. Being a lifelong procrastinator, I bought so many things from Amazon last minute, and Lori must have signed 10+ packages for me over the few days before my wedding..... This makes my life so much easier since I don't have to worry about packages not arriving on time or packing everything into my already bloated luggage. Plus, the storage contains many decors and props donated by previous brides. We were able to borrow quite a few things for the wedding decor, even some tradition Chinese tea ceremony decors from a previous wedding planned by Sherron! Lori is also super responsible and professional. During the planning phase, she was always responsive to my requests, questions and comments. Even after the wedding, she goes above and beyond to secure some deals with a vendor. I don't even have enough space to go into how the wedding planning was during Covid, and how well Lori handled the date changes, etc, etc. Apart of all her professionalism, Lori just has a such a sweet personality and is fun to work with! I can tell Lori and Jamie don't see wedding planning as just a business, they bring a human touch to the process and I'm really glad to have them as part of my special day!

our girls trip to Maui. Years later, I was blessed to meet my husband-to-be. I really wanted Lori to marry us but due to other circumstances she was unable to...at least that is what I thought. Lori, Jamie and my husband masterminded this surprise over a 2- year timeframe (mainly due to pandemic). Lori and Jamie traveled from Maui to Iowa. The night before the wedding, we were taking out our hosts for dinner. You got it...Lori appeared and yes, I couldn't stop crying. Lori not only married us but helped me with my make-up, flowers, hair, my stupid shoes (thankfully, Lori had grabbed my sandals), photos, etc... She was perfect touch to my perfect day. AND to top it all off, Jamie sang my favorite song plus entertained our guests. It was a perfect...I still tear up thinking about it. I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day.

She made me feel very taken care of. It was worth every penny for 7-star service leading up to and on my wedding day. They are organized in a way I have never seen before in the weddings I’ve been a bridesmaid in. All of my guests were very impressed and absolutely loved the team. Everyone has repeatedly told me it was the nicest wedding they have ever been to and trust Sherron to guide you there. We had 70 guests and maybe 25 staff, and everyone was blown away by the level of service. Food and drinks being brought out to guests at their seats. And Sherron was so great, for example when photos are being taken she was asking what we needed (food/drinks) making suggestions because your brain barely works on your wedding day, and instantly water, drinks, appetizers were brought to where we were standing. At the last minute I realized my veil wasn’t on before walking down the aisle, her team member dropped everything and ran back to the house to find it, stuck it in my hair and sent me down the aisle. The whole team talks on these little radios in their earpiece so things happen as soon as you ask. It was really above anything I expected. Another thing, my mustard yellow dinner napkins didn’t get delivered on Amazon in time and Sherron made it happen and I was honestly expecting these coral colored ones we discussed as a backup and magically there were mustard yellow napkins on the wedding day. It was magical with the aerial artists, the chandeliers, the table settings. We went with craft cocktails and the mai tais came in a beautiful clear tiki glass. The whiskey/scotch/bourbon bar was a huge hit, no bottle was left behind there. DJ Del kept the party dancing all night (no slow songs) until it ended in a full blown huge jumping and dancing bash. The food was served by sugar beach catering and it was top tier. Everyone absolutely loved the food. Every vendor we chose Sherron single handedly guided us to them, communicated our needs to them, and helped make the execution perfect. Worth every penny and wouldn’t change a thing. It was the perfect day.

Being the first and only one we talked to and we knew already we didn’t need to look no further. We worked with Sherron for 2 1/2 years due to COVID but we never had a question or concern they couldn’t address. At each step of the way Sherron made sure it was in our best interest. She helped me narrow down my million mismatched ideas into a dream vision. Her response and problem solving skills were also lightening fast! e challenge preventing us from being able to have it on Tue Aug 28; the Category 5 Hurricane Lane in late Aug 2018 that hovered in front of the Big Island and creating a ton of storm rain for Maui. We were closely watching the news and weather channel, and keeping in constant touch with Lori, who provided so much frequent real-time info and reassurance as the days neared, what it was like on Maui with Hurricane Lane slamming the islands and not leaving! We were the last flight out of the Bay Area, (and Canada). All our family and friends had their flights cancelled, except those coming from Australia who were already in the air - all rebooked 36hours later, thankfully. Lori and team were organizing and conducting weddings successfully, but Hurricane Lane, not leaving or moving more than 2mph, battered Maui harder. Inquiring with Lori about possibly moving our wedding from Tue to Wed 29Sep, she - calm, knowledgeable, reassuring and resourceful as always - juggling an increasing amount of changes and rescheduling weddings that were being upended, said she would get back with us within 2 hours!! She did. And with news that our Olowalu location and all the vendors were holding Tue & Wed available for us. Wow! Right?! Incredible! We chose Wed immediately. Lori had it arranged within another hour with all the vendors and Olowalu. Just Incredible! We were so thankful. Some weddings on the island were cancelled due to Hurricane Lane, and on Tue 28Sep, the fires that sparked in Lahaina, consumed 9 homes. (and I believe extinguishing one life!) It was heartbreaking. Wildfires during a Cat5 Hurricane?! How?! Lori and her team were amazing - what they all had to deal with; cancelations, rescheduling possibilities, managing and coordinating vendors and wedding locations, stressed out brides & grooms, including us. Lori and Tropical Maui Weddings are worth every dollar! Lori also helped us immensely by offering up the wedding decorations she has available from previous weddings that she's collected over the years, that we could chose from. And we did! Our decorations were perfect! All from her collection. It was very endearing to spend so much time with Lori, her husband Jamie at their house choosing everything and finalizing decisions. We were made to feel like family - they made our entire wedding planning, wedding ceremony, and reception, an amazing experience. At no point did it feel like we just had a Project Manager plan our wedding and reception - we had an empathic, personable, capable expert who can clearly manage multiple projects wit the same personable touch and care, attention to details, that make all the difference. And she is very familiar with Olowalu, which also gave us confidence we had the right planner. Jamie also is an incredible musician who we had play at our wedding and also ran the music at our reception - above and beyond! Amazing! It was clear we needed Jamie to help us successfully manage the music and equipment and proved to be the right call. We have such incredible memories from our improbable wedding that almost didn't happen. We love Lori, Jamie, Sherry who made a seemingly impossible wedding, possible and magnificent! It is often difficult to trust someone to manage one of the biggest moments in life. However, as I got to know Lori through her short stories about herself, her family, and her vendors. I started to become more comfortable and confident with this company! Prior to arriving to Maui, Lori and I have spent months exchanging emails on vendors, decorations, and everything in between. She was attentive and offered straightforward perspective. She is also very knowledgeable with pricing and vendors. Upon arrival in Maui, Lori and her team met my family and husband. We went through everything. She was thorough and thoughtful. She also baked some good cookies for our meeting. This company has an extensive storage that is full of goodies to use for the wedding. To name a few - plate settings, tables settings, candles, signs, baskets, and tea sets. I can go on and on, she has so much, and I can honestly say that saved so much on not having to buy these items. Lori handled large and small crises like a pro! I texted her that I needed a lint roller that morning for the groom. That same afternoon when I walked into the bridal suite and a lint roller was sitting on the chair. One of our family members had a sick toddler the night before the wedding and needed a specific diet. Lori immediately contacted the food vendor and made the changes happened three hours before the ceremony. I would call that flexibility and top-notch customer services! We didn’t get to try our wedding food or meet any of our other vendors prior to the wedding because my husband and I did not have the time to travel to Maui. So, we really had to trust Lori’s words and she delivered on her words! All the vendors were amazing! Although TMW does not advertise this as their slogan, I personally witnessed and experienced first-hand that they are customer-centered and customer-focused! This meant they met us where we were at including our needs and budget. TMW was honest and did not tried to up sell products that I did not needed. TMW laid out all my options so that I can pick and choose based on my own budget. They were worked hard to keep within my budget. Side note: We came during the Maui fire in early October 2019 and were displaced for a night. We ended up staying with our relative in Kihei. But Lori, without hesitations offer her spare bedrooms to us! I was so taken by her generosity and her kindness! To summarize, this company focuses on love and family, which I think are of the two of most important things any wedding needs. I can’t say enough about this family and their commitment at making one of the most important day of our lives into one of the most memorable day of our lifetime. Thank you TMW!
