ergy but has no authenticity or soul, versus a band sleepily crooning and oftentimes butchering your favorites. The DJ gets people on the dance floor but leaves them feeling empty. The band just empties the dance floor. Either way, it's a compromise. Not with Beantown. From the moment we hired them, they took a profound interest in not just our list of favorite songs, but a deep understanding of who we were as people, the sounds that get us moving, the sounds that tug at our heartstrings, and a clear-eyed grasp of what amounts to the soundtrack of our lives together. I'll admit I was nervous when they told us they wouldn't play a fixed playlist or, with a handful of exceptions, commit to any particular song in advance. They said they would read the room and play whatever was needed to get people dancing, feeling alive, and understanding who the bride and groom were at a fundamental level. And that is exactly what they did. Their performance was invigorating and deeply interactive, with performers weaving through the crowd, singing directly to guests, and pulling everyone into the moment. The dance floor was packed. We even watched the other vendors dancing. It was impossible not to. They wove our favorite classic oldies together with newer songs that still connected across every generation in the room. I cannot think back to a single memory of our wedding without hearing Beantown as its soundtrack. We received tremendous feedback about every vendor we chose, but Beantown was named again and again as the one everyone wanted to steal for their own event. So no, the question at weddings no longer needs to be DJ or band. There is only one answer. It's Beantown!!

t seeing a band is risky, but after telling my wedding coordinator they were who we hired, we received and overwhelming positive response from her. This made us super excited! The band KILLED IT. They played a mix of songs that matched our song profile we filled out in the questionnaire. On breaks they played music genre we requested and people kept dancing. They were interactive, & in the crowd. They let me sing into the microphone whether the crowd wanted to hear that or not. They coordinated a surprise dance with my grandfather and a t-shirt toss during the dancing of reception. They welcomed us on stage and matched our energy. 10/10 book this band.

ough direction while fine tuning the details, Wilson Steven’s really out did themselves. We felt informed and at ease throughout it all. And when it came to the main event—our band Splash! absolutely killed it!!! Everyone was on the dance floor for the whole night! They really made our wedding night so special and we are so so grateful! If you are on the fence about booking with them, this is your sign to take the leap! They are AWESOME!!!!

t. I have received countless texts telling me it was the best wedding band they've ever heard and that the dance floor was unlike any they'd seen before. If you are on the fence, you will not regret The Connection! It's only a shame we aren't getting married again to dance the night away w them one more time.

ony, cocktail hour and the reception and we got an insane amount of feedback from our guests about how awesome the band was and we couldn't agree more! They were so sweet and learned our first dance song for us as well as the father daughter dance song. They even allowed my brother-in-law (who is also a professional singer) to stand in with them for one song and my mother would NOT shut up about how well One Step Ahead and my brother-in-law sounded together without ever rehearsing. So a very talented bunch, to say the least. Highly recommend One Step Ahead if you want everyone out on the dance floor all night long!!
